5.0 out of 5 stars Can't get any more bass for this price!, February 9, 2011
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
Started to produce dubstep so I was checkin' out some forums for best headphones to produce with. I was on a really tight budget with my part-time minimum wage job, so I couldn't get studio phones of my dreams or anything. Wanted to save up for Dre Beats or Skullcrushers, and the more I looked the worst they sounded. They have a built in battery powered amp/driver thing that over exaggerates the bass; And without it on, there is no bass whatsoever. For production, you need good accurate bass, which brought me to these.

You will not find another pair of phones like these with a frequency response of 15-25,000 Hz for this price. Superb crystal clear smooth sound and bass, The earpieces themselves are very comfortable round pads that are like pillows on your ears, the whole headset itself is small, basic, and collapsible so you forget they are even on your head! These are def not to be underestimated by their small size like I was at first, they pack a punch. My only gripe is they are somewhat fragile, like if you did something wrong with them they would break for sure. The lifetime warranty is one of the familiar staple of Koss products though, which made me feel better :-)

if you like fast paced 360 degree action and big explosions, this is it. i bought this years ago when i was a kid and this game first came out; bought a PS2 recently and decided this game was worth buying again. you WILL NOT be disappointed in this arcade 3rd person shooter. Awesome soundtrack by Static-X goes along great with this theme as well. Alot of origional ideas at hand here (there needs to be an Omega Boost 2!) a must buy for any PSX owner.

3.0 out of 5 stars good budget title, May 13, 2007

the graphics are ok. it plays alot like killswitch engage where you can blindfire at enemies then peek around to be more accurate. the levels are kind of bland as well are the colors. the weapons you achieve are pretty cool since you play through two storylines at the same time, switching off from a rambo kill everyone guy to a stealthy sniper solid snake dude that has stealth camo (which is one of the coolest parts of the game). the freefall/skydive missions are origional (which is another plus) where you have to shoot other enemies out of the air flipping around dodging bullets, while avoiding anti-aircraft rockets. the explosions have neat wave effects too! the controls are solid except the vehicles, and the aiming could use a little bit of work.. overall you will enjoy this game hence it is definitly worth the current market price.

i guess Eidos wanted to make a Deus-Ex type of game that everyone can play. just think of a pure action arcade type of Deus-Ex on steroids. great graphics, awesome effects, solid gameplay, all right storyline (i just want to kill stuff though) amirite? great selection of weapons and augmentations too. you can drive vehicles in some levels as well as take over some robots and mechs to switch up the gameplay style a bit so it never gets old and is always fresh. the squad A.I that you fight alongside with is ok. at least one guy will follow you at all times to clear out buildings and the rest will cover-fire. the cutscenes in-game are filled with action and movie style camera angles. if you like partial open-ended fast paced sci-fi shooters, this is for you.

fast and furious arena type of combat, huge overkill type of weapons, with good flashy graphics pretty much sums it up for this FPS. kill waves of monsters that unlocks a new weapon/areas in the arena, and then randomly collect pink crystals "artifacts" in a certain time limit. these origional ideas sound good on paper but aren't executed well enough to make a solid game out of it.

if you ever wanted to take beater cars, supe them up to muscle cars and then race out in the back-country on dirt roads rally style, this is your game. the graphics are bright, detailed, and vibrant. the collisions are insane, losing doors, hoods, side-panels... your driver will even go through the windshield in a horrendous wreck! the action is somewhere between arcade and simulation style which blends nicely together with a great soundtrack added to the mix. definitly a classic and should belong in every race car drivers game library. now with the current marketplace price, it's a steal.

5.0 out of 5 stars Beautiful, May 12, 2007
= Fun:5.0 out of 5 stars
This review is from: Just Cause - PC (DVD-ROM)
just think gta but on a 250,000 acre scale and instead of a city in sections, its a whole mountainous rainforest and jungle that consists of multiple islands large and small, with multiple cities. the main character being a mexican version of 007 with all the gadgets and machine gun/rocket mounted vehicles. the graphics are beautiful (mostly because of bloom) with breathtaking views and fireworkish explosions (WEEEEEE! FIRE!) and everything is opened up right from the start so you can go anywhere with anything you see and approach missions however you want. doing missions just unlock more vehicles (89 in all) and tons of weapons. this game succeeds in alot of places that gta fell short of, but unfortunatly isn't as stable and solid as gta. one of the biggest things in this game is poppin' your parachute at any time if you get enough momentum/speed going which makes great getaways if your being chased by cops before your car explodes. also, you will be playing this game for a while (303 missions in all) which in some cases isn't necessarily a good thing. so i'm sure when you are finished you will be sick of it lol. the stunts you can pull are pretty sweet, ill give you an example:

cops are hot on your tail and your car is on it's last leg and your headed for a cliff, you flip out of the drivers seat on to the roof and as the car is airborn off the cliff (with the cops behind it) you pull your parachute and glide down to the ocean (the helecopter still tailing closely behind you whilst shooting its machine guns at you) speedboats and jetskies are havin' some fun in the sun below you. as a boat passes underneath you drop from your parachute onto the driver and kick him off the boat and take over. you try to lose the copter through windy rivers but to no avail. finally you just give up and pull your chute at top speed with the momentum flinging you high into the air, just high enough to jump on the copters tail and highjack it in mid-air! soaring high above the island through cloud-layers you decide to go for a skydive to your destination....

not to mention you have a grappling hook gun that latches onto to everything except people and stable objects so you can go parasailing any time. the island is enjoyed better with a birds eye view anyways right? the side missions involve taking over villages (killing people and blowing stuff up) and then lead to escort, stealing stuff, assasinations, and other various things but are random to a point. the more you do, you climb in rank with the gang unlocking safe-houses and such. the main missions being the funnest. i can just go on and on about this game so i'll stop now.

4.0 out of 5 stars interesting...., May 12, 2007
= Fun:5.0 out of 5 stars
at first i thought this game was stupid and a waste of my money. but once i passed the training missions i couldn't believe how involved and varied the missions were. the controls have a bit of learning at first for switching from hover to jet mode and manually picking up powerups, a joystick or gamepad is definitly a plus. the graphics are amazing and seems to have great compatability with mid-range and top of low-end computers so everyone will be happy. the PG-13 level this game has, is kinda boring at parts but the sarcastic sense of humor the main character has makes up for it. this isnt like one of those dark and gritty space shooters, this game is full of life and chartacter. with bright enviroments and loads of detail that you fly over. i will have to agree with Alcavo in the other review here about the level of difficulty. once you get passed the first island that your base is on, it gets insanely harder. theres really no "medium" difficulty, just easy and hard. another thing that surprised me about this game was the sniper feature that not too many flight games have. in hover mode you can post on a hillside, zoom in and snipe enemy ships from afar with railguns or other single shot weapons. the humor in this game is lighthearted slapstick comedy. for instance, a guy thats chillin' in a trailerpark in his rv folds out huge rockets, wings, cannons and flies right into combat! the ship transformations in-game is something else you don't see all the time except for alot of mech games. if you want something different and definitly origional, this game is for you.

3.0 out of 5 stars If you are a fan of the origional....., May 11, 2007
= Fun:4.0 out of 5 stars
Origional ideas at work here if i didn't play HL2 first....

PLUS:

1. survival/arena mode

2. origional idea in how/what you get health with

3. evolving AI to your play style with variable scale difficulty setting

4. uses the source engine

5. interesting way of achieving bullet-time

6. interactive enviroment

7. Comes with the origional SiN for the whole experience

NEGATIVE:

1. ONLY 3 WEAPONS IN THE WHOLE GAME!

2. needs ALOT more cinimatic experiences

3. needs more interaction with enviroment

4. same 'ol FPS stuff

5. cheap AI in some cases

6. stole some stuff from HL2

7. Blade doesn't talk as much in SiN:E as the first SiN

I would have gave it a 5 if it was a budget title.
