5.0 out of 5 stars Industrial-strength cable!, July 5, 2013
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This might be the best constructed USB cable ever--certainly for the price. The micro-B connector attaches very securely to the device with virtually no play in the port and is unlikely to detach unexpectedly.

Potential marks against this cable could be that it is very stiff and surprisingly heavy (it could serve as a defensive weapon in a pinch). Also worth noting is that there is nothing "slim" about this product so the molded plastic at the ends may not fit in small case openings or could interfere with other neighboring ports.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great value. Well designed., March 26, 2013
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
Let's start with the most mentioned issue about this case, which I will echo: the logo is not subtle. And that's the only issue I have. At any price, if that is the only "problem" I experience, I can live with that. The easiest "fixes" are:
1) A Sharpie. (Bonus: customize by choosing a color(s)!)
2) A sticker. (It may not solve the lack of subtlety, but at least you're choosing who to promote with the back of your phone case...)

One ACTUAL point I'd like to make is that the openings for the power and volume buttons are notably well thought out: unlike some other cases, the openings wrap around towards the back rather than just being a simple cutout. This provides an easier and more comfortable action on the keys. (The Poetic slim case also does this though their openings appear slightly smaller and has a different design besides.)

2.0 out of 5 stars Sizing is off by 2 sizes (too large), October 7, 2012
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
The material is very comfortable, as I anticipated, but the fit is off by at least one, if not almost two full sizes. I ordered a small and I'd swear the shirt I received was from a big and tall line because, on top of being far too large, the cut seemed overly bloused, as if the shirt should be classified as "relaxed" or "loose". I immediately went back to confirm that there was nothing in the description that would indicate that this shirt would be unexpectedly large, but nothing to that effect is to be found.

So fair warning, you should seriously consider ordering AT LEAST ONE SIZE SMALLER THAN USUAL. Perhaps even 2, if you are slim. Even then, the cut of this shirt should be considered... "generous." Thank goodness for Amazon's free clothing returns!

3.0 out of 5 stars Functional but poorly constructed, July 20, 2012
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
Good way to reuse all the micro USB cables laying around from other devices.

HOWEVER, the 30-pin connector and panel started to collapse into the housing after just a handful of uses and could not be re-seated into place. Not entirely surprising, as the construction feels like something you'd get out of a gumball machine.

I don't cherish the thought of throwing away another seven bucks, but if I can't find another one that is better constructed, I may give this product a second chance.

2.0 out of 5 stars Questionable construction, overpowering bass, June 11, 2012
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
After doing a fair amount of research, I opted for these but it turns out that the bundled price may disguise the fact that the earbuds themselves are of subpar quality -- they are on their way back due to a non-functional remote which felt like it wouldn't have lasted long anyhow (it felt VERY fragile and has a rubber sheathing that shifts around when you squeeze it.)

Other low points:
- The bass is much too strong and mids are weak (countering what I'd read about wood earbuds delivering a warmer, balanced sound)
- The cables are notably thin
- Despite how it may appear online, the combination of various materials is unattractive in-person and leads to a practical concern of all the various seams between them
- They stick out quite a bit (definitely not what you'd classify as low profile)

I generally try to be balanced and offer the pros of a product, even when it fails, but I'm kind of glad these were defective since I don't think they present a good value. In contrast, the Skullcandy 50/50 earbuds I bought as a replacement are already a great value, with superior sound and construction (though I could do without the chrome bits) despite probably being about equal in cost with the Woodees, factoring out the bundled accessories.

1.0 out of 5 stars Cheap and it shows (and sounds like it), May 30, 2012
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
These were faulty right out of the box: The level of the left side was at least half of the right and there was was an issue with the stereo imaging (sounded similar to when a wired headphone's jack is partially inserted and there's that muffled, partially mono effect where the sound seems to emanate from the middle of your head, only it was biased to the right due to the other problem.)

The volume and skip/seek buttons are not intuitively-placed or adequately tactile for something you'll be operating by feel. And while the main control button is nice and big, the fact that it is the same button for play/pause, power, and pairing is probably not ideal. While the included case is pretty nice, if you just drop these in a bag they could probably get powered on accidentally (and maybe even enter pairing mode, which could have some potentially embarrassing results...)

On the upside, despite the ear pieces being relatively large, they felt light and reasonably comfortable, even with glasses on -- though this is most likely due to the overall cheap build quality. And while the folding design is nice, I wouldn't trust all the moving parts to last.

These were to replace a Motorola S7HD set which was far better designed and built but stopped connecting after just over 2 years.

Edit 1: Wanted to add that I did fully charge them and the problem remained (tested with HTC Thunderbolt and iPhone 4S.) Also wanted to point out that the plug is mini USB rather than the now far more common micro USB.

2.0 out of 5 stars Satisfactory until they died, April 2, 2012
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
Fortunately these lasted longer (2 years, 3 months) than others, but still disappointed they stopped working with no warning. When plugged in, the charge light will sometimes show green (fully charged) other times red but there's no signs of life otherwise. Unfortunate since the build quality is otherwise quite good considering all the components in such a compact design.

While convenient, comfortable enough (once you found a good position), and with a commendable battery life these were never great sounding headphones and were always a bit of a disappointment for that reason. They functioned properly with my Android phones but died before I could try them with my iPhone. They even worked with a Vizio TV which was sort of a redeeming quality since they were rarely used to listen to music anymore. That task is now better handled by a $14 pair of sound-isolating earbuds with inline play/pause and mic.

Speaking of, the microphone on this pair is just passable in a pinch, but it's oriented so far back on your head so as to make it useful only in very quiet environments.

Accept that you are paying for a well-built convenience, and little else.

1.0 out of 5 stars Very poor value, February 15, 2012
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Race Gear-Feel 3d Car Racing (App)
This game is a 99 cent quality app at best -- there are so few features that I can't see how the developer could justify the 4.99 price point

The motion-controlled steering rarely works properly on the Kindle Fire and the other control options for steering and acceleration/braking that make the game technically playable don't work well and don't make it any more fun. From what I can tell, there is no upgrades, no power-ups, nothing. There are 2 races and a single car.

I have most (if not all) of the other car racing games around this price, and they put this app to shame if every way. It's so bad, that I was tempted to title this review "rip-off", but decided not to since I wouldn't want to imply intentional deceit. I did, however, report the app.

Don't waste a dime and get Asphalt 6 or even the Fast Five movie game.

Accurate, informative, good design, battery-friendly. Has all the details the average weather watcher needs, presented in an easy to read interface. Not as detailed as my other favorite, Weather Bug Elite, but this app is easier on the eyes.

I can't say I've played a game like this before. Part of me thinks I may regret having ever come across it while the other part is convinced playing it will make me an interdimensional genius!
