5.0 out of 5 stars Great guitar book that every player should read., October 17, 2008
I was so impressed with this book. I contained not only great comparrisons of equipment, but also the whys and wherefores of how a guitar makes it's tones. I learned more from this book than most others that i've read on the subject, and would recommend it to any player, no matter how long you've been at it.

5.0 out of 5 stars guitar amp textbook, October 17, 2008
I was impressed, but didn't understand much of the book. I'm new to the electric guitar, and this delved a little deeper into the workings of an amplifier than what I expected. I was hoping for more of a users manual I guess.

Some good, some bad. Not overly impressive, but filled with some useful info. Somewhat slighted towards certain brands I think.

This is a great coffee table book to grab when you'd just like to read something entertaining. Offers a lot of info, but not written like a text book.

5.0 out of 5 stars super book, October 17, 2008
This is an excellent book for the novice or decent guitar player. Probably a little boring for someone who's been at it for awhile. Well written. Does great comparisons to help you with purchasing equipment that will do what you want.

3.0 out of 5 stars Guitar Effects Pedals Book, January 28, 2008
It wasn't a bad read, but it spent too much time on technical jargon, and seemed to favor certain brands rather than getting into the uses, and adjustments as I would have liked.
