1.0 out of 5 stars NOT HO HUM --- It's junk ---- plain and simple, June 20, 2016
It just plain doesn't work. But, don't try telling that to Dyson customer service that, because they will tell you to clean your vacuum - it probably came in contact with dirt. OMG - it's a freaking vacuum - it's job is to pick up dirt. In my case, I had less than 15 minutes of working vacuum before it couldn't maintain brush spin. The vacuum had no chance to get dirty. It's brand new.

A quick look at You Tube will result in many meticulous cleaning tips and work-arounds for this problem - even an official Dyson video. This should be the only clue you need to avoid this horrid product like a plague. No vacuum should be this finicky and poorly designed - or require so much over-the-top care and maintance. (None of which helped my machine in the least - by the way.) Actually, vacuums in 2016 should just work without any fuss or muss. That's good design.

Thanks for ripping me off for 500 large Dyson. I hate you so much.

Potential buyers - you've been warned.

Art of the highest order.

But then I was thinking as I watched it. So, please take that into consideration.

Thank you.

4.0 out of 5 stars Inner-fairly-stellar, April 9, 2016
This review is from: Interstellar (Amazon Video)
While tis is distinct improvement over director Nolan's bloated and hilariously horrid Dark Knight films - or even Inception - it is still quite ponderous and uneven.

I guess this proves, once again, that the Film Editor is among the most important figures in film making - perhaps even more than director. Anyway, somewhere in this seemingly 5000 hour epic is a decent 2 hour movie - probably.

Despite its problems, there are some reasonably interesting brief-history-of-time ideas going on here and Matthew McConaughey is as good as usual.

For some, if you're patient, you can get some very good things from this.

It's not for everyone, but it's worth a try.

This review is from: Fallout 4 - Xbox One (Video Game)
Probably the greatest game ever made - a million possibilities and only a few that are less than interesting (okay, annoying).

(I mean it would certainly be enough to say it's the best Fallout game or the best Bethesda game - which it is - but somehow that just doesn't do it justice.)

Congratulations Bethesda. Impressive work.

3.0 out of 5 stars Sorry, stars must be taken away..., January 21, 2015
Following my remarks is a full set list of this concert (although there is undoubtedly more tracks that have been recorded behind the scenes and during rehearsals). A quick look will reveal the unbelievable and glaring omissions of this CD. Perhaps another one is coming. Who knows. But, at the moment, I only have this set to consider, and it's not exactly great.

My main gripe is that certain tracks included here don't seem to fit in with the theme of the album - whatsoever. I found it quite puzzling to see certain songs included while others were omitted. In fact, for me, certain noticeably horrible and ill fitting tracks - one by Lake Street Dive and another by Rhiannon Giddens - are featured - painfully - at the expense of amazing tracks by artists like Patti Smith, Conor Oberst, and Elvis Costello. This seriously detracts from an otherwise consistent, remarkable, and brilliant album.

That said, I do recommend it, mostly, but try not to think about what you're missing - it will truly hurt. For example, I am definitely feeling the pain of not being able to listen to Patti Smith's truly inspired version of " Babe, I'm Gonna Leave You." It would have fit so seamlessly amongst the other great songs here. But, i will try to forget about that and always skip the offending tracks - they only make the pain worse.

5.0 out of 5 stars The word "depressing", March 9, 2014
The word "depressing" gets shoveled around like a lazy load of manure whenever something is remotely serious or solemn. This is simply the incorrect use of the word.

This word should never be associated with artists like Flannery O'Connor, or anyone doing serious and solemn works of art.

The word "depressing" should be reserved for lazy loads of manure - exclusively.

Finally, something somewhat interesting to listen to. People are hardly ever ready for that. And finally, Mr. West might actually start proving he's as godalmightycool as he says he is. Win.

5.0 out of 5 stars WTF... It's Marc Maron, February 1, 2013

Love him or hate him, he's got great guests and a great app.

This app is rock solid with all the features necessary to make listening convenient and enjoyable - including an automatic save feature, and the ability to mark favorite episodes with a star. But, the biggest plus is that you can also download episodes to your device so they can be played without wifi - an absolute must for almost everyone.

I believe that recent episodes are offered for free, while as little as $1.99 will get you a month's access to his back catalog, and I think some bonus material. So it's probably worth at least that - if only to hear a few of the key interviews you might have missed. Beyond that, it's a good podcast that is well worth supporting (at the astronomical figure of $8.99 a year).

I would recommend checking out his website to see the list of who he's interviewed. That's probably the best way to decide if any money should change hands. Otherwise, enjoy whatever's offered for free.

Good puzzle game that requires effort or tons of trial and error to advance. Well worth a look for puzzle gamers. It's set up like Angry Birds in that there are super short levels for on the go play.
