1.0 out of 5 stars A timepiece that can't keep time., October 3, 2014

Looks good for the price, but loses up to 15 minutes per hour. Its unusable if it is inaccurate by 6 hours of time every day. A few minutes a year is understandable. 6 hours a day is not.

5.0 out of 5 stars Expensive but worth it, March 1, 2013

I have experienced SD card failure and it really sucks.
True, most SD cards don't fail regardless of make but my PNY SD card sure did fail.
This one has very high write speeds and works exactly as it should.
True it is expensive - so make sure your camera makes use of the extra speed your cash is buying. HD video or high resolution cameras being used to shoot full size pics in fast succession.
Overall I find sandisk to be a trustworthy company and I enjoy their high quality products.

If you have one of the Leatherman Models with changeable screwdriver options, get it. Makes a "multi"tool more "multi" and this is a good, high quality product.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good but I do not understand the hype., March 1, 2013
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
I really enjoyed the film but don't understand why its being called the greatest samurai film ever made, or an unforgettable classic.
It is a good movie, far, far better than average. The Japanese Braveheart though? no way. Its a great movie but I fail to grasp all the hype surrounding it and I wonder if its just a well thought out marketing plan for it?

3.0 out of 5 stars Too Heavy, March 1, 2013
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
True its one of the largest size Multi-Tools with the biggest blade and saw, which are appealing except once its in your hand, the weight makes it too cumbersome to carry around easily. Very unfortunate. I hope someone does make a large size Multi tool which features a long, high quality blade, but also pliers, interchangable screw drivers and some other multi-tool features but in a THIN and LIGHT package so its suitable for carry.

5.0 out of 5 stars Best Multi-Tool in my opinion, March 1, 2013
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
I've used many makes and many models for various tasks.
This one is my favorite. Its got all the tools I want on it, and its acceptably light, very durable too. I recommend buying the sold separately pocket clip with it.

2.0 out of 5 stars What good is the best knife without a good sheath?, March 1, 2013
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This knife is discontinued anyway, but I'll share my experience with it.

The blade shape makes this one of the best EDC, outdoor small work knives, and skinning/hunting knives i've ever used. I have no idea why this isn't a more commonly used blade shape. THe handle is excellent minus the stupid SOG cutout in the middle which traps dirt and meat particles inside it and is hard to clean out, not to mention butt ugly. The AUS steel is also fine but doesn't take as nice of an edge as I would have liked.
However, the blade shape - as I mentioned - is awesome, and therefore the knife is great -
but there is another major drawback - the stupid sheath.
The pocket clip on the Kydex sheath is a joke. It wont attach to your pocket or pants properly and the whole kinife in sheath will just come off you when you try to draw the knife. Because of how useless it was, I just took the pocket clip off the sheath - which leaves it as a nicely concealable neck knife - except that the stupid case doesn't have very good knife retention. so every once in a while the knife falls out and if your lucky, hits your leg or foot, so that you know you dropped your knife. So then you've got to rig some elastics to the case or try to melt the plastic into a smaller shape - all of which I did try doing with limited success. Over all, SOG is stupid for making such an awesome knife design with such stupid drawbacks that make it unusable for serious tasks. Irritating.

5.0 out of 5 stars Does exactly what its supposed to, March 1, 2013

Does exactly what it says it will, and does it well. I use it regularly with no complaints.
Stanley also has a lifetime warranty. They replaced my other Stanley Thermos, without question, and without charge even though I dropped it myself and it lost the vacuum seal - which I admitted to them. Great company.

3.0 out of 5 stars Excellent knife with some negative points, March 1, 2013
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
First, I love the knife because its cheap, acceptable quality steel, lightweight and thin. The steel takes a razor sharp edge in almost no time at all and stays sharp when cutting meats or vegetables for weeks. If you maintain the edge with a strop, it'll last months. If you can pass it over a medium -> fine -> extrafine grit stone -> leather strop once every few months and strop between, its a joy to use.
There are a few negative points that make it a 3 star knife though.
1) the sharp corner on the back of the blade being so close to the handle. That back corner of the blade is so stupidly placed that you will cut your self on it every once in a while, especially if your trying to choke up on the handle for control while peeling an apple or something. Not that it will produce life threatening cuts or anything, but why should that be an issue? It should be rounded. I eventually cut that corner off with a pair of wirecutters and that solved the problem. Still, its a silly problem.
2) the handle is textured and sticky. It could be argued that it helps keep a good grip when wet - however more realistically, if you cut raw meat with your kitchen knife, you'll get raw meat stuck in the handle. You cant just scrub it with a sponge either because the sponge doesn't go inside the textured recesses, and because the handle feels like rubber. Try using a sponge to scrub rubber - it doesn't work well.
Cutting raw meat with a kitchen knife is not an unusual use, nor is holding the knife near the front of the handle for fine cutting work.
So overall - I have the knife, Its cheap, and sharpens wonderfully. I haven't replaced it yet and probably will use it for a long time still but when its time to buy a new knife, I probably won't buy this same one back.

3.0 out of 5 stars My favorite Pencil for 8 years with 1 caveat, March 1, 2013
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
Good mechanical pencil . Bought one 8 years ago and used it regularly. Weight feels right in the hand, and looks classy enough to carry in a shirt pocket. The small size is nice and keeps the weight right for drawing and writing. The erasers are good and easy to buy replacements.
I have 2 complaints about it. Under the pocket clip, the color started chipping and flaking off. After a few years it started to look very ugly. Despite that, I like it for how it feels so much that I bought a new one again 2 years ago which has not begun flaking yet.
But, the fact that it even lasted years to begin with could be seen as a pro.
The other complaint is that where you hold the pencil, is just smooth plastic. Its comfortable but gets slippery with normal finger oils and hand sweat. Its a silly problem because they did make a textured silver part but attached it too high up. No one holds their pencil 3 inches away from the tip.
