4.0 out of 5 stars Fun toy in spite of imperfections, February 12, 2016
Okay, this is not a paid or solicited review. There's a lot of controversy on this item and I wanted to weigh in.

Does it leak? Yeah a bit...not "dribbles" so much as an accumulation of sticky dried alcohol around the seams. It washes off easily. Is it hard to open? Yes...fortunately! Seriously, imagine carrying a phone-shaped flask that easily opened in your pocket! Duh.

But more importantly, is it a fun party gag? Heck yeah. I got major laughs from many friends on multiple occasions. It convinced several friends at work that it was a real phone – one upending the unit and hilariously showering himself with whiskey – these are engineers who design smartphone cases!

So absolutely, it is a fun thing to have. I received mine for Christmas, and bought another as a gift for a customer. Of course it's just a toy, but it's a fun and moderately functional one.

No, the TSA won't be amused, and the metal bottle opener will absolutely grab their attention.

5.0 out of 5 stars Funfest for Whedon fans, September 15, 2014
Firefly, Dollhouse, Avengers, even Buffy: all your favourite here retelling Shakespeare's inimitable script. Fillion totally owns as Dogberry.

5.0 out of 5 stars Starts out with a wonderful 30-minute homage to Waiting For Godot, September 13, 2014
This review is from: Travelling Salesman (Amazon Video)
Starts out with a wonderful 30-minute homage to Waiting For Godot, segues into 12 Angry Men and ends up, well, someplace thoughtful. Powerful performances by protagonist and antagonist, rounded-out by 3 solid supporting roles. A potent reminder of what you can do with 5 men around a table and an intelligent script.

4.0 out of 5 stars Better than you'd think, August 28, 2014

Feel free to fast forward through the boring and interminable first 30min, but things pick up once the monster hits the screen. Mickey ("Rickey!") does a fair job as action hero, the alien's pretty cool, and it gets a whole extra star for the last 5 seconds. A surprisingly decent Alien clone.

5.0 out of 5 stars and loved the rotoscoping, August 19, 2014
This review is from: Mars (Amazon Video)
Hilarious, and loved the rotoscoping. Better than Red Planet and Mission To Mars combined. Reminiscent of John Carpenter's Dark Star, as produced for an esoteric animation festival.

This review is from: The Warriors Way (Amazon Video)
The cowboys vs ninjas vs circus clowns movie we've all been secretly waiting for! Beautifully shot, kid-safe, and gratifyingly surreal.
