5.0 out of 5 stars Best book on the making of the original series; hands down!!, November 29, 2013
This is the most comprehensive book ever written about the original series . . . . and it only is the first season!! This book goes into great detail that has not ever been covered in "The Making of Star Trek" or in "Inside Star Trek." This book is on an entirely different level; it is a must have book for fans of the original series. The only problem with this book is at 600 pages; you won't get much done until you finish reading!! It is great and highly recommended.

2.0 out of 5 stars Poor effort from Spacecraft Films, August 28, 2011
This review is from: Mach 3: The XB-70 Valkyrie (DVD)
I am a fan of this sort of material. I own all of the Spacecraft Films series and this DVD is from the same company. I ordered the DVD directly from Spacecraft Films. When the package arrived the DVD was seemingly made on a PC as the disc was a simple DVD-R with a cheap case and the paper insert contains no information at all. On the disc itself; the production reports included were very interesting but the biggest flaw in the set is that there is NO mention of the tragic crash and loss of the second XB-70. This very much confuses me how a major part of the program; the loss of one of two planes is not even mentioned.

I am VERY disappointed in this disc.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great video!! Needs to be on DVD, April 2, 2011

Title says it all. This was a great video that back in the day was on the Discovery Channel (when they show the same content as does now the Military Channel). Too bad this is only available on VHS; it should be on DVD.

1.0 out of 5 stars Don't Bother!!!!, April 2, 2011
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
I was very disappointed with this product. In a nutshell these are movie clips that are available free on the NASA Dryden film archive website. This DVD is made-up of clips obviously ripped from the internet and it looks like it was made in someones bedroom. The video quality is what you would expect from a disc of material taken from low-res internet clips. AVOID!!!!!!

4.0 out of 5 stars Stones at their greatest; Remaster a disappointment, October 16, 2010
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
Ok, I have had many bootleg copies of this film over the years and it is unbelievable; the Stones at their best. The sad thing here is that after 35 years of waiting what was released appears to be a direct film transfer without any corrections. The Blu-Ray version contains scratches, film discolorations, specks, dust and drop-outs in the soundtrack. Why after all of this time and with today's technology would they not fix these things? Mick Jagger on the 2010 commentary mentions that they spent quite a bit of money to repair and restore the film deterioration from years of neglect. Why go through that much trouble but still have scratches and whatnot very obvious in the finish product? Also, the on the bonus features why not include the entire footage from the rehearsals? They left out about half of it. I don't get it but non-the-less I am still enjoying this greatly. I have to deduct a star due to the poor remastering job. Get it anyway!!!!

5.0 out of 5 stars Great little book, August 23, 2010
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This is an interesting little book. Strange size (about 6" high and 9" long but 2" thick) but a cool book. It's very heavy (seems like the weight of a phone book)!! Basically it devotes 2 or 3 pages to each episode sometimes with a summery of the episode; other times with some behind the scenes information. It also has the appropriate corresponding photos (which look grand). Mostly screen caps but there are many behind the scenes photos and some photos that have not been seen before. Has some interesting tidbits like the doomsday machine was actually made by dipping a wind sock into concrete. The only bummer is that there are full page photos of the phaser 2, communicator and tricorder . . . . wait for it . . . . . yes, they are all fakes! Anyway well worth picking up.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great of course but . . ., September 24, 2009
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
Stunning, looks great! The only complaint is that because they redid the original effects (which for the most part I hate and don't watch) they decided that they sound not do ANYTHING to the original effects. So you go from a stunning picture with the actors to the effects shots which are full of scratches, dirt and dust very evident on the film. At least they could have cleaned that part up. Why not go all the way? In any event I still would rather see those then the remastered effects. Just a little grip but for the price you cant beat this set. I paid [...] bucks for a two episode DVD when they were first released so this is a real bargain AND in high def.

I admit that I find most Christian music boring. If more sounded like this album I would listen to much more. These songs are great!! Can't wait to hear more from this band.
