5.0 out of 5 stars One of the Best Super Hero films Ever!, July 13, 2012
This review is from: Marvel's The Avengers (DVD)
If you're asking is "The Avengers" really good or is it overhyped than let me answer that latter in one word. No it isn't overhyped, In fact it is probably underhyped. Because in my opinion it is among the best superhero movies ever next to Christopher Nolan's Batman films. So if you were to die today and you were to ask me what superhero movie to see, I would have to say go and watch "The Avengers".

1.0 out of 5 stars What a funny movie!, March 28, 2012
This review is from: Clash of the Titans (DVD)
I thought that "Clash of the Titans" was so unintentionally funny. The fact that Sam Worthington's character had a shape up and also the fact that the storyline was so predictable that five minutes into it I knew exactly what was going to happened. This movie was riot, if you want to laugh a lot than rent this hilarious movie.

5.0 out of 5 stars The start of a Great movie franchise(Like Lord of the Rings), March 28, 2012
This review is from: The Hunger Games (DVD)
The Hunger Games is a movie that is very powerful. It isn't just about teens killing teens. In fact the actual "games" don't occur in the movie until about 75 minutes into it (the movie is a 142 minutes long). I haven't read the books but I want to after watching this great movie. One of the reasons why I like this movie is because of the great acting performances by Jennifer Lawrence and Josh Hutcherson. The scenery is also really beautiful (Like the woods). The action scenes are good and the costume design is Oscar worthy. So what are the downs? None really except I wouldn't take anybody younger than 13 to see this movie mostly because of the teen-on-teen violence. The movie doesn't glorify violence in fact most of the violence is implied except for a couple of scenes (A boy gets his neck snapped, A girl gets her neck snapped as well, there's a couple gory wounds and blood on people. Still I was surprised by how much I liked "The Hunger Games" and you too might be surprised!

1.0 out of 5 stars Save your"Time", by reading this review, March 28, 2012
This review is from: In Time (DVD)
To start things off I watched the movie "In Time" because I thought that the premise looked interesting. It may have looked interesting but the movie itself has got to be one of the worst movies ever! The acting is terrible with the exception of Cillian Murphy (Batman Begins, Inception, and Red Eye). I thought that Justin Timberlake just wasn't believable. For example, He showed emotions but they were the wrong emotions for the wrong scenes. (SPOILER ALERT)When Will's mom died it looked like he was laughing instead of crying. In another scene where he's talking to Sylvia he says how he will make them (The Rich) pay for the loss of his mom. That line alone is just a hilarious line(Unintentionally) worthy of being in a comedy, not a so-called sci-fi thriller. Also let me talk about the action. The action sequences were few with the few shootouts (and an unbelievably fake car crash) that there were looked cheesy due to the fact that the guns looked unbelievably fake. I might also add to the fact that in one scene Will Salas says that he wants to balance out the system so that the poor are just like the rich. He's saying that he wants everybody to be equal. Know what does that sound like to you. You guessed it Communism. So in conclusion Andrew Niccol (The Director, Writer, and producer) put in his movie recipe communism, a dash of socialism, cheesy looking guns, bad acting(except for Cillian), and of course some sexual situations, and some strong language. So should you see this movie? If you want to be tortured than be my guest but don't say I didn't warn you.

5.0 out of 5 stars Christopher Nolan does it yet again! This time with pure magic and Mind bending twists, June 6, 2011
This review is from: The Prestige (DVD)
The Movie the Prestige is a great movie that deals with revenge, obsession, and secrecy. It has a great storyline filled with twists in every direction and has great acting which consists of Christian Bale(Batman),Hugh Jackman(Wolverine), Andy Serkis(Gollum), Michael Caine( The Butler in Batman Begins), and also Scarlett Johansson(Iron Man 2). The thing that amazed me about this movie, was that I had never heard of this movie. You always hear about Christopher Nolans two movies Batman Begins and The Dark Knight. But when It comes to the Prestige, most people have never heard of it before. That is probably because of the fact that this movie came in the middle of Batman Begins and the Dark Knight. This movie has some great twists that surprised me. And if you think about watching this movie you won't be disappointed. Than at the very end of the movie you will enjoy it and you will say abracadavre to this great movie.

3.0 out of 5 stars Transformers is a great movie , what about being family friendly though, May 11, 2011
The movie Transformers is one of those movies that in my opinion could have used some toning down. Why because the movie has a high level of profanity and sexual stuff in it that didn't need to be in the film in the first place. Second off, I think that they should have used a different actress for the role of Mikela. Meghan Fox looks like the only reason why she did this film was for the money. The action sequences were very well done. Michael Bay know how to do his action sequences very well(He probably spends more money on explosion than third world countries do on food). But he also puts in so much unnessary stuff in his movies(Like Pearl Harbor, the romance ruined the movie). In the case of this movie it was 50 profanties and lack of modesty.Seriously this is based off a bunch of toys intended for children!I haven't seen the second one yet,But I heard that it had more sexual stuff, a lot more language, brief drug use, and even some crass jokes. I am excited for the third one because Meghan Fox isn't in the third one and is replaced with someone who actually wears clothes that are appropriate for a movie intended for teenagers and even grown ups.

4.0 out of 5 stars Dark Knight is darker than Batman Begins. Works okay though!, May 10, 2011
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
The Dark Knight is a movie that has broken so many records to date. Third biggest gross domestically in North America, Reached the Billion dollar mark, and has won two academy awards. Yes Heath Ledger sorta did deserve the academy award for best supporting actor. But the movie was all about the action sequences(including a very well done car chase) and Heath Ledgers character. Overall I say that you should see this movie for yourself if you don't believe how good it is. But for the record, Batman Begins is alot better.

5.0 out of 5 stars Finally a Batman movie worth watching!, May 10, 2011
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
Batman Begins is a great movie that shows how he became Batman. I would say that if you don't see this movie, than you have problems and should buy Batman Begins right know. Because it has great acting, great action sequences, A great villian, And I think all the credit goes to Director Christopher Nolan who has made a Batman movie that I actually enjoy watching over and over again. If you ever want to watch Batman, skip the Batman movie of the 80's and 90's and the animated tv series.Instead watch this great movie.

Taken (Two-Disc Extended Edition)
Taken (Two-Disc Extended Edition)

4.0 out of 5 stars I will find you, and I will kill you if you don't see this movie, May 10, 2011
The movie Taken was very good. The action sequences were very good and the acting was decent. The movie is about a retired guy named Bryan Mills(Liam Neeson) who's trying to retire. His daughter goes to France with her best friend and she gets kidnapped. I will not say anything more about the storyline of the movie. But I would like to say this though. The movie is pretty disturbing once you find out what happened to his daughter and why. I won't spoil it in how it was disturbing but I would say that people ages 15+ could see this movie. But if younger viewers would want to see the movie, than I reccomend them watching it on a clearplay filtering system which would take out the sexual stuff and more disturbing violence.(for more info, go on clearplay.com), THank you for reading my review.

4.0 out of 5 stars Marvel does it again!, May 10, 2011
This review is from: Thor [DVD] (DVD)
Thor is one of those movies that has everything in it. It has great action scenes and some funny moments. The acting was very good, especially Christ Hemsworth(Thor) and Natalie Portman(Jane).Although you could see this in regular 2D, it would make it even better if you saw it in 3D. I saw it in 3D and I thought that they used 3D technology really well( especially when they were in Asgard). So my suggestion to you is to actually listen to the critics(78 percent have given Thor a good review on RottenTomatoes.com)and go to movies or buy the DVD when it comes out. I know that I will definetly add this to my movie collection in the near future.
