I recieved a copy of this ebook from the author.

I read this 80 page book and felt cheated. This book is a primer and needs to be fully developed. The author raises great points, however does not go the extra mile to discuss them. This book seems an overview to a larger volume this author should tackle

Note this book is about spiritual growth . I comes off stronger than most books on the subject matter. There is NOT a false note the author does come across with as other have in their self help books. This stream of thought needs to be developed further and I wish It was. It is very direct in its approach, but it only goes so far..I wish it went further.,It needed to manfest that if the author makes an expended volume

Note I wish this primer was on audio, This short book would make a great spoken word self help book. The author may consider that

This is a review \is regard to the sequel(pre-sequel) to the classic novel To Kill a Mockingbird. On a personal note, I loved Mockingbird, I grew up reading it in High School and beyond. It is one of the books I would read every few years just to enjoy the crisp prose. However, I take this unabridged audio book on its own merits and not on Mockingbird itself as most other critics and reviewers have done when reviewing this novel. I would suggest get a copy of Sissy Spacek narrating Mockingbird also from Caedmon. In saying that, this in a way is a double ewdged sword, because I also need to point out that this sequal is incomplete without discussing Mockingbird.

Jean Louise Finch, who was six in Mockingbird, is now twenty six now. Her father Atticus is ill with growing old.The ideal of worshiping her father, even though the values she thought he had is shaken. It is a total 360 from Mockingbird. She sees her life changing. People she thought she knew, she does not and those she does know have become foreign to her.family and friends test her nettle and her morales.

In the beginings of her narration, Reese Witherspoon loses her narrative voice. In the beginning, she has her character voices running together rather than giving you a complex vocal arrat of her talents. , you may assume you are in for a long haul in vexing the beginings of this audio production if you want to continuing listening.

However after listening to the second of six CDs, she finds a certain spark that makes you want to listen more. I cannot say if it is Oscar winning actress finding her vocal shading or a preformance coming to the surface. Toward the last CD, you will be emotionally wrap up in the story that you cannot stop listening.

The text on the whole is discussion of civil rights and liberties. Scout, the idealist, again Atticus, her hero and her parent...and her way, a bigot to the black cause. This novel is Scout's story and told in point and counterpoint. This is the old south of the 1950's..and this is where women's rights were not brought forward as they were in the 1970's. The discussion is frank and opinionated, but it moves the story so well. Ms Lee drives the text so well, you want to keep listening after this is over.

If you are hoping for another To Kill A Mockingbird, you wont get it here. What you will get is a story that will make you think and feel. I am glad someone unearthed this manuscript. It is sad that it took too long to get this published

5.0 out of 5 stars Magoo's Robin Hood, June 10, 2015
This video is culled from four episodes of the Famous Adventures of Mr Magoo (1964). Robin Hood. This cartoon shows that great animation, no matter how old, is still great cartoons. This adaptation is a neat way to enjoy literature and still have a good time.

Magoo, voiced by Jim Backus, plays Friar Tuck, the narrator of the piece. This is not your standard Mr Magoo cartoon fare. However this is damn good family fare that everyone will enjoy

If you haven't seen this caroon or haven't seen this in a long time, It is worth watching classic animation well done

If you read (or heard) other Meg Langslow mysteries, you already know this series formula.

This novel reminds this reviewer of Joan Hess's The Claire Malloy Mysteries and The Maggody Mysteries without the homespunness. This novel is a lighthearted read, too lighthearted in its scope. The action scenes of this novel do not transfer well to an audio forum.

The one thing you cannot fault is the audio talent of Bernadette Dunne. She has a bag of vocal trick and voices to make an listener take notice. The problem is the raw material she has to work with.

The mystery does not seem sound as a dollar. Moreover, It seems the listener is short changed

4.0 out of 5 stars Cross not at his best, May 28, 2015
If you read or listened to James Patterson's last Alex Cross mystery Cross My Heart, You know what this book is all about. This novel is a continuation of Cross, , but you donot need to listen to the first book. Instead of offering the listener a 20 hours book with both Cross my Heart..and Hope to Die, this was broken into two unequal halves. One can hope that the audio publisher should put these two audio books together.

Note, the second half of this Cross series is better than the first novel. Spin City's Michael Boatman narrates the cross role with an amazing tension that was hinted in Cross My Heart. In Hope to Die, this tension is fully pushed to the limits...Boatman knows how to keep the listener intrigued. more depth to the characters, and a higher quality of the writing virtually ensures that the reader feels closer and sympathises greatly with Alex Cross himself.

Don't count out narrator Scott Sower as creating the other characters. He is the audio point/counterpoint of this novel. Sower takes the vileness to a new level in the narrative style as he plays this diabolical murderer . His game of Cat and Mouse as his way of torturing Cross is frightening.

The Psycho fake out games that this book has is not on par withj the Cross canon. It also seem cruel to the listeners (or readers). This is why I cannot fully recondmend this novel, it plays totally against Patterson's characters

Put this on your listening list, Patterson knows how to play and plucks his audience like strings of a violin solo.

5.0 out of 5 stars Columbo complete, May 21, 2015
This review is from: Columbo: The Complete Series (DVD)
I recieve this box set as a gift..even though I have all the episodes of separate disks.

Peter Falk's Columbo was amazing as the Maiget. Booth have the rumpled raincoats and same ideals of the encounters the dark side of the human psyche. Yet, he manages to maintain both compassion and his style. As mysteries goes, most of them, you know who the killer is and we watch on how Columbo unwraps each suspect. The murderer is usually keen to demonstrate their desire to assist Columbo in his investigations and to make themselves available to him for questioning.

The magic is Falk. These shows, no matter how old are treasures. There is no crime show like this..these DVDs will prove that

FYI "Murder by the Book" was ranked No. 16 on TV Guide's 100 Greatest Episodes of All Time and in 1999, the magazine ranked Lt. Columbo No. 7 on its 50 Greatest TV Characters of All Time list. In 2012, the program was chosen as the third-best cop or legal show on Best in TV: The Greatest TV Shows of Our Time. In 2013, TV Guide included it in its list of The 60 Greatest Dramas of All Time. In 2013, Writers Guild of America ranked it No. 57 in the list of 101 Best Written TV Series.

Lets say this, Falk owned this role..I do not any actor will ever play this again with the aplome that Peter Falk brought to the role. So why arent you buying this set yet! I wish I could give this ten stars for how good these shows are

5.0 out of 5 stars SUPERPOWERED is an adventure in fun, May 18, 2015
The author furnished me a copy for a review

Many years ago (around the 1980'S ans 90's, I used to buy many 'Choose your path" adventure novels. They even branched out to a Classic Star Trek, James Bond and even a Blackstone the Magician versions. There were so many ways you could enjoy these novels. They , in my opinion, weren't for children, as an adult, enjoyed them greatly The publishing industry have forsaken this novel format and discarted it. Which is a total shame..UNTIL today!

SUPERPOWERED (Click Your Poison) is a throwback to those Path novels It is witty and keeps the reading interested in trying new inroads . There are 50 combinations you can have..it is very interesting for all ages. This book seems a throwback to the Capyain America origin and other superheroes throwed in. Don'y let that stop you from enjoying this book..it is worth it

I cannot wait until the next novel in this format

If you’re tired of watching the world end, you’re not alone. In its darkest and most compelling scenes, the dystopian-future drama SWAB has some heart. However the problem this novel has is a bad case of proofreading envy and poor editing.

Note If you can look pass the main problem and the Hunger Games/Divergent like main character...that is only why 4 stars! This novel has a DUNE-like plot without the sandworms..and it is pretty good. The action is there, however the romance boggles this novel down

This needs a good polish. However, I am impresed by this author's take on this world. It is so rich, she could mind this work into many many sequels and spin-offs.

The Late Hal Clement had a workshop on world building. This novels follows many of his points he shared with the audiences he did the world building workshops in. Ms Choare develoipped the dystopian ideal so well, i could see her making many novels of the world itself

Enjoying the Book of Ruth: The Bible in Rhyme

3.0 out of 5 stars Rhyme and The Bible do not always mix, May 5, 2015
I must thank the author for a PDF copy to review this book

The book of Ruth is an age old tale of the bible. It has deep meaning and bold undertones as Ruth was one of the strongest women in the Bible, in my opinion

This book is the fourth in a Bible In Rhyme series. I have not read the author's previous three books.
Enjoying the Book of Esther
Enjoying Genesis (also available in large print)
Enjoying Exodus
However you do not need to read the author's other books in the series to read or enjoy this.book.

However, This book is all told in rhyming couplets.. It is a bit much. I would say this is a book for families with children to teach them the good book. However, some of these rhymes seem over drawn out to the Nth degree. This format in a way is how some of Dr Seuss would do his texts..the bible doesnt always fit this way

As a book, it is a great device for young children under the age of six to get into the bible. For many adults, a book like this would be wasted on read. If the author wanted the adult market--she could use the rhyming text on one side and the Bible itself on the other. side of the page--it would also make this book more open to the aduly market

It is a bold venture that the author has done, I applaude her efforts. I would suggest this book for families with young children
