5.0 out of 5 stars Solid State Whoosh, January 15, 2014

These are amazing. The only thing you can complain about these is the capacity, and only if you are using a bloated OS like Windows 7+ and a lot of gaming software or worse loaded on this drive as well. If you are frugal with what you place on here, and don't set up a swap drive (unnecessary with SSD), keep your file system recovery history size small, this can really surprise you on the performance oomph it will grant your system. Try 2 of them in a RAID 0 configuration for even more speed and capacity.

2.0 out of 5 stars Dated/obsolete, January 15, 2014

Used to be an excellent drive backup/mirror software program. Still is - for XP, perhaps maybe for Windows 7 with an update (not very sure about the latter, to be honest). Definitely broken under Windows 8.0 and beyond. Be very careful if attempting to use for a Windows 7 system, especially under a 64-bit environment... and forget it for anything more advanced.

5.0 out of 5 stars The MMO I keep playing, January 15, 2014
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
There hasn't been an MMO in my experience that has captured my interest and kept me playing (and coming back!) as much and as often as World of Warcraft. The latest expansion (as of this writing) Mists of Pandaria is no exception.

With its new territory, new content, new class (Monk), new level cap and new race (Pandaren) that is open to either faction playing it, this expansion has really built on the previous game considerably. The technical details of what all this expansion contains are found on the Blizzard website as well as fan websites and therefore easy to discover on the Internet and I assume probably well known by a shopper who has found this page by now. For this reason, I've elected to skip the rest of the breakdown and return to personal notes and recommendations.

The Pandaren race and Monk class both are fun to play, and since they are open to either faction, makes this expansion attractive to players of nearly any degree of maturity in game from those with level 85 characters wishing to advance to 90th to those perhaps interested in re-starting at level 1 again with a new race and class (which can and may still include those who do own level 85 characters). These are the first really roly-poly characters in game, and from their in-game comments, proud of it. Humor is definitely well infused into these new characters in terms of their voice overs, actions, and even cinematics.

Mists of Pandaria has a new questline for learning flight in their territory at level 90, a requisite skill that also optionally allows you to gain your own free "Jade Serpent" style flying dragon mount. The questline is somewhat tedious, but nothing like the Netherwing questline for those who understand the reference.

All in all, I definitely recommend the expansion. There's plenty of entertainment in there for the asking price.

4.0 out of 5 stars Reads so much better than iPad, January 15, 2014
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
The commercials are very right. This does read so much better than an iPad in strong illumination like sunlight, and even other harsh lighting like certain bright office and public environments like hospital waiting rooms, doctor's offices, etc. If you are looking for something that offers reading AND color, or reading AND apps, or either/or, then it may fall short for you. This isn't to say there aren't any apps for a Kindle, just that they are few and far between compared to an iPad, Android, or even a Kindle Fire HD.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good collection, January 15, 2014
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
Not all of the films are fan favorites, but often you can get nostalgic for even the "turkey" of the series, or just curious to see the alien done different ways and the film's interpretation done by different directors. So having this collection, especially since Amazon often runs discounts on this, often makes for a good bargain. I highly recommend acquiring it when discounted, or if you're considering it at whatever attractive price it may currently have.

3.0 out of 5 stars Simple steel, January 15, 2014

This is basic bracketing for taking small laptop drives and SSDs and adapting them to a 3.5" drive bay like what you may have in a PC for a floppy or standard sized hard drive of that caliber. No screws or instructions about how to correctly orient the SATA connectors on the drives tends to be included, so you best check your work and be sure you know what you're doing. Often you need to or want to flip the drives heads-for-tails to fit them on lest there not be enough room for the SATA connectors to fit, etc.

4.0 out of 5 stars Tight case (in a good way), January 15, 2014
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
It has remained tight, that is to say taut, sturdy and handy, over the past year plus since ordering the cover along with my Kindle reader. It has stayed on the device and held it securely, as well as protected it from greater harm while being dropped from 4 and 5 foot heights (it is still completely undamaged, both the case and reader).

4.0 out of 5 stars Good performer, January 15, 2014

I have used this cable with high-performance SSD drives as well as 3GB/s spinning drives. It has never given me any difficulties with either technology. It has fit a number of motherboards perfectly well also. I have always used the right angle at the drive end and straight connector at the mobo end if this makes any difference (it should not).

2.0 out of 5 stars 2nd Worst Gaming Mouse I've Ever Used, January 15, 2014
Next to the SteelSeries World of Warcraft Wireless MMO Gaming Mouse, this is the worst gaming mouse I've ever used - especially for World of Warcraft. After setting up keyboard mapping for the game, I've had the following happen on a regular, daily basis: 1) The mouse suddenly losing its mapping all of a sudden. The control app (when I check it) either saying "please turn your mouse on" or its icon in the system tray completely gone, requiring re-launch; 2) The mouse battery being run down after just 2 days of use; 3) The mouse being ignored by WoW and when I switch to the control app, everything seems fine, and when I switch back to the game, the mapping works fine again; 4) The screen goes full black (apparently this is due to the lame way it alerts you to low battery).

I wish to note that environmental conditions are not at fault for the wireless receiver suddenly dropping the mouse reception. I previously had a Logitech Wireless Marathon Mouse M705 With 3-year Battery Life which worked flawlessly, never dropping its signal, never suddenly wanting the mouse power cycled, not needing charging every other day (well, it's not rechargeable, but why is a rechargeable only good for 2 days when another of their mice using 2 alkaline batteries is allegedly good for 3 years?). Are Unifying Receivers that good? If so, why wasn't one used with this gaming mouse, instead of some off-frequency (it is decidedly NOT a Unifying receiver, despite being small like one). NB: They do supply an extension cord to bring the receiver closer to the mouse, apparently for better reception. Oh joy, more desk clutter. (I did not try using this to attempt to get better performance.)

Nothing says "frag me" as well as your mouse setup suddenly going offline during game play, especially when you bought the mouse expressly for game operation. When a mouse is sold as a gaming mouse, advertised as a good wired AND wireless gaming mouse, expectations are high that things like this would not occur regularly during its (wireless) use. This has happened with me often enough that despite my having purchased this locally, I had to complain about this product on Amazon. Please trust my seller reputation as well as my other reviews, and believe I am not given into emotional ranting. I genuinely wish to warn people away from this product should they be considering this purchase. I honestly believe you may not find it worth the frustration. I am using up-to-date drivers and Windows 8.1 fully patched (as of the date of this review).

For those of you looking for macro capable gaming mice, the best I've tried thus far are: Razer Naga 2014 MMO Gaming Mouse (wired) and the Razer Naga Epic Rechargeable Wireless MMO PC Gaming Mouse. These have control software that I have never had the above problems with and whose macro capabilities seem completely solid in gaming environments, as well as seem to fully support WoW.

4.0 out of 5 stars Slick as a silk kimono, October 28, 2012
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This guide is an all-in-one guide to the game, starting from elementary gameplay to advanced tips on the Pandaria content. The artwork makes it worthy of having it bound in hardcover so it doesn't sag on a bookshelf and stays open as a reference book much better than a softbound.

The chopsticks included have actual quality lacquer feel to them, and not some cheap wood or plastic construction. They appear to be dishwasher safe (mine have gone through a cycle without losing their intricate artwork).

If you want a keepsake to enjoy at the dinner table while enjoying asian cuisine and as well another keepsake to remind you of the beauty of the new continent and content of Mists of Pandaria, this is a recommended buy.
