2.0 out of 5 stars Major let down, April 4, 2011
I have read a lot of romance novels. Many of these novels were written by well known authors and many were not. I struggled with giving this book one star, but I did finish it so I'll give it two. I skimmed through the ending and pretty much speed read it so that I could just find out what happened. The book was confusing and lost my attention multiple times. I found myself daydreaming much of the time I read it. I should have stopped, but I was determined to get through it. When the book did have my attention, I was annoyed. The female had too many problems to be in a relationship, and the male was sickeningly sweet most of the time. I'm not sure how you could love a female who has treated you horribly every moment you've been together. The whole book was boring. There was no spark between the lead characters. By the time the couple did get together in the final pages, I really just did not care. The author spent almost four hundred pages creating a couple that couldn't stand each other and tried to rectify in just a few. By then, I was almost rooting for them not to be together. In fact, I was hoping he would ditch this demeaning female and date one of the nice ones he met throughout the novel. I'm not sure how this book had such great reviews, but I guess that is how opinions go. This book was definitely not my cup of tea.
