4.0 out of 5 stars One of the better sets in this price range, June 16, 2016
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
One of the better sets in this price range. Most at this price are awful, these are decent....not great, but decent. Mids and highs a tad duller than some of the better ear buds, but tone knob adjustments can help change the balance.

3.0 out of 5 stars Rusted in 3 Weeks!, June 17, 2015
This review is from: CE120.51023
These are reasonably well made rotors at a decent price. I live in the northeast where a lot of salt is used on the roads to melt snow and ice in the winter, so I paid the premium for the anti-corrosion coating that claims they were designed to withstand 400 hours of salt water exposure without rusting. I bought and mounted these rotors near the end of May...there hasn't been salt on our roads in nearly two months, but after barely 400 hours of use in late spring weather, they're rusting. Centric offers a less expensive version without the anti-corrosion coating. Dont' bother paying a premium for that highly misleading anti-rust non-sense. The rotors work fine, but they won't hold up as I had hoped....like most untreated rotors, they'll likeley disintegrate to rust dust within two years.

2.0 out of 5 stars Nothing to Offer, May 20, 2015
Of the 70 or so saw blades I've used, tested, and reviewed, this one was among the most disappointing. It wasn't the worst performing, but it wasn't very good, making it among the poorest overall values. Mine was close to $20, it didn't cut any better than cheapest blade $5 I've ever used, and it dulled very quickly. It's pretty comparable to the stock blade that comes on most saws. It left a lot of tearout, posed a lot of resistance to my saw, and was nearly a total waste of the price I paid...for another $10 I could have gotten a very good quality Diablo or Marples blade that would have cut better and lasted longer. Oldham is a mere skeleton of the brand they once were...their former Signature Series was excellent. I do thank them for the inspiration and motivation to discover what a good blade was.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great back pack for the price, March 20, 2015
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
Great back pack for the price. It's larger and higher quality than I expected. ... it's a good 25" tall. Lots of pockets and zippered compartments, and the main compartment really holds a lot. My work laptop PC came with a good protective carrying case, that's pretty large....the whole thing fits nicely into the backpack so I can easily transport on my motorcycle. I think it could accommodate a full face helmet, but I haven't tried that yet. It's also comfortable....the clasps that hold the shoulder straps together are great. It's probably too big for most small kids, but is great for an adult or large child who needs to put a lot of stuff in a backpack. It'll be great commuter bag for the motorcycle. Couldn't ask for more.

2.0 out of 5 stars Don't bother...., January 23, 2015
Sometimes it's wiser to invest twice the amount wisely than to waste $40. There are many better carbide tipped choices in the same price range, and many better values at twice price. It'll cut, but honestly in today's market place you'd be hard pressed to find an inferior stacked dado set, so I wouldn't bother unless it's only game in town, or you're desperate.

5.0 out of 5 stars Works Like a Charm, March 11, 2014
Wow....what a neat device. I'm an average Joe Homeowner, and do whatever work on my own cars I can to save money. Since my kids, their girlfriends, and my mother have all started bringing their cars around for basic stuff, I thought a scanner would be worthwhile. It is! I opted for the model that can be updated. This thing worked like a charm on my first try (once I found where to plug it in). It's very intuitive and easy to use. I read and cleared a code within a few minutes. It's really nice when something works as it's supposed to!

4.0 out of 5 stars Easy, effective, and inexpensive, May 7, 2013
This was easy and it works. Installation took less than 10 minutes per section. If the ground is soft, you can pound it right in. If not, a crease from a shovel helps, but it's pretty straight forward either way. It looks like plastic as opposed to real stone (which it is), but with age, dirt, and even a pre-emptive shot of overspray from a the right color spray paint can give this a fairly realistic look.

5.0 out of 5 stars An Outstanding and Unique Saw Blade, February 16, 2013
It's not unusual for me to test and review a saw blade. Over the years I've tested well over 60 different blades from just about every brand available. No brand name has impressed me more than Infinity over the years. Their blades and cutters have always proven to be top notch in quality of materials, manufacturing techniques, and innovation. When Infinity introduced their new 010-046 Laser thin kerf 10" 40T blade, I couldn't resist the opportunity to put this unusual blade on my saw and give it a spin. At only 0.063" (1/16") wide, the Laser TK has a kerf width that's only two thirds as wide as a conventional 3/32" thin kerf blade, and removes 33% less material. It takes only half the material that a standard 0.126" (1/8") kerf blade removes. That amount of material may not seem like a lot to some weekend hobbyists working using common inexpensive pine, but it can spell huge savings for those who dabble in expensive exotic hardwoods and plywoods, especially professionals who deal in large quantities. More importantly, that narrow kerf is effortless for your saw's motor to spin, which not only takes some of work out of the equation, and is sure to help extend the life of almost any motor that propels it, saving even more money. As an added benefit, less material being cut equates to less dust, and lower noise.

The 010-046 Laser TK features and alternate top bevel (ATB) grind with a 40 tooth configuration, which is fairly standard fare for most general purpose type blades. Where the Laser TK deviates from tradition is with it's negative hook angle (rake)... most 40T general purpose blades have a much steeper 18° to 20° positive hook. A steeper hook angle can help a blade feed faster with less resistance, but it also tends to increase tear out at the exit of a cut....especially crosscuts. Blades with a steeper angle help reduce bogging, even though there's a price to pay in cutting performance, but the Laser TK poses such low resistance to your saw that a steeper hook angle isn't necessary, and has the benefit of leaving less tear out than traditional blades with a steeper hook. The negative hook angle also allows the Laser TK to be safely used in a radial arm saw (RAS) or sliding compound miter saw (SCMS) without the risk of "climb" than blades with steep hook angles pose on those types of saw. The 010-046's negative hook really excels in man-made materials like melamine, veneered plywood, or any crosscuts that typically leave splintering from tear out. The Laser TK also leaves an excellent glue ready edge on rip cuts, and is so easy to propel through most materials, it's capable of ripping to it's maximum blade height of about 2" without excessive burning issues or problems lugging the saw. As with any other Infinity blade I've used, the 010-046 features micrograin C-4 carbide for long edge life between sharpenings, and their 100% lifetime guarantee.

Those who read my other reviews have often heard me mention that there are pros and cons with every design choice in a saw blade...there's never a free lunch. Thin kerf blades tend to be less stable than conventional 1/8" full kerf blades if all else is equal, but the Laser TK counters that issue with a combination of very high quality steel and excellent tensioning, plus it incorporates built in blade stiffeners on each side of the hub of the body for added stiffness. The hub thickness is actually wide than standard full kerf blades. Blade stiffeners pose some restriction of blade height capacity, but the Laser TK still offers a generous 2" cutting height. Anything thicker is best ripped with a dedicated ripping blade anyway. Crosscuts over 2" are one obstacle that there's no getting around. One other concern for the ultra thin kerf width is compatibility with the splitter or riving knife of most saws. A splitter that's thicker than the blade will cause the work piece to bind at the splitter. For that issue Infinity offers an ultra thin splitter that can be easily mounted to any insert.

This blade isn't inexpensive, but it offers outstanding cutting performance and some very unique capabilities, along with the ability to save money with less waste, less dust, and extends motor life. There are many common applications where a blade of this type would be beneficial, and many specialty applications where this blade will streamline previous methods for doing certain cuts. As mentioned in David Venditto's statement about Infinity's history, "Quality does not cost, it pays...". The Laser TK is suitable for use in many types of saws and wood cutting situations, and offers extreme versatility... for those seeking the ultimate cut from an ultra thin kerf 10" blade, the Laser Kerf 010-046 delivers some benefits that other blades just can't offer.
