4.0 out of 5 stars Great for Your Nonstick Pans, August 20, 2015
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
These work well. I bought them to avoid wear & tear on nonstick pans. Handles and spoon-end are rigid so no problem stirring thick or viscous dishes. Nothing much sticks to the silicon. I've washed mine in the dishwasher many times with no problems. I prefer using the shorter spoon, it's just a bit easier to control. and wish the set of three included two of these instead of two longer spoons.

3.0 out of 5 stars one of my favorite actors, doesn't appear until well into the film, August 6, 2015

A very slow start and the movie plods along. 30 minutes in you're still wondering . . what's this movie about? Cusack, one of my favorite actors, doesn't appear until well into the film; and his character is stiff & poorly developed. A shame, in my opinion.

4.0 out of 5 stars foul language, and/or scenes involving the use of illegal ..., July 9, 2015

Hilarious (and really raunchy) movie. If one is offended by nudity, foul language, and/or scenes involving the use of illegal drugs this is not a good choice.

5.0 out of 5 stars Powerful Investing Guidance in Very Easy to Understand Terms, October 22, 2014
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
Great little book. Simple but powerful investing guidance in very easy to understand terms. I'm a retired CPA with over 35 years of investing experience and I found the book insightful and thought-provoking. Yet, it's not a difficult read. I plan on buying copies as gifts for my college-age niece & nephew.

5.0 out of 5 stars An Excellent Product in Certain Applications, June 24, 2014
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
The Energizer Ultimate Lithium labeling states that the battery will last up to 9x longer. Compared to what I'm not sure. In my experience they do last significantly longer than alkaline, but perhaps two to as much as four times longer. Even with the longer life the Lithium batteries are more expensive to use, in my experience, than standard alkaline batteries. However, in certain applications the additional battery life and lighter weight of the Lithium batteries are well worth it.

I buy the lithium batteries primarily for two uses: headlamps (I use AAA in this application) and GPS on extended backpacking and canoeing trips. The longer battery life means you simply have to carry less; and in particular on backpacking trips the lighter weight of these batteries is a very positive feature. In a hand-held GPS (I use a Garmin eTrex HcX) the Lithium batteries will provide perhaps 25 - 30 hours of operating time. So, on a 10 day trip I would probably bring (in addition to a fresh set of batteries in the GPS) four extra AA lithium batteries for the GPS. If I were using alkaline batteries I'd have to carry perhaps 10 to 16 extra AA batteries. This is a big difference in weight and a lot more hassle changing batteries.

Bottom line, the Lithium batteries are lighter than alkaline and last significantly longer; they are also more expensive per hour use.

4.0 out of 5 stars For simple touch-ups it's pretty good, May 13, 2014
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
For covering up minor scuffs and scrapes this product works pretty well. It is essentially a felt marker with wood-colored ink. I used it on a Thomasville credenza and it did a nice job of hiding minor damage that had occurred in various moves. Doesn't do much for deep scratches, but does hide even these somewhat. For not a lot of money it's a decent solution.

1.0 out of 5 stars Item sent to me was not a PAR30 bulb, March 11, 2014

The product description "5W PAR30 LED Flood Light Bulb" is fatally inaccurate. What was sent to me was not a PAR30 bulb, but was instead some sort of chandelier bulb. I returned it.

5.0 out of 5 stars This is a Nifty Little Device, March 11, 2014
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
I wanted a small mouse for travel and this Logitech product seems to be a great solution. Its small, but not so small that it's difficult to use. (The actual dimensions are about 3 1/4'' long and 2" wide). In fact it's so comfortable I simply use it all the time and not only when traveling. It worked instantly after inserting the "nano receiver" in the laptop's USB port. I'm running Windows 8.1 and the mouse works perfectly. Don't know yet about battery life (it uses a single AAA). Nice product.

4.0 out of 5 stars Works Well for Cleaning Wine Glasses, March 4, 2014
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
I bought this product primarily for washing the interior of wine glasses. The scrubber works very well for this purpose. The business end is a bundle of soft sponges. I do not think this item would work well for "scrubbing" baked-on or dried-on residue as the sponges are too soft. For glassware, however, the sponges work great.

So far (a few weeks) the product seems durable being used on glassware.

The handles are plastic, with serrations for good grip. There's also a hook built-in to the handle end.

3.0 out of 5 stars Attractive Design, Minor Appearance Concerns, Made in China, December 26, 2013
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
Luigi Bormioli is an Italian company based in Parma. I think of it as primarily a glassware producer. This dinnerware set should be described as designed by Luigi Bormioli. It is made in China - a fact that is not disclosed on the Amazon website or on the dishes, but is in small print on the bottom of the box. It is probably safe to assume that this is a fact the Luigi Bormioli company would rather not emphasize. The design is fairly simple and in my opinion very attractive. When viewed on edge, some of the plates have a noticeable "wave" to the edge. This isn't particularly noticeable when a single plate is flat on the table, but is very clear when viewing a stack of plates in the cupboard. The bowls are attractive, but a bit small (about 8 or 9 fl. oz) and shallow (slightly less than 1 inch) deep. Suitable for soup. Too small for cereal or eating noodles in my opinion. I like the design and the plates alone might warrant four stars. However, between the apparent quality lapses in manufacturing the plates and the small size of the bowls I could only get to three stars for the 12-piece set.
