5.0 out of 5 stars Touching, steady script, all around a high quality movie, September 7, 2013
This review is from: GHOST TOWN (DVD)
While browsing for something to watch on a saturday afternoon, came across this one in my brother's collection. From the start it is funny and even paced, good english humor, kind of a chick flick, and a feel good movie, but funny for men and kids too.

4.0 out of 5 stars Solid Replacement Unit, June 12, 2012
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
I bought this unit to replace the prior model from the same mfg. Its a good replacement, Hope it will last longer than the prior (which lasted 6 years). Instruction manual is a bit confusing for a non audiophile like me, but after messing with a few of the controls it sounds great.

5.0 out of 5 stars A Royal Flush, November 30, 2011
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
From the first note in Ice Cream to the last strum in Joliet Bound, there aint nuthun here to keep you from tapin toes and dancing around in your underwear. This combo of San Francisco and New Orleans Dixieland mixed with Chicago and Southern Blues kicks you off your rear end and lifts your spirits. It is brash, earthy, sweet and spicy, all wrapped up in a live performance you don't want to miss. Best performance and recording I've heard in many years!

5.0 out of 5 stars Toot Toot!, November 2, 2009

Good Double Feature. Major Payne is one of those movies you can watch over and over again year after year and laugh like the first time. St. Bilko, while not as good as the original, is still funny. The two movie combination is a great value for vacations, car trips and an easy pick for the rained out soccer game alternative.

5.0 out of 5 stars ABOUT TIME is right!!!, April 30, 2006
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: M.F. Horn (Audio CD)
Anyone who grew up with the sounds of Maynard doesn't need to read these reviews. MF Horn is awsome. Several years ago I bought a high end album-to-digital-CD converter just to hear these tunes again, but since I listened to them so often back in the days, the conversions carry the scratches of the vinyl medium. Cant wait for MF II, and (can we hope) live a Jimmy's???

2.0 out of 5 stars A Sad Last Effort, September 9, 2004
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Genius Loves Company (Audio CD)
The upbeat anticipation I experienced prior to hearing this album was sharply contrasted with the reality of the production. Although I resisted the feeling, it was nevertheless a tired and frail Ray who was occasionally spliced into the songs of various other artists and their bands. A few of the tunes were listenable, but this is not the energized, bright and beautiful Ray Charles who cut through the music scene with his own sound. Don't buy it, I'll send you mine.
