4.0 out of 5 stars Good basic stuff, March 8, 2009
I am new to Word Press and found this to be a great overview with sufficient enough detail to make it worthwhile. The simple stuff is often overlooked in this type of book but in this cases they did a a great job. Deep enough to keep your interest.

4.0 out of 5 stars Wow! - Very comprehensive!, December 27, 2007
This is a very deep book on fundraising and the content (short of the use of the internet) is very comprehensive. A very good reference and deep read.

5.0 out of 5 stars Simple, Direct and Complete - In Silence, November 25, 2007
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
The Carthusians have remained a mystery for years, even for those who wanted to know more. The arms length approach to the world has preserved this way of life to the greatest part and Groning's direct access to the monks, complete with appropriate waiting (10 + years) and restrictions (no artificial light, no soundtrack) is remarkable on two fronts. First and foremost that he was able to do the film at all and secondly through his deep sense of stewardship by presenting and accepting the situation "as is" vs. adding any theatrical or cinematic props. The slow almost plodding presentation does what is only possible via this approach, that time essentially shifts once entering the charterhouse. The senses are all intensified and the very simple and direct experience of finding who you really are begins. This was not an easy film to make and watching it can be both instructive on the Cathusian order itself as a piece of history but hopefully, and more importantly it can open a small window into who you are and your relationship with God. Watching this nearly 3 hours silent effort in an American theater can be its' own source of entertainment as the bulk of the crowd fidgets and maneuvers to find comfort in the silence and unfamiliar surroundings. A great film on numerous levels but not intended for the idly curious or art crowd, this is the serious business of the struggle for faith.

4.0 out of 5 stars Macromedia & Allaire - It just get's better and better!, November 26, 2001
This review is from: HomeSite 5.0 (CD-ROM)
For those who prefer to go the slim route Macromedia now brings it's visual design influence to a hand coders dream. The improved design interface and addtion of new tools makes 5.0 a nice improvement. Fetures suchs as XHTML Support, Secondary Files tab, Auto Backup as well as serious improvment in validation (HTML, XHTML, CFML, JSP and SMIL). A nice start to a new marriage of two great's, absolutely cannot beat the upgrade price!

5.0 out of 5 stars Web Wonder, June 21, 2000
Debabilizer is a very serious tool for those who must deal with and standardize multiple formats for output. With over 100 or more inbound file formats and equal weight on the outbound side this is a serious product for production file conversion. Scripting and batch processing make this the tool of choice for high volume output. If you have one or two images to convert or maintain, tools of less depth will do - this is a serious tool for serious production.

5.0 out of 5 stars Believe The Hype!, June 21, 2000
This review is from: WHITE LADDER (Audio CD)
In an industry that has pushed mediocrityand bad taste to new heights this truly comes as a stand out effort - DO NOT BE CONFUSED, THIS IS THE REAL DEAL. I had the good fortune of seeing David Gray open for Shawn Colvin several years ago and was struck by the simple and honest approach. This CD, much like the live performance is a testimonial to his quiet confidence. The music is presented to stand on its' own merit, it is that good. No puff, glam or overblown attempt at grabbing your emotions - it will take them anyway. You will enjoy this and he will be glad you did! Water in the desert for weary travelers -ENJOY!

4.0 out of 5 stars BRING IT BACK! BRING IT BACK!, March 10, 2000
I could not agree more, gret software lousy documentation. This is an essential tool in the graphic arts/design arsenal, it is only appropriate to have high quality documentation to go with it! Stephen Moye is at the top of his game on this, I have seen it and want it!

5.0 out of 5 stars You can't dance if your soul isn't moved, July 6, 1998
This review is from: London 0 Hull 4 (Audio CD)
These guys are exceptional. A rare glimpse at a band that is capable of mixing the social and the political with impact and fun. This is not to be missed, buy it on blind faith. As the Housemartins say next time the bankers are having a party don't crash it, burn the house down!
