5.0 out of 5 stars Thompson, Sarli, and Stephens are a winning team., August 22, 2007
The system is streamlined, but not dumbed down as some would have you believe. The skills system is easier to manage at the lack of being able to be what some believe, the "best" in a certain aspect of skill-usage. Positive and Negative modifiers, Skill Training and Skill Focus all incur based on a +5/-5 system, making the system easier to get through faster without stopping to do math (because not everyone can calculate pi to the nearest hundreth). Combat is designed to make battles more cinematic and climactic, returning to the old Natural 20 to crit with no confirmation roll to preserve the nature of the natural 20.
The system is loosely based off of D20 modern in respect to Talents, making classes able to easily differentiate themselves from one another as well as thoe within the same class. I.e. A Jedi could take Consular, Guardian, Sentinel, Lightsaber, or Force talents, or he could take talents from each, mixing and matching.

The only downside is that errata has needed to be produced changed some things up, but not game altering, some material wasn't editted correctly, and some iconic stat-blocks are off, but the errata was produced within the month, if not a few weeks after distribution, allowing players instant gratification.

This is by far, one of the best RPGs out there to get people into playing, I even got a player, a girl no less (huzzah!), with no prior interest in playing, to play and she loves it!
