Pros: Liked the scent and the texture.

Cons: Bought it to lighten dark spots, and although I applied it faithfully twice a day, the spots remain.

5.0 out of 5 stars Feel Like a Graceful Ballerina!, July 26, 2014
This review is from: Barre Fitness DVD (DVD)
This DVD consists of 3 20-minute workouts: Cardio Ballet, Barre Burn, and Floor Barre. I loved the outdoor setting--on the water with boats and sea birds passing in the background. The music was perfect--recognizable classical melodies (such as Beethoven's Ode to Joy and Pachelbel's Canon) arranged with a beat which worked well with the moves. There were options for those of us who prefer low impact; I was surprised at how much of a sweat I worked up with what looked initially like one of those gentle workouts. Kudos to Jessica for making this klutz feel like a graceful ballerina!

5.0 out of 5 stars Loved This Workout!, July 12, 2014
Jessica, her mom, and a friend are your companions for two 30 minute walking routines with intervals targeting either the lower body or the abs. I have done quite a few “walking” workouts, and this is definitely one of the best. The outdoor setting (on a marina with boats going by and sea birds flying past) is very pleasant. The music is good, the moves are fun and the time passed quickly; you can definitely work up a sweat without stressing your joints. Jessica is great-- her modifications for high impact moves are never patronizing: “Listen to your body and do what works for you.”

1.0 out of 5 stars Horrible!, June 20, 2014
I used to like this product, but they seem to have reformulated it. Why they would change a smooth, easily absorbed lotion into something with a thick and gloppy texture, so heavy that it leaves a white film, I don't understand. As another reviewer mentioned, they do not care--I called their customer line, and the person said,"We changed it a year ago--thanks for calling."

No apology or anything--well, they have definitely lost a customer!

5.0 out of 5 stars A Page Turner--Could Not Put it Down!, June 17, 2014
Have you ever been drawn into a book? That is how I felt reading The Summer Wind by Mary Alice Monroe. The evocative descriptions transported me to the South Carolina beach, and the insightful characterizations made me feel as if I could visit Mamaw’s house and be welcomed with a glass of sweet tea. Even though this is book two of a trilogy, it really stands very well on its own, continuing the story of Marietta Muir (Mamaw) and her three adult granddaughters, half-sisters with the same father, who are just getting reacquainted. Mamaw has invited them to her home at the beach for the summer, knowing she will soon be moving, and hoping that Dora, Carson, and Harper will become friends. Romance, friendships, and family issues are woven together with storms, dolphins and sea turtles beautifully. A page turner which I just could not put down--highly recommended!

2.0 out of 5 stars Pretty, but Didn't Last, January 12, 2014
This reflective collar is attractive, and looked very good on my grey cat. However, the latch is quite flimsy and broke after a short time, even on an indoor cat. I'm very disappointed that I had to purchase another collar this soon. (Now I'm trying the Lupine cat collar--it is made in USA and claims to have a lifetime guarantee.)

5.0 out of 5 stars Delightfully Magical, December 1, 2013
Fleeing an abusive marriage, Faye accepts a job in London, and moves there with her two young children. The surly landlady instructs Fay not to bother her elderly mother ("Crazy Wendy") who lives upstairs. But Wendy welcomes the children's visits, and as Jack, a handsome scientist, and Faye draw closer to her, they learn more of Wendy's story--she claims to be the Wendy that Peter Pan took to Neverland. I enjoyed reading this page-turner with well-developed characters (each with an intriguing back story) and a delightful touch of magic.

4.0 out of 5 stars San Francisco Setting, November 22, 2013
Sharon McCone is a detective working in San Francisco for the All Souls Legal Cooperative. What was presented to Sharon as a routine investigation turns into something much more, and she finds herself in the midst of murder. The San Francisco ambience of these books really envelops you—if you have ever been there you will feel right at home. If you’ve never visited, this is a great way to do so vicariously.
