3.0 out of 5 stars Shame on your bluray Disney., March 20, 2014
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
Movie is just as good as always. Bluray and packaging though is shameful. I should have clued into the fact that the movie was literally JUST in theaters but you ever know with Disney they sometimes can surprise you. The bluray has budget cuts and speedy processesing written all over it. The past 2 Disney Animation releases have made cuts on the actual disc print no longer do we receive animation on the disc as of "frozen" & "Wreck it Ralph", all we get is a blue disc with the title printed on, cutting corners to save a few cents on each disc by taking away Disney Quality.

Disney has made some of the best blurays to date. They include awesome online features as well as awesome bonus features. This is where I feel like this bluray release was rushed and they just wanted a cash grab with the intention to release a later version with all the features and again people will most likely buy it. I'm just kind of mad that they didn't really live up to their usual bluray greatness but this release receives a D- for the blurays and an A for the movie.

5.0 out of 5 stars Nostagia at it's best., December 2, 2013

-Story/Length-

Your story is your same old, same old Mario. Princess is taken, Mario must save her. Though this plot has been used so many times now, its not getting old as it is turning into a staple of Mario games. Thus when it is changed people go crazy over it. The games still sell though, and why? because of the tried and true plots of these games still offer polish, the same workable plot, and offer a bunch of content for completionists.

This is the first time in awhile that princess peach isn't actually pre say kidnapped but instead imprisoned in her own castle by bowser. Bowser turns her castle into his new layer instead of taking her for a short ride to his place. so in this side scroller Mario starts far, far away from his beloved princess. The first level you encounter the newest ability the acorns, which in return turns you into a flying squirrel. This is the trump power up as I found myself wanting it in 90% of the levels. The Story is very clean and cut just like every side scrolling mario as they all are close to the same thing. the 3D marios are where this 'Tends' to differ. So Tride and True to the mario series, this is an unbroken story and gets a star.

-1 Star-

-Graphics-

HD Mario!!! this is the first 'True' Game with HD Mario and though it could and will get prettier. Though this game is in its own right extremely pretty and colorful.

-Soundtrack-

Upbeat and whimsical. very enjoyable.

-Replay Value-

For Clompetionists this game has tons of replay value. The bonus levels can actually be extremely difficult, and tons of fun.

-Extras, Wii U Exclusive-

The extras are interesting this time around. Coin rush for the last Handheld version of the game lacked a lot and was pretty boring for extra content. This time around Nintendo included some great stuff. Time trials, Jumps trials, Air trials, and boost mode which's only possible on Wii U. I am really enjoying this extra content and it also adds a lot of replay value.

As for Multiplayer, its only notable in Boost mode, where the team needs to work together to finish the objectives.

-1 Star-

-Conclusion-

All in all this is a GREAT first game to play on the system, and though everything could play on the Wii, the HD just blows the Wii version outta the water. Definitely worth a play through for someone new to the series, or someone familiar with it as well.

This game is definitely a must buy if you enjoy platformers, and own a Wii U.

A great buy. Amazonbasics prices rival even the cheapest, Monoprice and media bridge. The cable worked great for what I needed. Easy to tell left from right wire unlike some other cable I've had in the past.

4.0 out of 5 stars Best 3rd Party game so far, by far., December 2, 2013
This review is from: Rayman Legends (Video Game)
I was extremely excited for this game. I absolutely love platforming games and from the hype that surrounded this title I was super excited. It was one of the reasons I bought the console, other then various other Nintendo titles I wanted as well.

SO lets begin.

-Story/Length-
Rayman is a very fast pace game, I finished the main story of the game in about 5 hours. I probably could have finished the main story faster if I wasn't trying to 100% each level. SO this game is actually very good for speed runs, theres more to that later. The story was simple and to the point and actually a lot of fun. One thing that truly surprised me was the amount of content, you get all these new levels but also the Back to Origins levels which is about almost 50ish extra levels on top of the main story. It's a large amount of content and a very large game to actually 100%. All in all Story and Length Achieved their Star.

-1 Star-

-Boss Battles-

These are some of the best boss battles I have played probably since God of War. God of War is leaps and bounds for boss battles for me, but thats besides the point. The bosses were very whimsical and epic every time I saw a new one. The levels were very well used in creating the Boss Battle environments and this game is worth it just for these bosses.

-Soundtrack-

What can I say, this game has a great soundtrack. I was never annoyed by it, in fact a good amount of the levels have the perfect music to either get you pumped or sedated as you play through them. This category really comes into play during the musical levels as well the running levels.

-1 Star-

-Replay Value-

This automatically gets a star as the replay value is endless. With addicting running levels you'll never feel finished with the leader boards. but that is just in the main story. There is also a challenges mode where you have a daily challenge and a weekly and within those there is a super hard mode and a normal mode. so 2 different challenges a day going against every owner of the game on its respective consoles, on top of that 2 weekly challenges, you'll find yourself revisiting this title often even after 100% the main game.

-1 Star-

-Graphics-

Full 1080p Cartoons are just extremely pretty. This game does not lack on the imagery. Everything being whimsical and just overall a beautiful looking game.

-1 Star-

-Extras, Wii U Exclusive-

Lets talk about probably my FAVORITE part of the game. The musical levels were extremely well done. they also offer some extreme difficulty at times.

Some things I didn't truly love though was the murphy levels. They were actually very good and a great inclusion of the gamepad, but there were just too many. With no option to play with a normal character unless playing multiplayer. It worked vey well, just to much of it.

As for multiplayer. it wasn't a HUGE deal in this game thus why its not separate. It has the same idea as boost mode in Super Mario Bros U. One player controls the objects that the player interacts with, and in the regular game its just a free for all through the level. Implements in a basic way, so not exactly a bad thing. but not a revolutionary feature either.

-Conclusion-

All in all This was a GREAT game. It'll last you a long time if trying to 100% the game, and it also offers a challenge to even the most experienced of gamers. Though not a prefect game, it is definitely one of the best on Wii U at the moment and definitely worth a play through just for the whimsical story that is the game.

Overall Score. -4 Stars-

5.0 out of 5 stars Was expecting sooooo much worse, December 11, 2012

These are great screen protectors. I know what your thinking, DUDE THEYRE JUST SCREEN PROTECTORS CALM DOWN.

Bare with me for a second as to why I rated these so well.

Being that these were the first available 3DSXL screen protectors I was expecting the normal drab of 2 piece protectors with one stick side and one peel side.

What i found in this box was the most ingenious screen protector system I have seen to date, and I have tried plenty with all the handheld gadgets that I have.

It was practically impossible for someone to screw up the sticking process.

Step one, clean your screen.

Step 2: Place full sheet of protector side 2 down in Handhelds screen radius

Step 3. Pull Tab

Step 4: Realize that was the easiest screen protector you have ever encountered, and it was most likely one of the most efficient as well.

Step 5: Play a game and get over how awesome that experience just was.
