5.0 out of 5 stars wonderful!, May 9, 2014
This is much more than a recipe book. The illustrations , story, and children's activities are whimsical and keep children and adults very entertained without the ice cream. Of course, having the ice cream to eat would be even better! The photographs seem to capture the flavor of the ice cream and inspire you to run out and begin making your own.
This book is one you will enjoy even if you don't intend to make your own ice cream, but the recipes are easy to follow along as you begin your own ice cream adventure.

Love the touch screen. Battery doesn't last as long as I would like. Wish there was a way to file books by category.

5.0 out of 5 stars So fun..., August 20, 2011
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
A well organized, fun read. Lets you know what all those text messages are about. Uplifting look at some of the ways parents(grandparents too) and children communicate. You will relate to so many of the messages. Watch out where you read it, though, as you will definitely laugh out loud (LOL)! Be prepared as you may discover some of your own texts in the pages!
Would make a great gift.

5.0 out of 5 stars Fantastic early reader!, July 30, 2008
This delightful children's classic is CUTE CUTE CUTE, but not TOO cute that my six year old boy doesn't relate to its message. Benny and Penny are honest and heart-warming little mice. Geoffrey Haye's illustrating work shines in this neat, little package.

5.0 out of 5 stars GREAT NEW BOOK!, July 9, 2008
This review is from: Stinky: TOON Level 2 (Hardcover)
This new book has both me and my kids laughing at every page. The drawings are not only beautiful, but cute and witty. My son really identifies with the baseball-hat-wearing Nick and asks me, "Mom, can we go to the swamp and find Stinky?" The lovable relationship between this unexpected duo is a model friendship.

5.0 out of 5 stars A book your children will love!, July 9, 2008
For a mom of three, I understand the ins and outs of sibling rivalry-- and this wonderful toon-book puts a delightful spin on the tired subject. The story combines the everyday arguments of a brother and sister and the not-so-everyday adventures of super heros. The result is something they can really relate to and want to read over and over!

5.0 out of 5 stars A GLOWING, inventive book!, July 9, 2008
What strikes me most about this Toon title is the wonderful personality in its pages. The lively, believable characters come to life in the comic. My children love this book and it's difficult find books my children will actually ASK to read again and again. Our beautiful, orange novel is already showing some wear because of how frequently it is taken off the shelf-- I may have to order another!

5.0 out of 5 stars A joyous journey through the seasons., July 9, 2008
Silly Lilly is a wonderfully illustrated comic for young child. The springy little girl makes simple observations about the change in seasons, but the book itself is quite innovative! Young children will understand the passage of time visually AND literally. The book allows children to develop visual literacy- a vital skill for any young reader!
