5.0 out of 5 stars Off-road experience. Ideal for backpacking/traveling!, January 19, 2012
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
Just a short and coming to the point review here:

Bought this bag just before going to south america for 6 months. It was honestly one of the best things I could have taken along:::

- What I had in it: canon 60d, 18-135mm, 50mm, 2 backup batteries, charger.
- Perfect for going out sightseeing/hiking etc... Sling it around your chest. Don't have to carry your dslr around your neck (which isn't very smart in certain countries anyways).
- Fit my mp3 player and wallet as well. Sometimes in addition with small water bottle.
- Used the velcro tripod strap to fasten my jacket/sweatshirt, perfect.
- Good cushioning! This bag (with camera in it) went through a lot of abuse and kept everything inside it safe.
- Got wet a loot of times. Not soaked but proper rain wet. Nothing inside the main compartment, a little moist in the side/lens pouch. As long as you let the bag dry afterwards, no problem.

Hope I could help some of you.
Good deal, great buy.

5.0 out of 5 stars Nice Shades!!!, March 23, 2011
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
Love these shades. The rubber frame feels and looks good :)
If you're a guy, then get this size (55mm) even if you have a narrow face.
For those who are wondering, yes the glass looks glossy black when you have them on. It's not see-through like on the amazon pic.

Comes with case and cleaning cloth.

Good screen protector for your 60d
60d owners have the problem that they can't apply thick plastic shells to protect the lcd because it won't close properly.
This thin film fits perfect on the screen and closing it afterwards isn't a problem. Of course it's not really thick and hard and probably won't protect from forces greater than the occasional scratch or bump etc.. Don't get me wrong, it does protect your screen. But I assume that most 60d users flip their screen inwards anyway when not in use.
Another thing I love about this. While I applied it I managed to get 2 air bubbles trapped underneath. Already thinking I ruined it I managed to move the bigger one towards the edge (with credit card wrapped in the cloth which comes with it) The smaller one which was left annoyed me but didn't change the perception of the screen at all. The website of the manufacturer said that smaller air bubbles would disappear in a couple of days. Which actually really happened due to the construction of the material. The film sticks like glue now :)

5.0 out of 5 stars If not canon THEN this one., March 22, 2011
I'm still on the first charge of this battery, meaning that it has by no means reached its full capacity. Yet I'm pretty surprised. I already made 700+ shots with it, including a couple min. video(with the canon 60d). Now it's down to 10% which is very VERY acceptable.

The price is unbelievable. Really do not hesitate to buy this battery. Buy a couple, who knows if they'll stay this cheap.

Communicates fully with your camera. Battery charging health, % left and shots taken.

Really really good battery for the price and for being a battery!!!

5.0 out of 5 stars BUY AND HAVE FUN. PERIOD, March 21, 2011

The reviews speak for themselves.
Of course it's cheaply made. But the shots you get with this are WAY MORE WORTH than the 125 bucks you drop for this little miracle. Must have for kit-lens owners or low budget shooters and even pros.. why not?! There is NO reason NOT to buy this Lens.
Buy it. End of discussion. You'll get hooked on this lens, promise!

5.0 out of 5 stars Nice Hood for 50mm 1.8. Buy it., March 21, 2011
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
I'm using this with the canon 50mm 1.8 II. It looks great, shields the sun (what it's intended to do) and I love the soft rubber.
Pull it in and out as you please. When you have it pulled in (pulled towards the camera) you won't be able to manual focus the 50mm 1.8. Unless you have really small fingers.(the rubber overlaps the focus ring) But you pull it in when you're not using the camera anyways so...
Also this is way better when you squash your camera into your bag. My other hard hoods can't just give way.

5.0 out of 5 stars Meike Grip. Pleasantly surprised!, March 18, 2011
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
Don't waste your money on the original canon grip. Thanks also to the other ratings in helping me decide. Of course the materials of the canon original are higher quality(same as the camera) and this here is more or less normal plastic. Is that a problem? NO!

You can get 4 of these for the price of 1 canon original. So even if it brakes... big deal. Which I think won't happen anyway. Very surprised about the quality. Nice rubber grip. Attaches very secure on the 60d. I actually got this because of the battery tray function, when off the beaten track. But I think I'm gonna keep it on all the time. Shutter and wheel aren't as nice as the ones on the camera but I love the zoom and af-on buttons!
The picture of this on amazon doesn't really compliment the grip(the one with the red text). Makes it look kinda cheap.. In real life it looks and feels sturdy.

This grip is worth a lot more than the $$$ it's being sold for.

This is the Meike Grip for those who are wondering. There's nothing in the description other than "MK".

Buy this grip you won't be disappointed!

Oh yeah.. it looks great!!!

5.0 out of 5 stars Nice little netbook, March 17, 2011
Nice little netbook. Didn't even bother booting it before upgrading to 2gb ram. Took 5min.
So far so good. The pin on the ac cable is really very thin. So no wonder a lot off people broke it of.
Battery lasted about 7-9 hr's on the first charge which is pretty amazing. As soon as the battery is fully warmed up (maybe after 3-4 full charges and complete drainage) i'm hoping on 10+ hrs.

5.0 out of 5 stars 60d, 7d or d7000, March 17, 2011
For all of you who are still deciding between 60d 7d or the Nikon d7000, just take the 60d period.(Only if you don't already have tons of Nikon glass sitting around)

Why I chose 60d over 7d:
- Same sensor and processing power (7d hast dual processors but I don't need 8 fps)
- Swivel Screen. Video mode was important for me. And yes this screen feels sturdy and well built! The screen performance/resolution itself is just amazing.
- Size. I didn't like the feel of the 7d and the weight.(60d body feels sturdy and is beefy enough)
- And of course the price.
(This is not a comparison, I know the 7d is more of a pro camera than the 60d, these are just my reasons. If you're more interessted in the 7d anyways than I'd wait for the next model)

Why I chose 60d over d7000:
- Main reason was pretty much the video mode. Canon is always 2 steps ahead of nikon in this section.
For all of you thinking "d7000's 24fps @1080p will be enough" and you're planning on using video more than average. It's not! 24p will probably die out anyways... It's more of a enthusiast's thing. I still wonder why Nikon did this, the d7000 could have been a canon killer. (At least Nikon had the brains to make video compression to h.264 this time)
- Autofocus of 60d is fast, good and more than enough, period. On paper the d7000's AF system sounds great. Wow 39-Point AF System. But just look at the small print and you'll find that only 9 of these 39 are cross-type. Just like the 60d. In addition to that, in real life shooting(not on paper) the 60d's autofocus takes the lead.

For those of you who don't care about video and are deciding between the 60d and d7000 then i guess the race is still on. D7000 as a still camera ONLY might have a little lead.. if you want to be picky and look for things like viewfinder coverage 100% vs. 96% of the 60d. Dual sd slots of the d7000 etc. etc. etc.

The Kit lens isn't the greatest thing on earth but it makes decent photos. For beginners it's a good bet.

So.. hope I could help some of you out. You really won't be dissapointed with this dslr. I'm taking this body with me to tour south america, and I'm sure it won't let me down.
Stop comparing and just get this camera ; )

Edit: Oh yea, one thing I don't like about the 60d ist that for in order to shoot video you have to rotate the dial all the way to the end! Nikon's d7000 hast a switch on the back of the camera, simple as that. But you can't have everything i guess.
