5.0 out of 5 stars A Great Book for Mansfield fans alike! A+!, January 10, 2011
"Did Success Spoil Jayne Mansfield?" NO! It immortalized her forever in the hearts of millions that knew she was better than the level critics always wanted to place her at!
I have been a fan since 1987 upon discovering who this dynamic beautiful woman was and finding how adored her memory is to this day. I personally have always felt that she could have been more, much more and Jayne was talented. But even better away from her blond persona, I admire her memory because she went after a dream and it came true by her own efforts. She left this world too soon.... So many other authors, writers have given a vivid account of Jayne's reign while in Hollywood, all over the world, but Ferruccio has created a labor of love dedicated to her story unlike his peers. This book stands out with a beautiful "must-have" pictoral honoring her memory and the bio here points out some interesting facts that perhaps fans may not be aware of..which is a page-turner in a good sense! I would suggest to long-time admirers and new fans to get your copy while you can because I consider this book a rare jewel. I am very pleased to see this awesome homage come to life and "thank you", Frank for keeping her alive for fans everywhere. 5 stars !

5.0 out of 5 stars My personal favorite of all Dracula many fans devoted!, October 24, 2009

There have been so many, many versions of Dracula portrayed on film. I first saw this film when I was 10 years old (38yrs today)and it still leaves me stunned. On Halloween night, in 1981 as a kid, I sat down in a typical Halloween costume and was glued to the tube, searching for a good scare. I always looked for films in the Hammer Studios type-produced horror films portraying Dracula as with Christopher Lee. But never had I seen a full length version devoted to the entire storey. Everything from the journey to and from England and Transylvania, was incredible to watch. Even the music scared Louis Jourdan played the best of all Dracula characters ever!!! Yes Bela Lugosi and Christopher Lee are wonderful...but, Louis Jourdan really made my jaw drop! This film was shown on Channel 8 in Atlanta,GA with mostly programs dedicated to the BBC. When this film was finally placed on heart skipped because finally a well made version had come back to life for me to own. Since purchasing this film upon its release to DVD, I have kept it as a rare jewel and even purchased more copies to hand out as gifts when friends-fans alike wanted a great version of Dracula.
The whole film, coming from a horror fan here, was just beautiful and frightening all together.

Every Halloween Season, I get out this film as a tradition to get a good

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Book!, August 5, 2007

I have been a longtime fan of Jayne Mansfield and it is about time that someone has delivered a biography with a big heart put into it for its readers and fans alike. What makes this one so different from others past is the complete devotion and respect that appears so vividly. Jayne was overlooked as an actress and this kind of tribute keeps her memory alive.
No dragging out long boring facts, no focusing on unrelated material...just a nice read all around.I fell in love with her memory all over again. This one is a gem! Great Book!

Whoopi Goldberg will go down in history as the one of the most naturally talented comedy acts ever. Her original show, her debut, was fabulous and this update or return to it all is a knock-out performance. I would encourage anyone to buy this dvd set and you won't regret it.

I had never heard of the Caesars before until the fairly recent IPod commerical that was blast all over the US. Their music really seems to be inspired by the 1960's and similar to the Rolling Stones Era. However, this band could really work an audience into dancing their tail off. Give it a try!

4.0 out of 5 stars Jayne proved to her disbelievers that she could act!, February 16, 2005
Single Room Furnished was, as everyone knows, Jayne's last completed film before her untimely death. Jayne plays three characters of a struggling misfit that never was given a fair chance in life. Until the end is revealed, movie goers find that her characters were describing one lady all along. " Eileen " was a mystery to anyone that knew her and her world was in a dark place never to find happiness.

Being a " Mansfield Fan", I truly was questioning my purchase of the film because of her outstanding performances given to The Girl Can't Help It and Will Success Spoil Rock Hunter?....Now looking back over them all, it was evident that Jayne was a very

good actress and even though the film was low budget, she truly shined in this film. Give it a chance and you will see what I mean. Jayne could have been so much more and she proves it in this film.

5.0 out of 5 stars Jayne Mansfield is Immortal!, February 16, 2005
Will Success Spoil Rock Hunter?...What more can a fan say....

Jayne and Tony Randall created one hilarious duo on screen like no other pair. It even grounded their relationship, on and off screen, with mutal admiration for each other for years.

Tony playing a struggling advertising agent with the hope of scoring a huge endorsement for his company was just terrific.

Jayne's "Rita Marlowe" character, based on Marilyn Monroe during the Fifties, not only was made me a life-long Mansfield fan. You have to see this film!

Adaptation of the story The Turn of the Screw, I really fell in love with this film and was totally hooked on watching it over and over.....
Deborah Kerr's character is hired as a Governess to care for two young children. Both children were mainly in the care of their very well-to-do Uncle that is not so great at taking care of anything but his own needs but his niece and nephew are looked after well inspite of his ego. Kerr's character is interviewed by the Uncle to care for his young family and was somewhat persuaded to take the job because of his flirtations win her over.
Little did she know that upon entering the job, the new Governess was quickly hurried to a mansion in the country away from everyone and anything. The children had a house-maid that watched over them but she couldn't be a Mother like the job entitled her to be. The children lost their parents when they were very young and they both went through two prior tenants that Kerr was instantly replacing as Governess. She was told that both tenants had died but not how within year of her new job.
Kerr fell in love with the children and quickly noticed how much they both loved one another as siblings. So much love, that they took on strange and frightining personalities that began to scare the Governess. Obligated to find the answer for the behavior, Kerr nearly met her own death and termination of her job while trying to take hold of the forces that were around her and beginning to take shape physically.
I loved this film and I will not reveal the entire story but I will say that it didn't " drag along " the story. It is worth it's weight and gold!!!!

5.0 out of 5 stars Forget the Monroe Comparison, February 1, 2003
I saw this film while I was in high school and I have never forgotten it. Jayne Mansfield was beautiful and it's a shame she couldn't get past being a typical Monroe copy cat because she wasn't. She was smart, funny, and made any woman want to be like her at that time. Her presence was dynamic and Tom Ewell was hilarious as her counter-part in the film. It is by far the best film she made and what a joy to watch so many young talented rock'n'roll singers like Little Richard that exploded onto the screen with his awesome voice. If you like the 50's music and you like Jayne Mansfield then this is the film you should start with.
