I have a medium sized, 50 pound dog and Mutt Mitts are ample in size with plenty of room to spare. The bags are easy to dispense, easy to open, extremely strong, and simple to tie off.

This effort by Imogen Heap is richly textured, rhythmically compelling, harmonically divine, and invitingly melodious while remaining free of pop "hooks." Lyrics are intelligent and thought-provoking. Heap demonstrates the wide range of her musical talents as vocalist, instrumentalist, engineer, and producer. It is a brilliant album and every cut is a winner. Repeated listenings yield layers of gorgeous details you might have missed on earlier hearings.

4.0 out of 5 stars guaranteed to make you feel good, July 25, 2010

This review is from: Matchmaker Mary (DVD)
This is a marvelous little indie film that's liable to steal your heart and leave you smiling with its simple yet profound message about loving and caring for one another. The story revolves around seventh-grader Mary, three adorable animal-shelter puppies, and the six adults who come together thanks to Mary's well-meaning matchmaking efforts. The filmakers wisely eschew typical over-the-top, razzle-dazzle Hollywood production values in order to concentrate on telling a sweet story in a straightforward, uncomplicated way that most viewers will relate to personally. All the characters are well acted but ultimately this film belongs to the charming young newcomer Katherine McNamara who plays the title role of Mary. She is so natural, sincere, and irresistibly likeable in every scene in which she appears that it's easy to root for her and the success of her character's innocent schemes. Let's hope that we see more of Katherine McNamara in future films.

3.0 out of 5 stars Great cartoons but so tiny!, July 11, 2010
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
I remember seeing this book shortly after it was first published, and the cartoons were shown considerably larger than they orginally appeared in the New Yorker, with ample margins. This is literally a pocket-sized book; the cartoons are smaller than they originally appeared and the margins are so narrow that it's hard to hold it open without your thumbs blocking some of the image. Still, the cartoons are first rate, and from the standpoint of a dog and cartoon lover, better small than not at all.
