I collect Disney plushies and by far Rapunzel has been one of my favorites. Her dress is beautifully made and matches the movie well. Her whole body is soft and has wonderful details embroidered on her.

I can see little girls really loving this doll.

5.0 out of 5 stars Beautiful finish to a great story!, December 2, 2013

Seeds is a wonderful series, for any fan of fan, of romance, mythology, and fantasy. It is a wonderful combination and Persephone's character development really shines in this volume. I know some reviewers thought she was being bratty, but I felt it was Demeter. Demeter was the one who SPOILER tried to turn her back into a little girl and Persephone really turned the tide on her. Persephone to me came across as reasonable and the side characters were good and I loved her interactions with the other Gods.

The story much to my delight tied in other mythologies and such, but very lightly. I know that MM Kin has another short story series coming out that deals with other mythologies set in the Seeds Universe, so I am looking forward to that. The ending is very good and I didn't feel that nothing went astray. Persephone grows into her own woman, and is far from the victim here, or helpless. Hades is wonderful and a sexy lead for the romance and is a strong, but also gentle. The world building is so good in this series. I actually like it when we see other characters and how they fair. I know some readers didn't like taking away from Seph/Hades, but I liked it that way.

5.0 out of 5 stars A beautiful retelling, August 4, 2013

Oh, I loved this book and always had a fascination with the Hades and Persephone myth. So this book is a super treat for me.

While the last volume contained a lot of backstory and info. This one really gets to the meat of the Hades/Persephone relationship. Mainly focusing on the internal struggle of Persephone. But Hades also gets a fair share of the limelight too. New characters are introduced in the Underworld and while they don't take away the story from the main lovers, they do add their unique elements. It is also a different and unique portrayal of the Gods E.G Hecate probably being the most obvious.

The world building for the Underworld is really done well. It really puts you in the shoes of Persephone at seeing the wonder of all these new and amazing sights. I thought the portrayal of the afterlife was unique and interesting, just to see the inner workings of an afterlife and the society that could surrounded it.

I noticed some reviewers were giving this book a hard time for it's non-Hades/Persephone scenes, but I had the strong urge to defend those. I think they added another element to the story and made it more than just another silly romance novel. By showing us how the Gods and mortals are effected adds so much more tension to the plotline and how the reader will fill.

Beautiful....a well researched and crafted tale. It is very well told, and you understand the feelings and motivations of each character. The tale offers a new spin to Greek mythology, but not too different like "The Percy Jackson Series" (Which I am a fan of), but it is set in Ancient Greece.

You can see the care the author took in creating the world to be belivable as possible with the Gods and mortals.

Defintally, worth a check if you care for the myth of just romance in general

5.0 out of 5 stars She does it again, November 1, 2012
I have always been a big fan of the Iron fae books and Julia Kagawa. So I was excited to see the new book and it did not dissapoint, It centers around Ethan, the little boy from the first novel, and his struggles.

One thing about this novel is how character focused it is, but not to the point of the Iron Knight, which is in my opinion the best novel. We really get into Ethan's struggles and his lonliness. The fae world is enchanting as always and the new enemies have a mystery that you will keep you reading.

Please, if you are a fan of Kagawa's earyl works you will not be dissapointed.

5.0 out of 5 stars Awesome and exciting book, October 18, 2012

I picked up this book not knowing it was part of a larger series. After, finding it out I was worried that I would not understand the series and be confused, but I gave it a chance anyway.

First, the author does a great job introducing new readers to it and explaining the setting. Even those not familiar in Japanese history will understand this. The author is good at giving just enough information without overloading the reader with details.

The plot is fast pace, but not too fast. It gives you enough time to appreciate the setting and the characters. The choas of the setting is clear you can tell the despair of the earthquake and how people have suffered from it. It is not just a background detail, but interwoven with the novel itself. You can see and feel the pain of what has happened and the devastion. So much that you hate the Shogan on site for wasting food when the city is going hungry.

The mystery is intriguing and a definate page turner. The plot will have you wondering who did it and their is a twist at the end that you will not see coming, I guarantee.

5.0 out of 5 stars Wow, just wow, September 29, 2012
This review is from: Insurgent (Hardcover)
The dept of this novel is incredible. That is the word to describe it. It has so much action and characterization.

The writing is top notch and wonderful. The words go at a fast pace and makes a clear, but detailed picture. You always get what is going on and when. The inward struggles of Trish from her guilt over Will to her confusion to her selflessness and selfishness is written so realistically. This feels like a real teenage girl going through this.

The novel is a page turner and easy to get lost in. The world of Divergent is expanded upon so we can see all the fractions which adds so much detail to the world and fleshes it out. We can see how the world works and that no fraction is perfect, entirely bad, or entirely good.

I love detailed worlds and this series provides it. I really cared about the characters and their actions.

This is a wonderful series and it is comparable to the Hunger games.

2.0 out of 5 stars Nothing much happened, September 29, 2012
This review is from: The Selection (Hardcover)
Really, this book ended at a weird place. Nothing 'big' happened in the book and the ending of the book felt like something you would see in the middle of a novel I honestly, felt a bit cheated out of a novel.

Some call this the Hunger games meet the bachelor , but honestly it is not. The book is set in a 'dystopia' but it is not as well fleshed out as the hunger games at all. As another reviewer mentioned the eights are homeless, but they can watch T.V. The situation is not really explored, and America (How I loathe that name) Does not really suffer due to her being of a lower status. Yes, she gets picked on a bit, but it never feels like she is any different from the other girls. She is not isolated for being a lower number, and the girls (except Celeste) do not really seem to mind her.

The characters were rather typical, and had no dept. America was a placement heroine for the female audience. She had so little of her own traits that the female rewader can easily slip into her own shoes. The prince is the best developed character, but even then it does not seem like much. He is just naive and sheltered from the world. So sheltered, that he is hardly considered the world beyoned him, something someone involved in politics should not be.

Celeste is probably the worst developed character, she has no other dept than mean girlness and her threat as a villian barely got anywhere. It was like the author did not want anyone to show up the heroine or be better than her in anyway. We barely get to know the other girls at all and most are just paper doll cut outs in personality.

The 'events' of the book never felt like much because the character experinced so little of it and the threat felt far away from them. I was never worried or cared about the characters safety.
