5.0 out of 5 stars This book brought tears to my eyes!!!, January 3, 1998
Most historical fiction books are good, but this was the best one I ever read. Most Oregon Trail books tell only about the hardships of life, but this expresses that in every hard time there are joys, even when you're crossing 2,000 miles of untaimed wilderness. ACCROSS THE WIDE AND LONESOME PRAIRIE: THE OREGON TRAIL DIARY OF HATTIE CAMPBELL showed important components in a young girl's life. They are: boys, friends, jelousy, tough descisions, feelings of guilt, and much, much more. Because all that heartache and pian of traveling 2,000 miles paid off, tears poured out of me like a rainshower. All the wishes and dreams of this 13-year-old came true!!! This is one of the top five best books I have ever read. YOU MUST READ THIS BOOK!!!!!!!!

Drug Free Zone showed that kids and grown-ups should not take or sell drugs because if you take drugs, your mind will play tricks on you and if you sell drugs, you will go to jail. This was a good book. I liked the fact that cubs (Brother and Sister) didn't get hurt while doing the case, even though the detectives said it was dangerous.
