This book is about mind control & should be disturbing to the reader.
The author did mention something that was eye opening in that during the 60's that occultists tried to overturn religious & political beliefs through drugs, art, books, music, movies, & the news media. It was a time of rebelliousness against the system. America's youth were being manipulated by drugs, music, & free love. Satanists were putting their message out through drugs & subliminal messages through heavy metal music which was going global. The kids had a vacum to be filled, an emptiness that needed to be filled if not with God then Satanism. If parents were not teaching values & social norms, then they were getting them from TV. Children who had been abused, rejected by parents, & taught no moral values, who were on the fringe of society, who were angry & needed an outlet for violence turned to Satanism on their own or were enticed through drugs, alcohol, & sex. Once they got addicted to these vices & they became readily available, the kids did not get out of Satanism. The author pointed out that there was no dabbling in the occult as bondage quickly developed. The kids thought that Satanism was going to lead to power, wealth, fame, popularity, & anything else that their little hearts desired. Soon they find that they have been completely fooled. Satan promises much & never ever delivers. Instead of finding freedom. the kids are bonded by rituals & filled with threats leading to fear & loyalty. There is psychic war among believers. The cult members are forced to do things that they do not want to do for fear of hexes or curses resulting in death. Some cult members commit heinous crimes & then commit suicide or find themselves rotting in jail because of their loyalty to the dark lord.
The author does point out that there is a connection between Satanism & organized crime such as drug dealing, prostitution, sex trafficking, & pornography. Again, the children are made to suffer. Runnaways, prostitutes, & kidnap victims are finding themselves in the sex trade enduring unimaginable atrocities, emotional damage, & possible death-all because of supply & demand. Sadly, many of these crimes go unpunished because of government officials who have a finger in the pie, unscrupulous investigators providing tips to persons of interest so evidence disappears, prosecutors & judges who are up to their eyeballs in the crimes that they are prosecuting. Even the media are guilty as well when it purposely starts rumors to start a panic just to sell newspapers & magazines.
Today Satanism is recognized as a religion & is protected by the 1st amendment. With this in mind, investigators are careful to prosecute the crime rather than the religion. Investigators try to separate Satanism from the crime in order to be able to prosecute & convict a crime. The threat of diminished capacity would hamper prosecution, conviction, & sentencing.
I gave this book a rating of a 3 because the book was not an easy read & I found it very difficult to understand & absorb some of the information. Some of the book was just boring & tedious reading. The most moving chapters were on heavy metal & D&D. Heavy metal music got it origins in London & the lyrics came from a psycho ward. Heavy metal has been defined as audio porn. Kids listen an average of 5 hours a day to lyrics of an album over & over. Music has a powerful influence over youth. Here is a quote by the late Jemi Hendrix, "You can hypnitize people with music & when they get to their weakest point, you can preach into their subconscious minds what you want to say." Here is a quote from the author, "Drugs not only intensify perceptions & incoming messages to the brain, they create a general receptivity for new messages. They break down old habits of feeling & responding.... Cruel & unusual violence-the stuff that is wound into the very tapestry of heavy metal 'art'-cannot occur unless the imagination is stimulated & trained not only to perform it, but to enjoy it." The author feels that D&D leads children itno the occult/Satanism & into despair & suicide.
The kids get so addicted to D&D that they Identify with their characters & cannot separate fantasy from reality. The kids find themselves increasingly isolated with no way out other than suicide.

I am 55 years old & I have a history of lumbar sprain & rotator cuff injuries, & quite frankly I question the safety of the entire workout video. I greatly injoyed the Older & Wiser video that I recently purchased which had detailed instructions on how to do the aerobic section. Whereas in this video, she hurredly gives instructions & then she turns at an angle so I cannot see the exact angle of her arms & proper foot placement. In one cardio segment, there is a lot of twisting. They do imitations of golf swings in a sport that she has never played. There is the twist, the Charleston, & the hoola hoop. In fact, she states that she has never attempted any of the sports in which she is demonstrating movements. I have had a back injury while twisting in the past & I just do not think that I can do this segment. True, there are 3 different levels demonstrated for the viewer to follow, but I am still afraid to follow the easiest level. There is a lot of overhead reaching & balance required which I am not up to unless I balance with a chair. The DVD does say that this is gentle exercise for beginners who have been inactive, but I do not believe it. I will not be buying anymore of her DVDs. I much prefer Angie Miller's Absolute Beginners Cardio & Strength Training Workout for Seniors which is done at this level & is safe for me.

I am amazed that this DVD should be classified as suitable for someone over 50. I was careful when researching this DVD & read the many good reviews, & based my purchase solely on the many outstanding reviews & her area of expertise. I used this DVD once in its entirety & had leg soreness & shakiness FOR two weeks. This lady performed stretches that I used to do in dance class in high school. You could get Carpal Tunnel Syndrome if you are not careful to hold your weights properly. Please do not buy this DVD if you are of advanced age or approaching advanced age & are not presently in top form. There are many more suitable DVD's out there for boomers.

I hate the colors, but love the thickness, softness, & quality of these wash cloths This wash cloth feels so plush & soft against my skin. I wash these wash cloths in cold water with my white clothes & dry. I have never had a problem with them fading on anything. I wish that I had bought more at the price offered.

This review is from: Prime Time: Firm & Burn (DVD)
There is nothing wrong with this video nor in Jane Fonda's instructions; however, the problem clearly lies with me. I am 55 years old & not athletic nor able to dance so I find the moves too advanced for me & too strenuous. It is too fast paced for me & the dance steps too complex. I am just not able to keep up at this time. Nevertheless the 3 aerobic workouts are fun if I can modify the dance steps & adjust the pace. So what if I mess up as long as I move & have fun burning off the calories? While I will continue to use this DVD from time to time, there are other workouts which are better suited to me. You can go to youtube to see full segments of this video so you know what you are in for. I still have hopes that my endurance will improve for this DVD. I was the little train that thought I could, but ran out of steam.

Ms. Miller is pleasant & instructive. This is an excellent video in that It truly is fast enough & safe enough to keep your heart pumping while burning off the pounds. The warm up introduces all of the steps that are going to be implemented in the upcoming cardio aerobic segments. There are four cardio aerobic segments lasting a total of 22 minutes so you can stop & rest if need be. There are 4 people demonstrating different levels simultaneously & you are encouraged to go at your own pace. Then there is a 24 minute strength training segment followed by stretches. Weights are needed for the strength training; however, Ms. Miller states that you do not have to use the weights. Strength training & stretches are done either from a seated position or standing next to the chair. I especially like the weight training & stretches as I feel that they are safe, effective, & they feel good & more importantly because I can do them. I do not use the weights because of a health condition. I am 55 years old & I have been exercising for awhile. If you are looking for a video that is very slow, I would recommend the Older & Wiser Workout for Seniors for aerobic segments only especially if you have been inactive & have knee or back problems. If you have good endurance & like a slightly faster pace, then this is the video for you. Even though I am not athletic I can fully participate in this DVD & enjoy it as well. I own both videos mentioned & enjoy them both. I am just so glad to find exercise videos suitable for seniors.

I am 55 years old & wanted a low impact aerobic exercise with no bouncing & no quick turns that get my feet all tangled up & no worries that I might step wrong & injure a knee or throw my back out. I only rated this DVD on the exercise portion as I have some unique health problems so I do not do the strength training or the stretches. Ms. Grant does exercise every muscle with the strength training & stretches which are done from an alternating sitting & standing position. She appears to be knowledgable in all areas of exercise. Ms. Grant does the warm up which gives a careful demonstration on all the steps to be done during the aerobic portion of video. There are 3 women who demonstrate mild, moderate, & advanced moves throughout the video. The 23 minutes of aerobics are divided into three segments. The new steps are slowly introduced in the 1st & 2nd segments with all steps combined in the 3rd segment. She gives cues with plenty of notice. "If I can Que it, you can do it," states Ms. Grant. She points out that you make wise choices & determine your level of exertion. This video is for beginners. Just as the intensity builds to a faster pace & fun level, the segment is over. It is gentle on the joints. I think it is fun. You can go to youtube for a preview of this video. I do not like her other video entitled, Older & Much Wiser because I question the safety of the exercises. If this DVD is too slow, I highly recommend Angie Miller's Absolute Beginners Cardio & Strength Training. It is indeed important to get the right video for you as exercise is vital to any age person, but especially so for the seniors. I hope that I look as good as Ellie, who is in her late 70's, & has a beautiful well kept body. I want to stay mentally fit as well. I am glad that I bought this DVD.

I personally know the author, & I was so excited to read the first installment of the Raiford Chronicles. While I am not fond of romances, it was a clean book which is a real plus. The book did have a good message that true love waits, & is rewarded in the end. I particularly liked the scary parts of the book which made my heart beat faster & made me frightened of things that go bump in the night. Good work, Janet!!!!
I am looking forward to the second book which is expected to be released 2/14/14. It sounds like a real thriller as well.

I originally purchased this DVD when it came out on VHS & loved it. I purchased the DVD when the VHS wore out. I am almost 55 years old, & play this when I want something that is not as demanding as Vol.2. It is great for beginners. It is well done & easy to follow. I am not very athletic so I enjoy DVD's where the steps are not so involved. DVD is just enough to get your heart pumping & make you feel good.
