Across the Continent by the Lincoln Highway
Across the Continent by the Lincoln Highway
Price: $0.00

1.0 out of 5 stars Wasn't all about the Lincoln Highway, June 26, 2014
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
If I remember, the first six chapters were about driving around California. When it finally started east on the highway the content diminished getting to the terminus. Since I just visited the Zanesville Museum for this National Highway, I got more out of one hour there than the book.

This was one of the most well crafted tales I have read. The book unfolds from one tantalizing clue to another making it impossible to put down.

5.0 out of 5 stars An eyeopener., January 14, 2014

As always Frank Joseph shows the world, especially America, as a world never presented to us in school. The book is well written, making it easy for the reader who has not explored such concepts before. It is also amazing both for those new to the real history of the Americas and for those who have followed new discoveries over the years.

Life On Mars Season 1 [HD]
Life On Mars Season 1 [HD]

5.0 out of 5 stars Fresh, funny, and an amazing twist., January 14, 2014
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
Life on Mars was originally a British show, but this was a vast improvement. The characters were great, the story line unusual, and even through the sad parts there was always a feel-good sense. It was criticized for some of the twists including the ending, but I believe that is because the audience having been prepared through the episodes somehow were not ready for the last surprise. If I had to stay home for a rainy weekend, I'd gladly watch it over (Again).

Under The Dome, Season 1
Under The Dome, Season 1
Price: $19.99

5.0 out of 5 stars Best new show on TV, December 7, 2013
Under the Dome hits it Out of the park! Fresh new innovative idea for the post-apocalyptic genre. Great characters, devious sub-plots and presented as well as any movie.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great story!, November 14, 2012

For everyone who ever wished to become an expat and enjoy life away from the hustle and bustle this book is NOT everything you need. At the same time it is a great tale of a couple who did it. It is not grounded in the tedium of forms etc., instead it is a real life guide of how to expect the unexpected and deal with a new life. The author and her husband are can-do, roll with the punches kind of people, and have a lot of great experiences along with the not-so-great ones. This book should be read by everyone considering a new life, before getting into the usual expat guides.

5.0 out of 5 stars The Smoking Gun, April 7, 2011
This book is for everyone that either has to defend their conspiracy theories or who says "the government wouldn't do that!". Ventura says the government DID infect soldiers, prisoners and prostitutes with disease, fake reasons to start wars, steal elections, stand-down on Sept 11 and has drawn up plans to defend the government AGAINST ITS CITIZENS. That means you. Jesse shows the documents to prove it and shows you how to find them too.

5.0 out of 5 stars A Fresh outlook on a historical event we take for granted., September 12, 2009
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
There are connections to the Templars, the Vatican, the Genoese merchants and Marco Polo that the author makes that take the Columbus story from 2-D to 3-D. A must for anyone researching the man and the events leading to the European colonization of America.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great! (As expected), September 12, 2009

David Hatcher Childress never lets you down if you are in search of the history, religion and customs that never makes it into travel books. Mystical, insightful and with enough kitsch to make it a book you cannot be without.

3.0 out of 5 stars A bit too folksy, September 12, 2009

This review is from: An Autumn in Italy (Hardcover)
I enjoy older travel books with a lot of history and places that don't make it into more modern books. This was fair for my interest.
