5.0 out of 5 stars A stand out machine in more good ways than one..., July 2, 2014
This is a competitive machine with anything under $600. What makes it shine is the large screen/readouts with more data shown than most other machines at any price. Plus the direct, on the fly controls that are really nice - makes tweaking your settings as you are hunting a really fun thing. And this machine is at least as sensitive and precise as anything within $100 of its price. And it is lighter than most. Ergonomics are important. If you need a backlight, get one of these for $6 to $12: Neiko 40367 9 LED NINE Super-Bright LED Flood Light Head Lamp If its dark and you need a light, you will need it for more than just the screen on your detector for sure. With a head lamp you will have light wherever you are looking.

1.0 out of 5 stars Plastic disintegrates over time - big problem, June 3, 2014
I've had 4 of these containers for about four years. The first three years they were kept in the garage.
This past year they were stored outside in a mostly shaded side of the house. They got sun for 2 or 3 hours a day for 1/3 of the year.

Just today I noticed voids in the top of these cans - openings, cracks, and very brittle thin spots of remaining plastic. I tapped the top of another container lightly with my finger and my finger poked a hole through the thing. Wow. What a disappointment. The description says these can be used outdoors. Nothing says they should be always kept out of the sun or they will disintegrate!

When I replace these, which I need to do, it will not be with another Reliance product. A plastic container that cannot be stored outside is not worth having.

Even if these cans did not self-destruct, a more cost effective solution for a stationary SHTF scenario is one 50 or 65 gallon container for $130 to $150. To hold 65 gallons you would need 9 of these 7 gal. containers for a similar price. The convenience of refilling one container when required compared to 9 made the decision easy for me.

2.0 out of 5 stars Interface not user friendly; some features didn't work; customer service slow, May 23, 2014
I downloaded the trial version for a week. Right away had trouble with email and security code recognition - complex system. Password protection did not work. Even though I signed on and the program recognized my account, the password saving function did not recognize my email address that is required, even after I am already signed on. A waste of time and convoluted. Customer service not intuitive or easy compared to Norton. Emailed back and forth for three days without resolving problem. Phone wait time was one half hour. Someone called back 4 hours after my email request to do so. Uninstalled it today and extended my Norton subscription through Amazon.

2.0 out of 5 stars Too much promotion and clutter, May 19, 2014
This program is cluttered with promotions for add-ons and things that I don't want or wouldn't use. It seems all about selling MORE. Also, the method of seeking support is convoluted: If you don't seek support every day, it takes 10 minutes to discover how to get it. Then all it offers is an email request with a reply hours or days later.

How do you unsubscribe from the 60 day trial - when they already got your credit card? I searched for half an hour to try to find out - finally emailed them and waiting for a reply.

2.0 out of 5 stars Charges great when it works..., May 13, 2014
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
I bought this to charge my Kindle Fire HD. It worked for a couple of months. Later the mini-USB plug became loose in the Kindle and stopped charging it. My several other USB cables still work fine on the Kindle, but this one for some reason is flimsier and doesn't make good contact. I noticed the "charge" indicator on the Kindle would go on and off as I moved the cord near the attachment. I'm checking if I can return it after 3 months.

3.0 out of 5 stars The "Heartbleed" Virus Affects this phone..., April 12, 2014
From a recent news article about the "Heartbleed Bug"...

"While Google said in a blog post on April 9 that all versions of Android are immune to the flaw, it added that the “limited exception” was one version dubbed 4.1.1, which was released in 2012."

This phone uses 4.1.1. That is a problem.

5.0 out of 5 stars Too real, March 22, 2014
Way too many parallels with today's federal government and human power-hungry nature. The go-along-to-get-along mentality is also a big part of the script. Good lessons throughout.

5.0 out of 5 stars Very pleased, March 10, 2014

I got this to arrange a dozen or so garden tools that were not very accessible in my Suncast shed with the sliding top. It took roughly 4 minutes to assemble - no tools required. A well designed and helpful product.
