5.0 out of 5 stars Best of the series!, March 26, 2004
'Prayers for Rain' is by far the best in the series. All of them are excellent reads of the highest order. This book has wonderfully rounded characters that even if you are not famililar with Angie and Patrick you'll still instantly feel like you know them. The story is excellent, the characters are excellent and as always Dennis Lehane has written another wonderful book.Hopefully he'll write another edition in the series but for now I'd recommend picking up Shutter Island or Mystic River.

5.0 out of 5 stars Wonderful! Great soundtrack., February 15, 2004
This album has the best score I've heard in a long time. The music composed my Howard Shore beautifully captures the majic of The Lord of the Rings. Both the extreme sadness, desperation and triumph that make up the the Return of the King. A great work of art and well worth the money.

5.0 out of 5 stars Hard read..but worth it., February 15, 2004
The first five volumes of the history of Middle Earth are great books and a must for Tolkien fans.If you are interested in reading these, I would suggest reading the Silmarillion first. If you thought that was too confusing don't bother picking these up.My favorite is the third book: The lays of Berliand. All of them are good books and I recommend reading them.(If you've read the Silmarillion,The Hobbit, and The Lord of the Rings)
