Windy City Hunter (A Susan Hunter Mystery Book 5)

4.0 out of 5 stars They keep getting better!, January 3, 2013
Ms Cochere has done it again! This, the fifth Susan Hunter book, is highly recommended! If suspenseful, fast paced, humorous and funtastic thrillers are your thing, this book won't disappoint.
These characters are really growing on me - and growing deeper themselves - as I found myself getting more entranced by what they say, do and wear.
Will Susan's unborn baby survive the trials and tribulations of a murder mystery? Will Darby win the cooking contest, let alone get out of jail? And just who was the guy in the gorilla mask?
... Read Windy City Hunter and get the lowdown on what's getting blown around in the Windy City!

4.0 out of 5 stars Worth the hunt!, December 10, 2012
Not being a "chick" I had not read any "chick lit" before Sunshine Hunter, but if it's all as good as this, I'll be reading tonnes more! I found the story both fun and funny, thrilling and exciting. The characters were instantly believable, rounded, and enjoyable. The book was easy to read and worth reading. Fun, fun, fun!
As an added bonus, I am now part of a group that understands snickerdoodles, reuben sandwiches, and the pleasures of a good espadrille.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great snakes!, August 21, 2011
I loved this overview of Tintin's adventures. Having read each book ten to twenty times, it was nice to revisit them again in a new way. The author does a great job of putting each book in both a series and historical context and includes many interesting facts about their creation. My only complaint is that some reviews are too harsh, but I guess you can't give every Tintin 5/5. Lots of fun.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great and important history, April 13, 2011
This review is from: Tom Wills (Kindle Edition)
Every Australian should know this story about our first great sportsman and a founder of Australian football. Why is this not taught in schools? Many intersting facts about life in Australia 150 years ago and the evolution of 'our game' and cricket. Recommended though a tighter writing style would have helped.
