This review is from: The New Policeman (Paperback)
Why do goblins steal human babies? Just read the book to find out, along with stopping and rushing time. Kate Thompson uses old Celtic legends and fairytales to tell a modern story.

5.0 out of 5 stars Religion class supplement, November 10, 2007
The Old Testament: ten plays for readers theater is exactly what I was looking for to help bring the Old Testament alive for my middle schoolers. Being able to move around and have text, coupled with the characterization, brings Bible stories to life for youngsters who may think they're "too cool" to take religion seriously. I'd buy more books like this.

5.0 out of 5 stars Baby doll clothes patterns, August 23, 2007
Joan Hinds has now done for 15" baby dolls what she did for 18" dolls. This book has many possibilities for baby doll wardrobes. Patterns are full sized and sewing directions are clear. I'm enjoying using this book.

5.0 out of 5 stars Fairy tale baby quilt, August 23, 2007
Clear directions and easy to use full size patterns make this an easy quilt to construct. Applique patterns could be re-arranged to make several versions of this quilt from the same pattern.

5.0 out of 5 stars Valerie and Walter's best books for children, September 10, 2005
Having attended one of Walter's workshops on book selection, I look forward to his updated books. He is, as he says, opinionated, but he backs up his opinions with solid expertise. Unlike other "guide" books, his is a lot of fun to read, which in this over-information age, is an important consideration when choosing reference books.
