5.0 out of 5 stars Miracle Powder, March 20, 2014
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
One reviewer described this product as "miracle powder," and I can say that is a correct assessment. My apple tree was dying from an infestation of fungus gnats. I was killing hundreds by hand a day and getting nowhere. After using the powder all the bugs were dead within a week. The tree began growing again shortly thereafter.

Just make sure to open the bag carefully, or the fine powder will go everywhere.

3.0 out of 5 stars Not Bad Not Great, March 20, 2013

It's very difficult to find blue sunglasses, so I like the fact that I could find a pair for a reasonable price. That said, they're an odd shape, seem to fit kind of high - covering my eyebrows entirely while leaving a gap just below my eyes, and are not made of most durable material in the world. If you're into blue glasses then get a pair, but have a spare handy.

4.0 out of 5 stars It Works, March 20, 2013
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
I like it so far. It doesn't get as dirty as my old monitor did, but it is ridiculously top heavy and has a tendency to shake side to side with the slightest movement anywhere in the room. I had to cut two foam blocks to stick under this monitor to keep it from shaking.

LCD monitors don't give true colors and hurt my eyes but they're very cheap to manufacture so it is extremely difficult to find any CRT monitor these days. This is the best out of the two or three available models I could find. I hope Compaq is still making these in seven years when I will need to buy a new one.

5.0 out of 5 stars Wonderful, March 20, 2013
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
They don't sell this on the East coast anymore for some reason, so if I have to buy the greatest cereal from my childhood online. Think Cap'n Crunch without all the sugar, so it actually tastes real. It's a pretty small box, the one flaw, but other than that King Vitaman is fantastic.

4.0 out of 5 stars 100 Years And There's Still Nothing Better, March 20, 2013
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
Works great. Great form of exercise too. If you have a small lawn and don't want to waste a ton of money on a loud, gas guzzling mower or on those fancy lawncare companies that send teams of men out to mow your lawn for $40 only to have to come back when it regrows in a week, this is a wonderful solution to your problem. It does not cut tall grass or weeds, it bends them over, so don't take a week off and let it grow too long or you'll have to do it by hand, and make sure you lubricate it regularly. With proper care and diligence you can have a well maintained lawn, save a load of money, and contribute less to air and noise pollution at the same time.

4.0 out of 5 stars It (May) Work Wonderfully, March 20, 2013
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
It's impossible to tell with pain and things like that, but I'm pretty sure this product works as described. My sciatica started 18 January, this year, and began to intensify by 5 February. It got to the point where I was getting two or three hours of sleep a night, as I only felt relief while walking around. The pain was so bad that if I could I would have cut off my own leg just to make it stop. I got this product on 19 February and after about a week I was able to sit down for extended periods with only mild pain. By day eleven the pain was almost completely gone. I have discontinued use of this product, still having some occasional, very mild discomfort.

There's no way to know for certain whether the problem resolved itself as mysteriously as it appeared, but I'm pretty convinced that this product helped a great deal. I do recommend it.

4.0 out of 5 stars Works As Advertised, May 21, 2012
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
The directions for this product consist of a little diagram that does not explain very much, so allow me. The power cable has three connections, one goes to the computer power supply, one goes to the hard drive you are wanting to plug in, and the small one goes to power this unit itself. It does not work unless it itself is plugged in to the power supply. This took me about an hour to figure out.

While it does work as an adapter for IDE/PATA to SATA (I have not tried it the other way around), the power cable itself only connects to a 4-pin Molex power supply, which does not exist in SATA only computers. To connect to a SATA power supply you will need a separate adapter, such as this one -> Sata to LP4 15 Pin Power Adapter. With this you should be able to make a perfect conection between your IDE/PATA hard drive and your SATA computer.

I give this product four stars because the directions are vague and it only comes with one type of power cord.

That said, some aspects of Windows 7 seem incompatable with my XP hard drive (from an XP computer that no longer works, the reason I purchsed this product) so my files are still inaccessable, even though this unit works exactly as it is supposed to.

4.0 out of 5 stars The Signature of God, August 12, 2006
The most irrational of irrational numbers (phi) can be found throughout the universe. Everything from the spirals of galaxies to the proportions of the human body and even the coils of DNA is proportioned on the Golden Ratio. Surely the ubiquitous nature of such a seemingly odd number is a sign of one of the preferences of the creative unfolding of the universe; none other than the signature of God, here for our amusement and assurance.

4.0 out of 5 stars 350 Year Old Detective Story, August 12, 2006
In 1637 Pierre de Fermat scribbled some notes in a margin of a mathematics book and the world has been talking about it ever since. Was his "last theorem" ever real or did he simply invent a story to boost his ego? Perhaps we will never know, but three centuries later Prof. Andrew Wiles did provide the solution to the greatest mathematical conundrum in history (or at least the most famous). Some people argue that Prof. Wiles used a mathematics unknown to Fermat, but if the Egyptians could build the pyramids in a mere 23 years (a feat that would take us with all our modern technology more than a century, if the money and determination could even be acquired) perhaps the knowledge of Fermat was lost over the centuries as well. We are certainly rediscovering things ancient people knew, so who is to say Fermat did not have a solution?

Though slow at times this is a fantastic detective story for anyone who loves mathematics (don't worry, you don't have to be a genius to enjoy it). A wonderful afternoon read.

5.0 out of 5 stars Needless Hunger, July 31, 2006
From The Urban Mystic:

The country of Bangladesh sits on the Ganges-Brahmaputra River Delta and contains perhaps the most fertile land in the world. Though fully capable of feeding its own population hundreds of times over most of the people go hungry and own no property. They live as virtual slave labourers to a handful of super wealthy industry magnates. Why are so many people starving to death in this paradise on Earth? Read this book to find out. It will change the way you look at the world.
