4.0 out of 5 stars A great, enjoyable movie..., November 28, 2001
This review is from: Bravo Two Zero (DVD)
I liked this movie a lot.... I have read the book and have heard the many stories, but till recently never saw the movie. This movie is great and gives you a more in-depth insight to the world's finest (one of) crack regiment in the world.
What makes me more than just a movie, is that fact that it is based on a true story of "bravo two zero" and shows both the heroism and courage these operators faced. Also it gives you another side and aspect of war, being a POW.
I also saw "the one that got away" but i didn't really care for it much because it is written by another fellow and seems to be one-sided towards his views and actions. I felt in ways he disrespected his fellow mates and made himself to be glorified.
In any case I found "Bravo Two Zero" to be really enjoyable, and gave you great visuals to go along with the famous operation. It was nice to see how SAS operators play out their tasks and how they react to certain situations.
As for realism its pretty close in many aspects because Andy McNabb, was actually a part of Bravo Two Zero in Iraq and was the lead technical contact and helped with the direction of the movie. And if you know anything about McNabb, well his is no joke! I highly recommend this movie to other special operations nuts... beats most that is in the market....

5.0 out of 5 stars Generation X'ers get ready for a great time!, June 15, 2000
This review is from: G.I. Joe: The Movie (DVD)
whats better than the famous words "yo joe" yeah sure this is not as good artistically as animation today, but for its time this was great! on top of that whats better than a bunch of joes battling cobra, the subject matter alone makes this movie worth while. when i saw this coming out it brings the great memories of the "cobra-la" and serpentor battling it out with the joes. this is surely a hit and a grat collector's piece for those of you who loved all the joes from snake eyes to tunnel rat and beyond. finally we can all stop looking... for a betamax player to play your old gijoe tape on and can now watch it on dvd... whata great movie.

5.0 out of 5 stars simply great, June 15, 2000
this things is nice especially at this price its definetly one of my favorite star wars related items. i must say i did not enjoy the movie as much as i would have liked, however i do love star wars in general. this collection of pre-production sketches are really nice to look at. they all come printed on high quality stock and coated with a nice glossy finish. they people who put this toegther really took time rather than just throwing a episode one logo on it like most companies did. this is truly a great gift for the star wars enthusiast. lastly the packaging is excellent and comes in a nice metal tin which completes the entire package and makes this a great collectible.

4.0 out of 5 stars the first rule of fight club is talk about fight club, June 15, 2000
this movie is great! for once we see a great movie that summarizes heindigger's philosophy concerning technology. confused? in any case this is a great movie that is both funny and enlightening. if u enjoy watching a good "down to earth" movie then this is the movie for you. i think norton did a great job, as well a pitt. the movie is a bit graphic but its necessary to show the true impact of what is being told. and with 2 dvd's and at this price this is definetly a win win situation fun and packed with extra bonus material.

5.0 out of 5 stars WOW.. This is really worth the price. A great collectible!, September 28, 1999
I really was not sure what this was all about but I ama big fan of Star Wars and also deeply involved with the arts. Not the art of Star Wars but I do a lot of illustrative work as well as graphic design and well its always nice to see a little glimpse back into the design phase. Pretty much where all the story begins. This piece offers you a quick glimpse thru nice drawings of what the movie was trying to capture. And well the tin the drawings come in is impressive... I was very satisfied. For the price at Amazon it is a good buy...
