5.0 out of 5 stars Perfect Eeveelution Hoodie!, September 16, 2014
This is a wonderful hoodie, especially for the price. The material is THICK and very, very soft. It has a nice large, chunky zipper on the front that is a breeze to zip and unzip. The ears stand out on the head but not straight up, they are not floppy either, just perfectly in between. The tail is a nice touch but is not so long that it gets in the way. I think this hoodie is just about perfect. I love that it's a different Pokemon than the usual Pikachu themed clothes. Pikachu is adorable, but we already have a Pika hoodie.

SIZING NOTE: These character hoodies are usually junior sized. This is adult women sized... I bought it for my daughter, who usually wears a junior's extra large, but it also fits me, and I'm a good deal bigger, both around and taller than she is (I'm 5' 4" and 200 lbs and it fits me perfectly). If you want something that's more fitted, I'd suggest sizing down a size from what you normally wear. If you need some extra room for layering and don't mind a loose fit, then order your normal size.

I hope this helps...
It's also unisex. There's nothing "girlie" about this, nor is it "boyish" either. Perfect for any Pokemon fan!

5.0 out of 5 stars Absolutely Adorable AND High Quality, August 10, 2014
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
There are so many cute characters on this! I especially love the fact that it has so many and that they are "girl friendly". Shinx, Pachirisu, Combee, Piplup, Happiny... SO much adorableness! Just note that this is a kid's size sleeping bag. I bought it for my daughter for her 8th birthday and she was absolutely thrilled and takes it with her everywhere she goes and fits into it comfortably (she's about 51" tall). The graphics are BIG and wrap around the sleeping bag. The zipper is nice and sturdy and she has no problems with it. A must have for any Pokemon fan.

5.0 out of 5 stars A Fantastic Peek Into the Glory Days of Sega's Arcade Games, August 10, 2014
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This is a wonderful title that is filled to the brim with information on some of Sega's greatest triumphs at the arcade. Each franchise covered is followed to even the rarest obscurity. It is wonderful reading about classic games such as Outrun and all of it's sequels that never made it to American shores. The side by side screen shot comparisons are golden, giving a glimpse at how the various machines tried replicating that arcade magic in varying degrees of success (sometimes outright failures).

If you have ever enjoyed an article on Hardcore Gaming 101's website, then this is an instant buy. If you have ever loved arcade games, you need this in your collection. I only wish it were longer...

4.0 out of 5 stars Surprise! Its Toddler Size!, July 27, 2014
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This is not a full size backpack. It is very small and could hold perhaps a single textbook. I paid the ridiculous price because my daughter is an exceptional student and this backpack was the only thing she really wanted. Her favorite color is pink and she loves Sylveon/Nymphia so this seemed perfect. We were very disappointed when it showed up and it was almost too small to strap on her back (she is 10). She is going to keep it as a sleepover/over night bag, but its still disappointing. The quality is average, its all screen printing and what you see is what you get. In the US it would be on par with the $10 toddler backpacks. It is adorable, and having all the eeveelutions on one product is too cute, just be known that it will not function as a school backpack, but is fine as a unique over night bag, purse or Pokemon card storage carrier. I wouldnt use it for something that requires durability because the light pastel fabric is likely to pick up dirt easily.

3.0 out of 5 stars Great for Party Favors, July 12, 2014
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
These are really low quality toys. They are worse quality than what you would find in a quarter capsule vending machine. Most figures are painted wrong or really sloppily, and are all really tiny. I already knew this before ordering them, as they are intended to be favors at a child's Pokemon themed party, but they were somehow even worse than expected. My kids were delighted with the figures though, and have had a good time sorting through them and playing with them before the party. We received only two of the Pokemon that are shown in the picture, Cascoon and Beautifly, so don't expect to get the ones shown. We were disappointed there was no Rayquaza or Blaziken. We did get a weird assortment including Squirtle, Charizard, Ho-Oh, Dugtrio, Mew, Cubchoo and others. We got about half Pokemon we liked and half we didn't. It's a shame you can't select your assortment, and they really are overpriced. These are the kind of figures you would expect to pay $2-$3 in a bag. They were almost $9, which seems criminal. I'm on the fence about the purchase. I feel a little like I was ripped off, judging by the poor quality of the figures, but I know the kids will be excited to get their own Pokemon figures. If you are looking for party favors, this is the way to go, if you are looking for more lasting toys, actual Jakks Pacific or Takaratomy figures are worth the price. At around $8 a figure, they are too expensive for most birthday party favors, so this fit the bill.

American Coasters: A Thrilling Photographic Ride
American Coasters: A Thrilling Photographic Ride

Price: $25.82

4.0 out of 5 stars Great pictures, but lacking information, June 29, 2014
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This "photographic ride" zeroes in on a handful of parks, mostly on the East Coast and in Florida. There are so many truly great coasters missing, while other photos take up space with cloned coasters like the ancient SLC, Mind Eraser (which is on the cover for whatever reason, strange choice). The photos are mostly gorgeous and there are some truly stunning shots in the book. However, there's not enough text, making it more of a coffee table look book than a volume about the history of these rides. There are some technical specs and a few blurbs for the different parks featured (such as Kennywood, Six Flags New England, etc) but no real meat in the reading department. With so few books in publication about coasters, this one is a nice heavy volume with glossy pages, and is perfect as a display book on a side table, which is where my copy is kept.

The Legend of Zelda: Hyrule Historia
The Legend of Zelda: Hyrule Historia

3.0 out of 5 stars Skyward Sword Historia, June 21, 2014
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
I was expecting a book that went deep into the history of Zelda. Instead, the majority of the book is about the latest (at the time of this writing) Zelda game, called "Skyward Sword". It is full of information about that. The other titles get a few scant pages and pictures, disappointingly so. More information on the NES Zelda games and a "Link the Past" would have been perfect. I was hoping to have a wealth of Zelda information from the franchise's broad array of games, and instead got this... It's beautifully packaged, gorgeous hard bound cover and glossy pages... just not the content I was hoping for.

5.0 out of 5 stars NOT black, it is a dark RED but BEAUTIFUL, June 21, 2014
This wig is gorgeous and amazing. However, it is not anything near "black" as the description states. It is a very dark red, a red that is almost black. On closer inspection it is absolutely red. The green is a beautiful color, down to a vibrant turquoise in some places. The wig is soft and feels pretty natural. If only my real hair was this lustrous and bouncy! I have seen wigs that cost three times this in costume shops that were not even close to this quality. It puts those cheap looking things to shame. It came with a wig cap and netting to keep the wig from becoming too wild. My real hair is perfectly fine, I wanted to try something with a little color in it, without actually dying my own hair and this fits the bill. You will be surprised, amazed and overjoyed at such a quality wig at such a low price.

4.0 out of 5 stars Wonderful characterizations, June 21, 2014
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
The story here is quite frankly, secondary. What a curious thing to say about a book, but it certainly fits with "Rarity and the Curious Case of Charity". Rarity is the fashionista pony, she's an Equestria famous dress designer, and an eager young student is sent to her Ponyville residence for her to apprentice in the ways of making Rarity quality dresses. The young starry eyed pony gets caught up in hero worship and takes her idolizing to damaging levels, culminating in a rather typical... ahh... "fashion". It's pretty standard stuff. Animate it and slap a few songs in there, and you would have a decent filler episode of "Friendship is Magic".

HOWEVER the story is not the reason to read this. If you love the ponies, and want more time with them while waiting for the next season of MLP:FiM to air, then this book will do the trick, at least for the span of nearly an hour. The characters are written brilliantly. Every mane toss, conversation, and situation sticks completely true to the characters. Their banter is so on point that you can visualize them talking and hear their voices in your head. There is no wonder why the kids enjoy this pony book series so much, reading one is like hanging out with your favorite four hoofed friends for awhile, and that's a very cool thing.

The story is average, but has a good message, and the book is full of that ponyfied flavor. Little fans of MLP will enjoy this, and you can feel about them reading it. Older MLP fans might want to take a look too, it's perfect light fluff to read while in a waiting room. Adults do a lot of waiting, why not wait with some pony friends?

Judy Moody
Judy Moody
Price: $4.46

1.0 out of 5 stars Very little 'story' and unlikeable characters, June 21, 2014
This review is from: Judy Moody (Kindle Edition)
My 9 year old daughter reads A LOT and from a wide series of books. She asked for a few Judy Moody books after some friends at school and her teacher recommended them. I bought her the first three (because she devours books so quickly) and was perplexed when she read a little of it and set it down, never to go back to the first volume. She was apathetic about it, and completely uninterested in finishing it. I asked her what the problem was and she told me...

The story is boring and I don't like any of the characters, but it is okay if there's nothing else to read.

Which just about sums it up. I sat down and read through it (a waste of 30 good minutes), and my daughter was completely right. The book is shallow and boring. The only real "story" to it, is Judy Moody is a terribly selfish child that constantly complains, and she has to make an "About me" poster for introduction to entering 3rd grade. They make her "quirky" which adds nothing to her personality other than making her even stranger. She collects Band-Aids, is not afraid to out right lie to get her way (she lied about collecting the little pizza "tables" that come with delivery pizza just so she could have it), she tortures her brother - who is depicted as a very sweet klutz, and is sour, surly and generally rude and disrespectful to everyone, including her teacher. What is there about this girl to like? She gets jealous at her brother for going on a field trip, she makes fun of a kid who tries very hard to be her friend and invites her to his birthday party, she sneaks around and does things she is not supposed to do...

That about sums up the book. It is a slice in the life of Judy Moody, and who would want to read that? She's an unpleasant girl to read about and I certainly wouldn't want my children hanging out with her if she was real. A flat, humorless read, with uninteresting characters.
