5.0 out of 5 stars Creepy and frightening, what else do you want?, May 26, 2014

I purchased Suffer the Children after reading Mr. DiLouie's prior works, with pretty high expectations. I was not disappointed. The introduction of an apocalyptic occurrence, which only effected children, had the creepy factor at a high level. As the story went on, focusing on a small town in Michigan, and a handful of characters, the fright factor kicked into full throttle. The plot was solid as a rock, the characters were likeable (or unlikeable in some cases....), and the ending left me fully satisfied (although I could see some room here for a sequel....hmmmmmmm.)

Another home run for Mr. DiLouie, as usual.

5.0 out of 5 stars Serious reading for serious apocalypse fans, November 27, 2013

Another bullseye effort from Mr. DiLouie, a piece of work that should not be missed. In a similar vein to his prior works, I was unable to put it down, this is stamped with DiLouie's signature AWESOMENESS. The character development, the twists, the premise of the disease, and the action are indeed worthy of two-thumbs up. Carry on Muldoon! Looking forward to the next installments. Keep up the outstanding work, Craig---

Outstanding book, per the norm now for Mr. Tufo. Great new characters are developing, new arch-enemies, but the same steadfast main man, of course...who could ask for more?

5.0 out of 5 stars Fantastic Follow-Up to The Infection...., April 16, 2012
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
After reading Tooth and Nail and The Infection some months ago, I was pumped for the release of The Killing Floor, the sequel to The Infection. While waiting, I actually read each of the aforementioned books again, something that I have never done previously, in order to whet my appetite for The Killing Floor.

I downloaded the new book unto my kindle, and clouds parted while angels sang. I devoured The Killing Floor in just a couple of days, and felt it was as good, if not better, than The Infection (and The Infection rocked). Great new characters, familiar old friends, some flashbacks, and of course, brutal action throughout, made this book 5 stars for me. And a great ending, although the window remains open for potential sequels-----I'm waiting patiently---the earth abides.....

Great writing, Mr. DiLouie.

If you like zombies, violence, gore, memorable characters, fast action, and humor, well this is the book for you. Mr. Tufo has done it again with ZF3, as he did with ZF's 1 and 2. Keep up the fine work---looking forward to ZF4 and perhaps more, if it's in the cards...<evil laugh and very big grin>
