5.0 out of 5 stars Gigantic wine glass!, June 5, 2013
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
If you want a HUGE wine glass, this is the one you want. It will hold approx. 900 gallons of wine at one time. The wine glass is very sturdy and the stem is thick.

After seeing some massive wine glasses on TV shows, my girlfriend said, "I need one of those!!!" So.... I decided to surprise her.

I shopped around trying to find something ridiculously large and this one stood out because it was HUGE and it was reasonably priced. I purchased it on Monday the 3rd, and it arrived Wednesday the 5th. Very fast shipping. The wine glass comes wrapped with a decent amount of bubble wrap, inside a Styrofoam-lined cardboard box. That cardboard box came inside the standard amazon.com cardboard box with extra packing paper around it. If all of these glasses are shipped this way, you should not worry about it arriving broken.

The actual dimensions of the wine glass are:
Total height= 19.5"
Height of the bowl= 12"
Widest diameter of the bowl= 8"
Bowl circumference= 25"
Bowl mouth diameter= 5.5"
Stem height= 7"
Base diameter= 6.25"

This glass is a great buy. I should have purchased a couple of these!

5.0 out of 5 stars People....people!!, June 24, 2012
For those saying the movie is inaccurate with 'hard a starboard' and they turned the wheel to left (port)- that is CORRECT! Ships used what's called 'Tiller commands'. To turn left, you move the tiller handle the opposite direction! Think of a small outboard engine on a little boat. To go one way, you move the tiller handle the opposite way.

People have no clue what they are talking about and then bash the movie. Sure, there are inaccuracies in any movie but it was really well done and James Cameron knows what he is talking about when it comes to the Titanic.

This movie gets 5 stars for sure-
