Why should you watch HAYWIRE then? Because it's a film by Stephen Soderbergh, a filmmaker so utterly devoted to his craft, he's threatened to retire from it (yeah, one of "those" auteurs). Sarcasm aside, Soderbergh knows what he wants, and he almost always delivers. HAYWIRE isn't intended to be anything original; and it's not. It's a straight-up action film, full of those twists and fight scenes and menacing baddies that all action films feature, but filtered through Soderbergh's well-honed lens. The cinematography is perfect; the fight-scenes are flawlessly choreographed, with no weird cuts or music to take away from the brutal punches and shattering glass. These are real people doing real stunts. Yep, just like it used to be.
Simply Sublime.

4.0 out of 5 stars Enjoyed every word, August 24, 2012
It reels you in emotionally and leaves you with gut wrenching feelings of sorrow and empathy for the main character, Patrick, and everything he's endured in his life. Don't be surprised if you want to hug the stuffing out of him and try to soothe some of the hurt and loneliness that surrounds him! The author did a magnificent job of making me care about him as a character, and part of that had to do with how realistically he portrayed all of the issues going on with Patrick.I actually had a niggling early on about the direction of the story, and it turns out that I was correct; however, the author still had me guessing the entire time and did a good job of throwing me off the trail more than once. Despite figuring it out, it didn't make the climax any less impactful - merely gave me a sense of satisfaction as all the puzzle pieces came together! This was one spectacularly crafted plot with lots of mystery and the requisite twists and turns. I thoroughly appreciate the thought and research that obviously went into coming up with something so complex, and how it was perfectly laid out to slowly unravel the mystery.

Give this one a chance, you will like it better than the first film which was a bad remake. I picked it up on blu ray and it looks great. Good Storyline, Good Action. Everything better in every way.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great little time filler, May 8, 2012
I enjoyed In Time, it was an entertaining movie. At times the phasing is terrible and the movie feel a bit cluttered, it sort of make the story needlessly complicated which just leaves the movie feel rushed, but all in all this is a good movie. Now In Time will never be a cult classic, but if you like science fiction, and especially dystopian future stories then this flick might be worth checking out.
