4.0 out of 5 stars Devil in the details., March 23, 2015
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This is a pretty big mesh bag that looks exactly as pictured.

It can easily hold a pair of training flippers, a pull buoy, goggles, kickboard, hand paddles and towel, plus other swimming gear.
The material is breathable, so your gear can dry off in the bag, and so far has survived storage in the car trunk.

The one problem is that the small pocket for keys and other small items is not waterproof, as even though it is solid at the front, the back is the mesh material of the actual bag.

With this small correction, it would be a five star swimming gear bag.

3.0 out of 5 stars Fast and furious, but needs frequent re-booting, March 23, 2015
Vine Customer Review of Free Product (What's this?)
This router is replacing a Linksys EA2300 for use on a home network.

Pros:

1. Quick set up if using the supplied CD.
However, if you are using this to replace another router, the CD setup could overwrite the
previous wi-fi settings on the computer you are using to set it up. Just reset the wireless password on your computer if you want to re-use your old settings.

2. Good range, can get the signal up to at least 200 feet, but with poor
to "meh" strength at this distance. Closer to the router, the strength is
excellent. We live in a concrete, two-storied house and get excellent to
very good signal strength in every room.

3. Very good speed given the ridiculously pitiful bandwidth available where we live.
However, the in-house gaming expert has reported that the download speed on his PS4 is
slower than when we were using the older router.

4. A cool feature is that you can attach an external storage drive to the
router using the USB port, and this can then be accessed by other
users/devices on the network.

Cons:

1. The biggest con is that it is very unstable. The "limited signal strength" notification pops up at the worst times - like during an uploading process, and it requires re-booting at least once every other day, even with the firmware upgrade. Hopefully Linksys will release another firmware upgrade in the near future that will improve the stability.

2. IPhone 4S users may have a problem connecting to this router. The iPhone 5 and 6 don't seem to have this problem.

3. Takes up a good chunk of real estate on the desk.

Even with the good range and fast internet speeds, I gave this router 3-stars due to the frequent need to re-boot it.

5.0 out of 5 stars The heat doesn't bother me anymore, September 6, 2014
My face glows red in the Disney theme park
Not a shade tree to be seen
A place for kids of every age
But I'm no longer a teen
The sun is burning like an open flame outside
Shouldn't go out there, someone could get fried

Don't want to leave, would like to stay
But the darn sun is just too much today
Hot flash, skin peels, don't let it show
But now I know!

Now I know, now I know
No missing out anymore
Now I know, now I know
Shake and wipe, and out the door

Here I stand
Out in Disneyland
Let the sun shine on
The heat doesn't bother me anymore!

(Based of course on the mega song by Idina Menzel)

This Frosty Towel saved my bacon (and me becoming bacon) during long days at the various Disney Orlando theme parks. I am not good with heat, and have sensitive skin that breaks out easily, and I found this to be the ideal product for cooling down without having any adverse effects.

I was really suffering at Animal Kingdom when I saw the vendor selling these. (The price wasn't much different to these from Amazon) The immediate relief allowed me to remain until closing time and have a wonderful day. The same towel lasted for the entire trip with periodic dunks in cold water.

Now, I keep one with me whenever I have to go somewhere where sun and/or heat will be a factor, and I don't know how I ever survived without it before.

Highly recommended.

5.0 out of 5 stars Blood, Money and Natural Gas, September 2, 2014
Beginning with the meticulously planned execution of a wealthy jet-skiing jet-setter, this impressive first novel powers along at similar breakneck speed, gathering momentum all the way to almost the final chapter - said final chapter providing the perfect conclusion to this remarkable story of greed and revenge.

The author captures the reader's attention right away, and then establishes his realistic characters, weaving seemingly unrelated story lines into a cohesive multi-genre thriller. Set for the most part in the Republic of Turkmenistan in Central Asia, a hired killer begins eliminating the relatives of a powerful businessman. Head honcho of a mega-empire, the businessman has plans to construct a natural gas pipeline leading to Pakistan and India, and is in talks with an American company to make it happen.

With the realization that someone is eliminating his nearest and dearest, and with money not being in short supply, he hires his own private "consultant" to investigate on his behalf outside of regular channels, and fortuitously, the consultant, an ex-Green Beret, happens to have the necessary skills for the job.

Just when you think you know where the story is going, along comes a chilling twist with the introduction of a power-play, the repercussions of which could cause deadly serious international conflict.

Recommended reading for fans of thrillers with twists, action-junkies, and anyone who still appreciates a good book.

If you need something to secure your flash to a light stand, and also to mount an umbrella, and you need it to last for more than one photo shoot, it may be better to go for another brand.

This one doesn't have the smoothest of actions, and the hard plastic and metal construction doesn't work that well. On the very first set-up it started falling apart, causing my SB-900 to take a nasty tumble. There's a small spring bouncing around somewhere on the floor, and I have no idea where it came from.

Better to spend more money than be flash foolish.

5.0 out of 5 stars Nothing fishy here, November 17, 2013
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This is an awesome little toy for your iPhone 5, but obviously with limitations - you can't expect Carl Zeiss technology for this price after all.

You get a fisheye lens, a wide angle lens and a macro lens in a device the width of your phone. To access the macro lens you need to unscrew the wide angle lens. It comes with lens caps and a drawstring carrying case.

Limitations include:
1. You can't have a protective screen on your phone as the fit is THAT snug
2. No flash when using this attachment
3. You need to take it off when calls come in
4. You need a very steady hand to get crisp macro images, and you need to be thiscloseupto your subject
5. The lens caps have a mind of their own and disappear into thin air.

Otherwise, it's portable and quick to attach, and comes in very handy when taking architectural photos or landscapes to send to friends or post online. It's also pretty good with the obligatory photos of what you're having for lunch or dinner. Gimmicky gadget - yes, but also pretty cool.

5.0 out of 5 stars Good clean fun, November 17, 2013
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This is a full-colour illustrated children's story about a cygnet (young swan) who definitely wasn't a prince about hygiene and cleanliness. When it reached the point where his only playmate lived in a sty, his distraught parents sought out professional help, and of course received a response in rhyme, requiring interpretation.

Definitely fun to read out loud, this story provides encouragement for parents faced with sticky situations at home.

5.0 out of 5 stars Heroes among us, November 17, 2013
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This is a full colour illustrated children's story, a part of a series about a young goat named Billy and his adventures. In this episode, he gets the opportunity to spend a day visiting a fire station.

Unlike the other stories in the series, he doesn't get into any mischief this time, but finds his fear factor. Fortunately for him there's a hero around to provide back-up and provide the day's lesson without any monkeying or clowning around.

The best in the series so far. Easy fun reading with a moral attached.

4.0 out of 5 stars Working with kids, November 17, 2013
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This is a full colour illustrated children's story, a part of a series about a young goat named Billy and his adventures. In this episode, he gets the opportunity to spend a day "helping" his father, who is an electrician.

Naturally, as is often the case with young kids (especially if they really are goats), enthusiasm gets the better of common sense and things don't quite go as planned.

It's not a shocking conclusion that the kid gets his wires crossed, and of course a life lesson follows, leading to an illuminating ending.

Easy fun reading with a moral attached, but it should be noted that there are a couple of safety infractions evident in the illustrations, such as riding in the back of a pick-up and not wearing safety gear on a work site.
