5.0 out of 5 stars Must for Entourage Users, April 19, 2010
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
Anyone using Entourage needs to know how to configure their Microsoft User Data files so Time Machine will only backup the incremental changes. Otherwise, Time Machine will try to back up the entire database file every time it is modified, even though only a few megabytes (e.g., receiving a single new email) out of several gigabytes of the file have been changed. Very, very annoying plus this will quickly fill up your backup storage and can cause each backup to take a relatively long time. You can avoid this problem by creating a sparse bundle disk image for your user data. The most helpful and easy to follow instructions for doing this are contained in an online article in Mac OS Hints, October 29, 2009. Amazon does not allow direct links to the article but a search should turn it up fairly easily.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great iPod Device with Sony A/V Receiver, September 26, 2007
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This is the best device I've seen for integrating an iPod with a home entertainment center. In my case I'm using the TDM-IP1 with a Sony STRDG-1100 A/V receiver. The Sony remote and onscreen display lets you see the iPod music lists on your TV screen and select what's to be played. Very easy to install and operate.

4.0 out of 5 stars Finally - A Black Bath Mat, September 25, 2007
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This is a good quality bath mat. If you are looking for a black (or in Polo's case "Beluga") bath mat, this is one of the few, for whatever reason, quality black bath mats available.

4.0 out of 5 stars Best Small Camcorder Available, September 24, 2007
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This is a good value, easy to use and carry camcorder. While video quality is not as good as a full size camcorder, the picture is clearly superior when compared to videos taken with a Treo 700p or using the video option of a Casio Exilm 5.0 EX-Z55. No problem loading videos to MacBook Pro, converting to Quick Time .mov and writing DVD's. Could use a viewfinder as screen is almost impossible to use in bright sunlight. Also, "zoom" button is so close to "record" that it's very easy to unintentionally turn off record when all you are trying to do is press zoom for a closer shot.

5.0 out of 5 stars Quality Product, September 19, 2007
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
Having purchased both expensive HDMI cables (e.g., $50+ for 3M) and this product (about $10 including shipping for 1M), I can assure you that there is absolutely no difference between the quality of the video output on a 42" Hitachi 1080i. Also, you can rest assured that this product is a fairly heavy duty cable; it's not some flimsy, light weight cable that you might expect at this price point. I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of this cable, and 1M is ideal for connecting a cable box or DVD player that are typically fairly close to your A/V receiver.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Value / Mac Users Take Note Re Firmware Upgrade, September 3, 2007
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
At $230-$240 plus 5 HD DVD's from Toshiba, this HD DVD player costs about the same or less than a very good, regular DVD player with upscaling capability. Picture is outstanding though don't expect a significant difference as compared to HD programming you are already viewing via HD cable (e.g., Planet Earth series). Regular DVD's are upscaled to near HD quality. N.B. Mac users - if you elect to download the firmware update (the easiest & quickest way to upgrade), you must use "Disk Utility" (not "Finder") to copy the HD-A2-2200U.iso file to a CD (Firmware upgrade may not work copied to a DVD).
