Clarks Originals Men's Desert Boot
Clarks Originals Men's Desert Boot
Price: $47.99 - $167.00

4.0 out of 5 stars Great looking, strange fit, June 26, 2014
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
First, these boots look great. Can be easily dressed up or dressed down, and it's easy to get a lot of use out of these boots. However (as others have mentioned), they run large. I wear 10/10.5 in Vans and got a 9.5, which is snug. Before purchasing, I tried on the suede at a local Nordstroms and it was significantly more comfortable than the Beeswax leather one I purchased. The higher ankle rubs against your calf, and it's looser in the heel while quite tight in the front of my foot. However, since it's leather, I think a couple weeks of consistent wear should make them feel really good. If you want some instant comfort, try a suede version. I personally think the leather is great, and definitely get this Original version with the crepe sole.

5.0 out of 5 stars Perfect Commuter Helmet, September 7, 2012
I ordered the Bell XLV because I have a huge head. It was supposed to fit up to 65 cm head, and i'm a around 60ish cm head. Sounds good right? Well apparently my head shape doesn't fit normal road helmets and that was the case with the Bell. I started googling helmets that fit round heads better and after a long time of searching, I found a XXXL Brentwood. I figured if a 3XL can't fit, well then I'm gonna need some life insurance. Got it today and tried it on and it is fantastic. Just a hair tight when i try to talk, but it is a very snug and comfortable fit. Sit around/on/down on your head as advertised and I find that to be a more safe feeling helmet. The matte finish is great, and the visor is pretty cool. It honestly is lighter than it looks (no road helmet, but it's certainly not a skateboard helmet either). I could see this getting hot during the summer, but for a commuter, I think this is a fantastic choice. The most important part of a helmet is actually making you want to wear it, and this product certainly does. Plus it fits my huge, round head! Love this, and very excited to have a helmet I actually want to wear.

5.0 out of 5 stars Best Consumer Laptop, September 7, 2012
First off, if you want a Mac, this is a no brainer. The Pro is outdated and very big, and the Retina is a huge chunk of change; save it for the professional use. For the everyday user, the Air is fantastic.

For the PC users (as I was before I got this Air), I would strongly recommend this laptop. It is more expensive than possibly a similarly priced PC, but the build quality and design I believe is second to none. Mac OS is so phenomenal to use; I already hate simply scrolling on my PC. There is almost nothing wrong with this computer. The only problem is the upgradability, but with the SSD, speed is almost a none issue. Having no drive is a good thing in my opinion, I almost never use it and having an external is more convenient. Same goes for hard drive. Obviously I want a 512 GB SSD, and the 128 is a tad small, but it is SO zippy. Truly incredible performance. I also upgraded to 8 GB beforehand, and I don't see how this computer would excel for at least 2-3 years. Add in the incredible resale value of Macs, and this is a great, great buy.

Unless you're a hardcore gamer, I see absolutely no reason to not buy a Macbook Air as your new computer. The 13 inch is fast enough to replace a desk top, and it can handle almost anything you throw at it. This is THE best student laptop you can buy, and instead of buying a cheap PC that you will need to dole out more money to upgrade or replace, I'd invest in one of these and I'd be surprised if it doesn't last you the rest of your HS or college years.

3.0 out of 5 stars Not for all big heads, September 7, 2012
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Bell XLV Bike Helmet (Sports)
I have had a lot of trouble finding a good helmet, and this looked like a solid affordable choice. However, this is much longer than it is wide. I personally have a large, wider head and this helmet barely fit better than those One Size helmets. Although it is huge, make sure you don't have a wide head. The larger size is definitely more front and back. I had to return the item unfortunately (got a Bern instead, LOVE it!). It certainly looks good, and the quality seems good as well. Just may not be as big as you think it is.

3.0 out of 5 stars Not so HD, September 7, 2012

I wanted to buy something to protect my screen, and this certainly does so. It is thick and extremely easy to put on. However, the anti-glare is extremely (and I mean that in every sense of the word) noticeable. Everything looks grainier and I personally want to take it off if this weren't my first Mac and I really don't want to screw it up. I used the Air without the protector and the screen was just better to look at. It is protective, easy to clean, and the anti glare certainly works-I just wish it didn't work so well.

4.0 out of 5 stars Does it's job, September 7, 2012
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
Very thin and small. Definitely hurts the tactile feedback of the keys however. I personally love the Mac keyboards, and it makes the keys harder to press. I definitely type slower with the cover on (I removed it to type this review right now) and I miss keys now and then. Not a huge problem, but you'll know it's on. Also, I personally believe the aesthetics of a Mac is half the reason to get one, and this dampens the black of the keys against the aluminum. Tiny stylistic preference on my part, but if you prefer a clean look, this is certainly not invisible. I like it much better than those silicone ones though, and for some protector from dust and such, I would recommend one.

Also note: it seems the Air tends to flow heat out throw the top of the laptop (so the bottom can stay cool), and from my istat app, ive noticed the machine runs slightly hotter with the cover on. Nothing too noticeable, and the fans don't kick in or anything like that. But having the cover on definitely increases the temperature for 5ish degrees.

4.0 out of 5 stars Speck: Solid Solid Solid, September 7, 2012

Mine came slightly warped from shipping, but even so this is a good case. Easy to install, no loose parts, and complete coverage. I will say this is slightly thick (noticeably thicker, but not a lot thicker if that makes sense) and a tad heavy. But that's in comparison to have the Air as a machine itself. But I think what makes this case a good buy is that you can see the logo light up through the case. Gotta let people know you roll Cupertino style. The matte finish has been great so far (very easy to clean). Haven't owned it long enough for durability, but if you want some solid, simple protection, this is a solid buy!
