This book is a long read with very little useful information. Probably 2 paragraphs could summarize all the useful take home points. The author is also very condescending to those who have not attended an Ivy League school. It is possible he thinks the average reader is stupid. This may account for the tone and pace of this book. There must be better books available on the subject.

1.0 out of 5 stars 343 Strikes Again!, November 13, 2014
I am a big fan of Halo multiplayer. It is the reason I own an Xbox, Xbox 360 and Xbox One. I do not own a Play Station (PS4 or otherwise). I felt that Bungie did a great job with Halo. Halo 4 with 343 turned Halo into COD. The flow of the game was wooden. It was a step back from Reach. I did have high hopes for the Masterchief Collection. They must have access to all the old code and game engines. Took the day off Nov. 11th to play multiplayer all day. Much to my surprise multiplayer doesn't work at all. 343 says that players are "experiencing longer than expected wait times" for multiplayer. How about indefinite wait times. If you buy Halo MCC you will not get to play multiplayer at this time. Period. Why did Microsoft turn over Halo to this incompetent company? Do they have compromising pictures of Bill Gates? Halo is a franchise that sells the Xbox and distinguishes it from Sony and Nintendo. 343 has now put a second nail in the Halo coffin. How can Halo 5 be any different being produced by the same group of people who were probably extras in the movie Idiocracy?

Update November 14th:
Bought the game November 10th. As of November 15th there is still NO MULTIPLAYER. Not "longer wait times than usual" - there is nothing. Does anyone at Microsoft care? Again, flagship game for next gen console that does not work.

1.0 out of 5 stars No multi-player mode until you play enough in campaign mode?!??, September 11, 2014
This review is from: Destiny - Xbox One (Video Game)
This game so far has been horrible. I loved Halo 2, 3, Reach.. etc. I did not like Halo 4 and 343 effectively ended the franchise for me. Could care less about campaign and co-op modes. I only play multi-player. I was very much looking forward to Destiny. It looked like Bungie was bringing back a game with a similar feel to Halo (that 343 does not understand how to program). Last night I was dead tired coming home from work. I popped in Destiny for the first time. Waited for the endless update and endless loading to the hard drive. Finally I would be able to play something similar to pre-343 Halo multi-player. But I could not. You have to play in campaign mode for a while to unlock multi-player mode. Who decided this? I don't think Bungie gets it anymore. If you were only interested in campaign mode would they make you play multi-player for a few hours in order to "unlock" campaign. It makes no sense. Maybe, people who are interested in multi-player should wait to purchase this until Bungie makes this right. Just on principle. If I had known I was going to have to slog through the goofy campaign for hours to unlock certain powers (not really defined what you have to unlock). in order to get to multi-player, I would not have bought this.

5.0 out of 5 stars One of the best comedies I have seen in a while, June 29, 2014
This review is from: Coffee Town (Amazon Instant Video)
Funny from start to finish! I was not expecting this to be so good. Someone commented "the kind of movie Kevin Smith should be making..." Reminiscent of Office Space, Clerks/Mall Rats, and Swingers. Writing was very good. There are a lot of little pay-offs throughout if you pay attention. Acting was spot on for this type of comedy.

2.0 out of 5 stars just not that good, October 1, 2013
This review is from: The Purge (Amazon Instant Video)
This movie had some promise. The characters do some dumb things which most of us would never do. There is a not-so-subtle gun control message as well. Silly for this type of movie. The ending is very weak. There were multiple ways to end the movie that would have left the audience stunned. They chose a milk toast ending. Had promise. Did not deliver.

5.0 out of 5 stars Very good light - you won't be disappointed, September 21, 2013

Carry it in my truck. Very compact and very bright. Very solidly made. I have not banged it around too much, but seems like you could use it as a hammer if you had to with no worries. Well thought out design including the activation of the light. Have lots of small and medium sized flashlights (including a lot of SureFire products). This is as good as it gets. Reasonably priced for the quality that you are getting.
