Mostly rude people drawing pictures of wangs (poorly drawn, at that) and writing their words and calling each other cheaters. Fun, if you are a adolescent boy, I suppose. Developer doesn't seem concerned with putting in some kind of safeguards. Whatever....it's fun, but don't let your child play it.

if you like rock, punk, or soul, and --like me-- you missed this album when it was released, it's ok. The music is timeless, the album is perfect. don't waste another year, or day, without it.

It's good. If you found it, go ahead and watch it. Great acting, good plot, cool cars. Robert Mitchum is great in this one.

Cody Chesnutt solidifies himself in the canon of American soul with this album. In a year where so many other good sould efforts came to fruition, from Pickwick and Allen Stone to Lee Fields and Charles Bradly, this one stands out.

Known for the eccentricity of his debut: Headphone Masterpiece, I wondered what could possibly take a decade to cook up. Well , it was worth the wait. Brilliant tones from gospel to neo soul Chesnutt has it all covered with a voice of gold and his own acerbic lyrical wit to match.

If you've ever liked anyone from Aretha Franklin to Erykah Badu, you will absolutely love this.

I saw them live on the recommendation of a friend and had to purchase an album to support. The only way I can think to describe this is the impossible marriage of sophistication and doom metal.

If you appreciate experimental electronic, pysch rock, prog rock, etc., this is a band for you. And see them live if you can.

The sound quality of these headphones is incomparable to other brands in it's price range. I'm not very easy on earbuds, so I stick to cheaper ones. The most expensive pair I've purchased was a skullcandy set, and those were absolute garbage compared to these, and these were 20 dollars cheaper.

What's great is this: The shape of the headphones make them seem like they'll be bulky in the ears, but the way they wear is very comfortable, and they don't look bulky at all. I read on wirecutter.com that the sound compare to the shure brand headphones that were $200. I find them pretty excellent in all ranges of sound. I'd prefer a little more bass heavy (there's good bass tones, just not really really heavy) but the fact that there are so many other sounds picked up by these makes up for it. You really hear the entire composition of what you're listening to.

The wires are coated in a cloth sheath. Pretty heavy duty yet delicate construction here. No more heavy than a pair of normal earbuds though. Once you get used to how to put them on (the wire wraps over the top of the ear) you're good to go.

Not so great: same comfort issues as most earbuds. If you wear them for hours like me, your ears will have to get used to them. Again, i wear these for hours at a time.

Same issues with tangling cords as any earbud set.

I have and would recommend these to everyone I see. Look at the price, then realize you'll be getting a sound and a design normally reserved for headphones in the $200-$400 range.

3.0 out of 5 stars The Limits Of Patience, October 21, 2012

Honestly, love Jim Jarmusch, but this will be very difficult to watch for someone without a great amount of patience for art. Part Ghost Dog, Part Dead Man; the assassin has a curious lack of charisma and plays a case-hardened quiet type rather than Whittaker's wise sage, however, and is not bungling like Depp in Dead Man. I would love to see the script for this movie, since the guy really doesn't even ever speak. This gets a little old, the acting is superb actually, but the scenes could've been trimmed here and there because, well, WE GET THE POINT. Between Tai Chi sessions, meeting with less superior contacts, and generally trying to avoid Juliette Lewis (it's hard, because she's naked in EVERY scene, even the one she's DEAD in), our anti-hero navigates some southern european/north african paradise in search of trouble.

What is wonderful about this movie is that every scene is like a moving still photo. The cinematography is SO beautiful, SO well done, that you kind of forget about the movie. The colors, the angles the scenes are shot from, all the way down to the textiles of the clothes of the actors is all delicately chosen to defy any specific period and gives the movie a feel of timelessness. There is a lot to look at while waiting around to find out just what exactly the limits of control are...

I give this a "if you have a huge TV, and a party going on, and you want to put this on in the background to impress your artsy friends, or are walking around home alone naked and would like a quiet thriller, this is the right movie" out of 10.

5.0 out of 5 stars The Guy With a Noomi Tattoo, January 7, 2012
Just watch it. Just watch all three. Noomi Rapace is a great actress. Stieg Larson wrote this stuff in his free time and then kicked off, so it's like a little gift he left for us. If you read the bad reviews you'll see a lot of hubbub about how the rape scenes are too much, and the movie follows the book too little, or about the implausibility of the plot....well, what do you want it to do?, change your life?, it's just a flick. Crammed with all the movie goodies. There's suspense, thrill, gore, wicked men, and a pretty cool girl. That's all. Probably not good for the kiddos, but if you want some brain candy, or would just like to see all the films before you pay US theater fees to see how Americans can ruin a movie, this is your film.

I actually dig the idea of including every possible evil metaphor or character for a man. There's Nazis, power mongers with money to waste, gansters, sickos, dumb cops, chauvinists, and even the male hero is just an adultering, bumbling simpleton at times. If you dig too deep, you'll miss the fun. If you look for every improbability, you'll forget to look at Noomi. If you read the book, then by virtue of being a reader you know that movies never live up to what the author wrote and you conjured in your devious little head.

There's quite a few good Swedish (and/or Danish) films out there these days (see: Elling, Let The Right One In) and you shouldn't miss them because you're afraid of what you wont like, and for god sakes, watch the version with English subtitles!; if there is one thing worse than reading a movie (as if) it's watching a dubbed one.

Just a great film. Well documented process with some very interesting characters working to break down some difficult paradigms. With technological advances and increase in world population, the global neighborhood is getting to know one another for better or worse, and this guy is doing the right thing; working from what he knows, where he is at, with what he's got to make a better world for the young ones. Highly recommended.

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent Eastern Western, August 4, 2011
This review is from: The Proposition (Amazon Video)
While I disagree with the reviews comparing the violence in the movie to Cormac McCarthy novel type violence, this movie is fairly violent. For all the right reasons.

Two things are scary about the plot line here: 1. Colonialism of Australia was an ugly ugly time in the worlds past. It makes you feel icky to watch, and 2. The "Villain", "Arthur Ash", played by Danny Huston is one of the more loveable psychos you'll ever see on screen. Its a strange feeling to begin wanting to become more involved with this mysterious character simply because he seems more intellectual than the rest of 1800's Australia.

Nick Cave works into the screenplay much of what works in his music, which is wording that conjures vision, and TENSION. The glorious vistas and great acting make the movie an excellent sight to see, while the storyline never trips or gets boring, even the soundtrack pulls the viewer along, into the inevitable end, which Guy Pearce and company make sure you understand may not be very pleasant....
