5.0 out of 5 stars Handy Little Purse, May 25, 2015

Handy little package. Each side has a zipper. One opens to a pocket obviously to hold cash. The other side has a number of sections to hold your various cards.

I like that. It makes keeping up with your stuff a lot easier.

5.0 out of 5 stars The Marshal and The Gold, May 24, 2015
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Vulture Gold (Kindle Edition)
Gareth Havelock is town marshal of Vulture City, a man who walks with a limp because of a destroyed knee, the gift from the war shot by an old enemy.

A hundred thousand in gold bars had been stolen by that old enemy, one Barnabas Donovan. Donovan is in jail, the gold has been hidden, and the Governor's daughter has been kidnapped to get Donovan released.

Everyone wants the gold, Havelock wants Donovan, and the Marshal finds himself in a death race with Apaches wanting his life.

Chuck Tyrell, pen name for Charles T. Whipped, gives us a fine novel that keeps the action rolling.

5.0 out of 5 stars A Race For The Big Prize, May 23, 2015
This review is from: Stone Rider (Hardcover)
Vine Customer Review of Free Product (What's this?)
A novel of a byke race with a huge prize: Sky-Base and a life of luxury away from the drudgery of the mines. A course thousands of miles of waste lands, obstacle courses, traps, the only weapon allowed a sling.

And you'd need it. There were outlaws in the waste lands, cannibals, wolves, and the other contestants.

Adam Stone didn't plan to race originally. He had a byke, one his brother had rode until the accident had taken a leg. He wanted to stay for his brother. Then an enemy, Levi Blood, son of the Colonel and his Scorpions had attacked, leaving his brother dead!

Revenge in mind. And winning the Race of course.

Others in the race were Sadie Blood, sister of Levi, one Adam secretly loved, and the mysterious Kane, who'd helped Adam withers, saving his life, but was prone to disappear at times.

Pretty good read with a couple of twists long the way.

5.0 out of 5 stars Terrific Tale, May 23, 2015
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: King Solomon's Mines (Paperback)
Author Mark Ellis and artist Pablo Marcos give us a modern adaptation, a graphic novel, of the classic adventure tale from the nineteenth century.

The story has been streamlined, omitting stuff unpalatable by today's standards, and added elements that stay true to the story.

Recommended.

5.0 out of 5 stars Ana and The Juicers, May 23, 2015
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
Ana and Miguel were partners, cops walking the best with a security drone flying overhead in one of the worst sections of Baltimore.

Then one evening they find the body of a gray haired man, with bulging muscles, shot to death. Then another enhancer is found fighting a group, screaming they're coming after him.

Someone is juicing the homeless, no one knows why, and Ana is determined to find out who and why.

Promising beginning for the Black Market DNA series.

5.0 out of 5 stars Good Candy, May 23, 2015
Vine Customer Review of Free Product (What's this?)
Despite having been around for many years, I'd never tried Starburst candies before. Not sure then on packaging for the original, but these are small squares loose in a repeatable bag.

I like the sweet taste, the texture of the candies, and the variety of flavors. The bag says unwrapped, which seems to be a trend in the candy business these days.

Pretty good.

5.0 out of 5 stars Terrific Taste, May 23, 2015
Vine Customer Review of Free Product (What's this?)
This is one terrific product. I have a love of spicy foods such that no one in my family will eat any dish I make.

This Chile garlic sauce I've used in several ways. It makes a nice spread on grilled steaks. I've used it as a dip for diced and grilled boneless chicken breasts, and finally as an ingredient in my homemade chili. I have several other ideas that I'm planning to try. The large size bottle(77ozs) is not a problem. I don't see it lasting long.

Then I'll just order more.

5.0 out of 5 stars The Manager and The Blackmailer, May 23, 2015
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
Raab Commoner and his wife Kayla are hired by Raab's old college baseball coach, now a major league manager headed to the World Series. He's being blackmailed over a stupid indiscretion and the stakes had been ramped up. It could ruin his reputation and kill his team's chances in the series. Not to mention ending his marriage.

Then the young woman involved is murdered and the stakes get even higher.

Author Richard David Bach knows how to keep the story moving with nice pacing and loads of action.

5.0 out of 5 stars True Nature, May 22, 2015

A group of tales and quotes lifted from a larger work illustrating the benevolent side of Muslim life. Not at all what we are led to believe.
