5.0 out of 5 stars simple expedients like replanting forests not whizbang "carbon sequester" techno schemes, March 10, 2015
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
Fantastically very clear exposition of where we stand today in the age of Peak Oil and Climate Change shorn of cornucopian illusions.
As Naomi Klein so clearly lays out we HAVE to change to shared resources via public transit, libraries, schools, parks, water supplies etc if we are going to maintain our civilization in the face of Limits to Growth and Climate Change. It is NOT true that renewable energy or other more environmentally friendly mass consumption will allow us to continue our current privatized suburban sprawl way of life.
As Lester Brown in "Plan B" some years ago the answers are not technological but political - we have known for decades that
we need Green public transit instead of privatized Auto Addiction, an end to Wars, simple expedients like replanting forests not whizbang "carbon sequester" techno schemes. We need to share the resources we have by restoring the public sector for the 99% not
continue rampant privatization for the greed of the 0.1% to survive with a civilized lifestyle and not destroy our own means for living on Earth.

5.0 out of 5 stars Works great - receive DTV channels where I received snow, January 9, 2009
As part of the transition to DTV broadcasting I got a Tivax converter box along with this antenna. It works great! Before using this combination with the old rabbit ears antenna and regular analog TV there were a few channels with snow. Now I can receive over 20 channels over the air for free with clear pictures and sound.
