5.0 out of 5 stars Better than expected, March 9, 2014
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
The stitch work at first glace looked a little sub-par, but I was quite mistaken. The fit is great, and overall the coat itself is quite comfortable. Even though it says not to on the tag.. I find machine wash is just fine, just remember to air dry! I bought a 3X and it was a little smaller than expected, but nothing noticeable! While it's not insulated like some other more expensive Dusters may be, its still quite warm and is very much waterproof!

Might as well spend the extra up front.. I bought one of these and it failed within 24 hours. The adapter is still handy to have, but the SD itself is useless.

5.0 out of 5 stars New life for older Macbook, March 9, 2014
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
Bought this SSD to replace the drive from my 2007 Macbook. The new speedy drive really breathes new life into an older system. If you have an older machine this is sure worth a try.. really makes a difference! The adapter wasn't needed in my situation, but hold on to it if you don't use it! You'd be surprised how handy they are!

4.0 out of 5 stars Works as intended with a little work, March 9, 2014
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
Ok so here's the deal. These are perfect replacements if your original assemblies have become scratched, etc, etc. However it does take a little bit of work to get them right. First off, the adjustment system is different from the stock units from the factory; and the ones from the old ones can't be switched to the new ones. However there is a quick was to fix this issue. Go to a local parts store and buy a couple screws about 3 inches long. Simply screw them into the adjustment fitting on the new assemblies.. they substitute perfectly, and work exactly as the factory-stock adjustment system would. Using a standard allen wrench they adjustment works. Second issue I ran into was the screws from my original units weren't long enough to catch with the new ones. Just take a flat-head screw driver and pop the screw clips off the old ones, and replace the new clips with the originals. They fit just the same, and doing so allows your original screws (the three on the top that secures the assemblies into place) work just like with the old units. Before switching them over my screws wouldn't get ANY bite on the new clips.. they were just barely holding them in place. After switching them out they work great.

All in all they are good replacements. Just takes a few extra minutes to switch the screw clips, and add a screw to each adjustment head. The bulbs that come with the assemblies are clear, bright, and were a nice surprise!

4.0 out of 5 stars Perfect keyboard for your Vintage Mac, April 24, 2011
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
These early USB keyboards are a great addition to a vintage Mac! Being made with a transparent hue; they are of course designed to be partnered with the matching iMac G3 systems, but will work with ANY Mac or PC for that matter with an available USB port. Their compact size makes them a perfect fit for small space like a medium sized computer desk, etc. In addition the two USB ports these feature (one per side) also comes in handy for the addition of a mouse, or other USB 1.1 device.

Pros:
The transparent colors truly look amazing when they boards are in a decent condition.
These boards have wonderful keys, they "Feel" great when typing.
Two USB 1.1 ports, makes adding a mouse, flash drive, etc convenient.
Can be used with ANY computer with a USB port, Mac or Windows.
VERY sturdy construction
Compact size

Cons:
The USB cable could be a bit longer.
It's not easy to clean under the keys.
Heavy compared to the majority of today's keyboards.
Being a bit smaller than most standard boards, it does take a little time to get use to.

Overall, these are GREAT keyboards, and are an absolute must if you have an early Mac like an iMac G3, etc.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great "next step" supply!, February 16, 2010
Recently installed one of these in my new eMachines desktop. Major improvement over it's stock (and OEM standard for most PC makers!) 250watt supply. The addition of one of these allows you the ability to run several extras that most stock supplies simply won't handle like video cards, etc.

The double fan design is a winner! In addition this unit is quiet! Possibly more quiet than the stock supply I just replaced. This unit has MORE than enough power adapters for most PC users. So no need to worry about running out of hookups in your system.

The one "Con" I have, is this unit has a power switch on it's back. If you're like me and use your computer's power button to turn your system on or off.. be sure to leave the supply's unit in the "ON" position at all times! Other wise it may take you an extra second to figure out what the heck is going on!

All in all, for the price I paid for this ([...] bucks) you can't go wrong! I highly recommend this for anyone thats running a stock supply.. if it "needs" replacement or not!

4.0 out of 5 stars Not bad, not bad at all!, February 16, 2010
I recently picked one of these up from Amazon here, and put it in my eMachines desktop. Let me say it makes a WORLD of difference.

Simply put, here are the numbers from Windows 7 Experience score.

Desktop Performance for Aero. Onboard Video - 3.5 With this card - 3.7 (with latest drivers!)

3D Business and gaming graphic performance. Onboard Video - 3.2 With this card - 5.3 Thats a huge difference!

Pros,
Easy to install. I've heard horror stories of people having to find drivers for this card. I installed it, turned on my system and Windows 7 did everything for me. Installed the latest drivers AND removed the original videos drivers. Nothing to it.

Cons,
As stated in other reviews this sucker is loud. I wasn't ever able to hear my computer running before, but now I can hear it from a good six feet away.

All in all I would rate this card 4 out of 5 stars. If it was a little bit more quiet it would be a 5* for sure. Easy to install, and for most people 512MB of DDR2 ram is enough. For example, I am able to play the Ghostbusters Video Game with this card.. and you can ask any PC gamer how image intensive that game is.

This card is a winner! A loud winner, but a winner never less!

5.0 out of 5 stars Much better than other folding conversions, June 5, 2009
= Durability:5.0 out of 5 stars  = Fun:5.0 out of 5 stars  = Educational:5.0 out of 5 stars
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
Ok everyone. Let me start out by saying I have two Blade CX2s. I purchased this upper hub for my original (oldest one) I bought this to replace a plastic folding conversion I had bought earlier. While this (being CNC) was of course more expensive, I can surely say its worth it. Looks along make this a better fit than most plastic folding sets.

Pros,
1. More durable than any plastic hub you can purchase (folding or not)

2. If you are moving from a set blade setup (stock) Folding is the way to go, far fewer broken blades / blade strikes.

3. Most CX2s come with a CNC upper hub, an most are blue. Adding this blue upper blade holder really gives you CX a much better look.

Cons,
1. Some folding blades may have to be sanded down on the edges to fit into the slots (Example, I use hardened white blades from Helitek-RC. To get mine to fit well I had to slightly sand some from the handle side of the blades) This isn't a big deal, but something to keep in mind.

2. The "spaces" that fit inside each side holder slips out rather easily during installation. May be a good idea to install this over a colored towel (black would wok well) seeing as the spacers are small and white. Which would make finding them if they fall out much easier!

In closing, I've used Microheli parts before and was not satisfied (tailboom) However, with this one they got it right, and I tip my hat to them.

1.0 out of 5 stars Picked one up, wish I hadn't, April 17, 2009
= Durability:1.0 out of 5 stars  = Fun:1.0 out of 5 stars  = Educational:1.0 out of 5 stars
Ok, so we got one of these little guys around a month or so ago. In that time its flown correctly one time, and by one time I mean one circle of our field about 1 minute in the air. That's right about a minute worth of flight in around a month.

First problem with this thing is the landing gear wouldn't snap into place like its suppose to. I had to physically shove it in the notch, which in turn pushed the bottom of the plane in on itself. Second problem is the plane's durability. Yeah, I know for less than 50 what do you expect? Well, expect more than this will give you. First light crash (and I DO mean light, after a hand launch that lasted all of about 4 feet) it came down on its nose cone and nearly ripped it off. In addition to the nose the rotors are very easily broken.

My biggest problem with this model is the way the battery is charged. If you've ever flown a RC plane or heli you will be shocked by how primitive this is done for this battery. Plug it into the back of the controller, turn it on.. and wait for the battery to get hot. NO JOKE, thats how you're suppose to know when to stop charging, by the temperature. Thats just not very safe.

The only way I've kept mine together at all in the past month is thanks to Elmer's school glue. I've had to glob glue into cracks, holes in the foam, and even use it to keep the wings on the plane. If you buy this plan, no joke, buy some white school glue as you'll need it.

This model cost us 45 dollars or so shipping and all. For just a little more you can pickup a 3 CH Air Hogs plane, or for 99.99 a "mini Super Cub" from a hobby store or online. If you want to fly an RC airplane, this isn't the model you need. It looks "cool" sure, but it just doesn't work. Save your pennies and for a little more you can get a better, bigger, and an easier to fly bird.

5.0 out of 5 stars Purchased one awhile back, March 8, 2009
= Durability:5.0 out of 5 stars  = Fun:5.0 out of 5 stars  = Educational:5.0 out of 5 stars
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
I got myself one of these awhile back. I also have a Blade CX2 that runs 179 USD new. I can tell you that the Lama V4 is every bit the heli that the Blades are, and for alot less.

My suggestion to anyone that is considering one of these bad boys would be to pickup a 72mhz model. The range is very good, and the interference you'll receive is minimal. Also, in most cases you can purchase a 72mhz model and upgrade it to 2.4ghz cheaper than you can just purchase one thats already 2.4ghz.

You will want extra blades. While the unit comes with 1 set of each lowers and uppers (which is more than can be said for the CX2, as they come with no extras) the standard E-sky blades are very fragile. They "cone" upwards while in the air, which makes blade strikes a real issue. There are 3 real options. The standard replacement blades are fairly cheap compared to the CX2 blades. Or you can purchase some Xtreme blades or helitek-rc hardened white blades, as both are good 3rd party options that are stronger than the stock blades.

Also if you ever plan on flying outside you'll likely want to purchase a tail boom from somewhere like boomtown hobbies, and an extended inner shaft from Helitek-RC. Both of which will really help when fighting the wind outside. Also the extended shaft will help make blade strikes a thing of the past.

Right from the box you have a heli thats better than most that cost lots more, and with a few upgrades you can have a serious outdoor flying machine. Either way, standard or upgraded you'll be very happy with the V4.
