4.0 out of 5 stars Lots of fun from start to finish. 80's Campiness is back!, August 6, 2012
This review is from: The Watch (DVD)
This movie definitely is having a rough time with critics and audiences, for various reasons all around. Why though? From start to finish, I was laughing consistently with the goofy and conversational humor of these guys all hanging out and bustin' up aliens together. The aliens looked great (in my opinion) and it was all just a ton of fun. It had may qualities of a campy 80's flick and references abound which made me enjoy a heck of a lot more. Overall, it ain't perfect, but it's a darn good popcorn flick nonetheless.

3.0 out of 5 stars Better Than Expected., November 20, 2005
This review is from: Open Your Eyes (Audio CD)
After reading a few reviews on how this is a disapointing album and not catchy i was drawn away from buying it, but, i love goldfinger and have ever since back in 1999 when i played the first tony hawk game i heard "superman" and fell in love with it. So, i saw this at cd wharehouse for 5 bucks so i picked it up just so i could give it a shot because its goldfinger. From the first track i really enjoyed it. It has alot of upbeat songs and few slow ones. IT could be a little better but its still good old goldfinger, but with no ska at all, i still like this though. I really enjoyed the 2 tracks "Going Home" and "FTN" because they were very fast and upbeat with great lyrics and especially on FTN, the lyrics were hilarious. WEll overall i liked this album and its not there best, but it is a good listen. I also look forward to purchasing Stomping Ground and Hng-Ups because as of now i only own this album, Open Your Eyes, and the Self-Titled.

4.0 out of 5 stars A Fun-Filled Rockin' Christmas Cd from the Rev, November 1, 2005
This review is from: We Three Kings (Audio CD)
This was a great idea from the rev ro put out a christmas album. I really enjoyed this cd. It was better than all those slow kenny g christmas albums. This albums rocks and rolls. He picked out great songs to play such as an excellent version of "Jingle Bells". It had a wonderful guitar and an awesome bass. Overall i really liked this album. The only thing remotely negative about it is probably the pace, some of the songs would of sounded cooler if they were a little more fast but its not a big deal. I really liked this album.

4.0 out of 5 stars The Living End is such a wonderful band., September 16, 2005
This review is from: The Living End (Audio CD)
This is an excellent album. I have listened and own all their albums and i have to say this is pretty much there best. I like this album and roll on alot. This album i think is a little better though. There is just something about this band that distingushes them differently from every other punk or rock band. They have a certain style or flair to them. Maybe its that they decided to use an upright bass instead of bass guitar. I dunno. But this is a great album and great band. Get this album if your a fan of rockabilly, punk, or if you would just like to hear a great guitarist by the name of Chris Cheney. Just get this cd. Its awesome. i will tell about the best songs on the cd.

Prisoner of Society- always a classic. first heard this a couple years ago and fell in love with it. very catchy and a great guitar. very rebellious lyrics. i like that

Growing Up- awesome song, upbeat guitar, danceable

Monday- one of my favorite songs on the cd. awesome guitar, great lyrics, very catchy, and has a certain happiness to it, i like it.

Save the Day- wonderful.

Trapped- unexpected ska song on the cd. its great though. a little slow at first then leads into some upbeat ska punk,

Fly Away- awesome guitar, very catchy, and in the middle of the song it has an amazing guitar solo from chris, very catchy and rockabilly-like

Strange- good lyrics, good everything

well this is the conclusion of my review, its cool if you took time to read it, well, ok, this is an awesome cd. BUY IT!

4.0 out of 5 stars Guttermouths Best Album., August 10, 2005
This review is from: Gusto (Audio CD)
I really enjoy this album. I pop it in sometime for great songs. Its probably one of there only good albums. Most of there stuff is typical hardcore punk sorta. Most of it sound the same. Especially the album Musical Monkey. I bought it thinking it would be good. And it sucks. I am not kidding when i say every song sounds the same. But this album is great. Its like poppie punk, pop, techno, and its just awesome. Buy it if your a fan of Guttermouth.

5.0 out of 5 stars One of the Best Ska-Punk Albums There is., July 12, 2005
This review is from: Slapstick (Audio CD)
IT just doesn't get much better than this. Every single song on this cd is upbeat, fun, loud, exciting, and darn catchy. Alll the songs have the perfect mix of punk and ska. Just enough punk and just enough ska. I love it. It's also perfect party music to jam too. I really enjoyed this album.

4.0 out of 5 stars A Ska Masterpiece., July 10, 2005
This review is from: Big Daddy Multitude (Audio CD)
This is one of the top ska albums of all time. The guitar riffs, horns, and songs are all so darn catchy and very "skankable". There is not one song on here i disliked. They are all so fun and loud and upbeat. Some of my personal favorites are... Ball Park Skank, Thigh-High Nylons, Too Stoopid, and others. I definately recomend this to any ska fan.
