3.0 out of 5 stars This is a nice jarred sauce., June 27, 2016
But to tell you the truth there's not a lot of flavor here, it desperately needs garlic and red
pepper. I had been eyeballing this at Publix for a while, resisting the $6 price tag, but wonder
of all wonders it showed up on the closeout rack last week for 2 bucks. It made for an interesting
experiment, but for the money, I still prefer to make my own and its also cheaper.

I usually make my own but I was literally dying for kimchi the other night, and the local
grocery didn't have any so I was fortunate to find this at a nearby Asian market.

Classic flavor, the infamous smell everybody complains about is not really bad, its pickled
cabbage fer crying out loud. If you don't complain about the smell of dill pickles I promise
you wont mind this stuff.

Got a mild spicy flavor, you can definitely taste the Korean red chili here, but its not overwhelming,
its just there for the flavor and blends perfectly with the ginger, onion, and fish sauce, which
is another misunderstood product....basically fish sauce is fermented anchovy, and anchovies
make everything taste better. If you've ever had a tableside Caesar salad you've already had
and enjoyed anchovies.

Serve immediately. Needs absolutely nothing but I do put just a little sugar in the store-bought
stuff to tone down the bite. Brown sugar works as well. Once you get hooked you will find no end
of uses for this wonderful product, and you will be motivated to make your own. If you live in the
South and know about Chow Chow, look at this as Korean chow chow, if you live elsewhere look
at this as a modified sauerkraut. And Napa cabbage is not a necessity, green cabbage works just
as well if not better for homemade.

Mix with hamburger meat before grilling (this is unbelievable), or just top your burger or hot dogs
or smoked sausage with this. Its also great as a side or on beans and especially in vegetable soups.
One of the things I like about this MIL kimchi is that the texture is authentic, with huge chunks of
cabbage here. A home run product all the way.

Oh yeah, other very good kimchi that you will find in the store are Mama Eun and King's, I find them
interchangeable and both very good.

4.0 out of 5 stars Like Dale's, June 23, 2016
This review is from: Lousiana Supreme Marinade (Misc.)
Soy sauce based, this is a pretty good marinade and a great value if you can find it
at your local grocer. I'm deducting 1 star for the high fructose corn syrup, but other
than that you cant tell this apart from Dale's, and at a fraction of the price this stuff
has found a permanent spot in my pantry.

Great for marinating steaks and chicken, add some pineapple juice and now you have Teriyaki
marinade, very versatile.

Definitely in my Top 3: 1. Ba Tampte 2. Kosciusko 3. Silver Springs Beer and Brat.

With those three mustards you can die a happy man. And with this stuff you can dress
everything from corned beef to brats to bologna and smoked turkey sandwiches and be
a hero to all your guests cause this stuff is fantastic! Nice subtle smokey flavor and a
good blast of spice. This is just delicious, addictive actually. Plochman's is still doing it
right. (big thumbs up thingy)

This is my favorite of all the store bought brands. I can get this locally at Publix for under 4 bucks,
and I go through a bottle every 3-4 weeks or so.

If you're getting into Asian cuisine, this is an essential addition to your pantry. I use it regularly to
make kimchi and homemade Worcestershire sauce (instead of messing with anchovies) and the
flavor and quality is consistently good bottle to bottle.

This stuff really has more uses than you can imagine. In the South, we make lots of Tomato Gravy,
and a few drops of fish sauce as a finisher totally transforms this classic Southern condiment. Its
also good in salad dressings, and I even use this in Bloody Marys (I've dropped the clam juice).

One of the things I love most is to take a whole chicken, split it in half, and marinate it in fish sauce,
soy sauce, and sesame oil with crushed ginger, crushed garlic, and Korean dried peppers, and then
grill the chicken. Fish sauce really activates the umami sense, bringing out lots of flavors for your palate.

If you're not familiar with fish sauce yet, do a little research. You've been eating it for years in Chinese, Korean,
and Japanese dishes, its one of the reasons you can't live without it! Really good fish sauce can be used as a
seasoning tool like anchovies, and anchovies make everything taste better. Start with very small quantities since
a little bit can go a long way. Experimenting with brands is the key, my family loves Red Boat, and obviously the
better quality of the fish sauce, the better your results.

5.0 out of 5 stars As good as it gets., June 23, 2016
I've been using this wonderful sauce for over 20 years, its Mount Rushmore in my home. I use this
on steak, burgers, in gumbo and red beans and rice. The flavor is out of this world, and it blends
perfectly with a variety of foods, and especially in Bloody Marys. You will find this on the table of
many Jamaican restaurants, they pour it on everything. This blessing from heaven includes all natural
ingredients like onion, raisins, peppers, tamarinds and other flavorful additions in a tomato base. Just
perfect. Not very hot, about a 2/10 so feel free to use liberally.

So happy I found this. We absolutely love the taste and versatility of this product and slather it on everything.
It takes hotdogs, burgers, mozzarella sticks, and fries to a whole new level. Dairy-free, gluten-free, vegan and
with no HFCS. Its so flavorful! The hatch peppers are saturated and infused into the flavor! Yum! I cant get enough
its addictive and when my friends come over to eat they just want more, but of course at $6 a bottle I have to ration
the stuff. Not very hot, about a 3/10.

Mustapha Harissa Mediterranean Hot Sauce , 10 oz
Mustapha Harissa Mediterranean Hot Sauce , 10 oz
Offered by GreatDealsSWF
Price: $17.99

5.0 out of 5 stars Wonderful., June 23, 2016
This is a fabulous sauce for use in cooking or as a condiment right out of the jar. We tried it cooked in a lamb
recipe, and also as a condiment on lamb and ham. It was yummy each way. It's very spicy and salty, but only
slightly hot. It peps up food without scorching your mouth, and adds an exotic flavor that you associate with
Morocco or the Middle East. Harissa adds a strong, spicy, but not hot, flavor to chicken and pork. I served it in
Morrocan Chicken for a party to rave reviews. Highly recommended!

5.0 out of 5 stars I want one!, June 23, 2016
When I worked in Cork, this sauce (Alana's) was a must in order to get through dinner. This steak
sauce is remarkable yet subtle in flavor. I did have a hard time getting it out of the bottle as it's very
thick, but it was well worth the effort. I'll never go back to my old, well known steak sauce brand which
was too acidic. Goodall's of Dublin is a winner.

This gift set looks like a great bargain. Wish listed for the holidays.

Kozliks Canadian Mustard - Hot Russian (8.5 ounce)

The entire Kozlik's line is fantastic, but this is the best of the bunch. The XXX is absolutely
delicious, its got just the right kick. Perfect on brats, ham, and pastrami. Blends perfectly
with mayo on sandwiches. Some people can't tolerate the heat, while others will not notice
it at all. A very nice balance and a high quality product.
