The power light on my NES wouldn't stop blinking when I turned it on. When games would actually read, they would be fuzzy or distorted. After installing this new connector, the system works great again.

3.0 out of 5 stars Flawed, but Well-Written Nonetheless, July 17, 2013

I know a lot of people were let down by the Casual Vacancy. It's quite a departure from the fun and exciting world of Harry Potter. This story focuses on the lives of 20 or so people in a small town in England and how they are all affected by the passing of a beloved town councilman. The thing you'll notice first about the book is how much more violent and sexual it is than expected. The story starts off rather slow and may confuse some because it goes through the process of introducing us to each of the main characters. This takes up the first third of the book or so. While I was reading the first third, it didn't seem like there was much of a story to tell. The main plot doesn't really set into motion until the middle of the book, and then it becomes very interesting. The second half becomes exciting and sad, and it expands greatly on the connections between all the main characters. This makes having so many characters confusing for some, but when Rowling goes further into their lives, you will be impressed by how well thought out and well-handled the characters are. Ultimately, this isn't a book for people who need happy endings, or a book for people wanting the next Harry Potter. It is a sad story with a very large scope that will either shock you or just leave you feeling disgusted.

5.0 out of 5 stars A Zelda Fan's Dream Come True, January 30, 2013

I have been playing Legend of Zelda games my entire life, and had extremely high expectations for this book. Without a doubt, this book surpassed my expectations. The artwork is stunning, and the book is of incredible print quality for only being $20. As for the content, I loved all the concept sketches from the earlier Zelda games, and I really enjoyed the history of Hyrule (basically the timeline) of how the games connect. My only disappointment in content was that the book seemed to focus more on Skyward Sword than any of the other games. This isn't a terrible thing, but I did expect this to give more of the development history for each of the games. If you are a Legend of Zelda fan, you simply must own this book. It is a wonderful tribute to the 25 year history of one of the best game series ever.
