A great place to start!

There are a lot of how-to's and what not's out there with scientific jargon, long chapters, and plenty of places to get hung up on what should be basic knowledge. Chick Days is not one of these books. Chick Days is the book you want when you know nothing about chickens yet crave to own them.
There are a few things that each reader will love about this new chicken tome. The first is that it follows a logical procession of chicken life. From egg to adult, Woginrich gently details the priorities of chicken lives, with light and witty writing. The life of a chicken is doubly illustrated by glimpses into a family's first poultry experience.
On top of simple advice, Chick Days also offers beautiful color poultry photography. The reader can watch each featured fluffed chick transform into a gangly adolescent before becoming a beautiful hen. The author includes excerpts from her popular blog as well, making the read as entertaining and welcoming as it is informational.
Before reading Chick Days, you might be clueless and cluckless. During Chick Days, you will feel a surprising urge to hold a ball of fluff in your hands and run out to your very own backyard coop. After reading Chick Days, you will feel confident in your ability to do just that. This book is pure poultry bliss for a beginner.
