5.0 out of 5 stars perfect!, December 8, 2011
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
works perfect with my Lumix GF3-K. instead of the light going from red to off to indicate full-charge, this one goes from red to green, which i also like. the batteries are the perfect fit for my camera, and last considerably longer than the stock battery; so, i keep one Wasabi battery charged and in my camera at all times, one spare, and my original as a back-up! i don't think would ever run out of power! plus, the charger is pretty slim (the prongs fold-in) and fits into my camera bag, so if i have it i need it. and considering you get TWO batteries, plus the charger AND car adapter.. at the price, it is a pretty fantastic deal (since we all know that ONE battery from Panasonic directly can be close to $100!), and they work flawlessly! and YES, the battery life DOES display on-screen as normal, another bonus as most non-brand batteries are 'locked' or whatever it is, so for some reason the life does not show.. you just have to wing it! not with these, though. these work and are GREAT!!
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED FOR YOUR KIT, beginners.. or, anybody!! probably can't beat this price, at least with all aforementioned features. hope this helps!
thanks, Wasabi Power!

3.0 out of 5 stars pans not full, broken/torn lid from box..., December 8, 2011
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
so, let me start off by saying i LOVE benefit make-up. it was time to refresh my smudge pots, and a friend told me i should do it here, since some colors (not the popular ones, like black, bronze, etc) are discounted (she was right, so i took advantage). i also needed several other things, also decided to buy the 3-pack mini cheeky's set, and the smudge & line #28 brush. now, usually i shop at Sephora, in-store or online, to guarantee authenticity, try before i by, and have a place to return it to if anything goes wrong.
my first mistake was trying a new (to me) product, and not going through Sephora.com or benefit.com, or just an actual brick-and-mortar store first, since i only had reviews and seller ratings to rely on and, knowing i wanted/needed the item anyway for my kit (i am a freelance MUA), i purchased it here because it was out of stock anyway on Sephora.com, and a few bucks cheaper here... HOWEVER, it did come right from 'Benefit' SO, if this is how they conduct their business, by sending out such SHODDY merchandise, than i am appalled and disgusted!!! this is NOW how a so-called make-up conglomerate should be representing itself, in ANY VENUE!!
well, you certainly get what you pay for...
the pans of the make-up were not full, not lush-looking and almost 3-D like in the photo you are shown above, or really even more than HALF-way, as it shows in the photo. they were EXTREMELY shallow with make-up, and possibly even used and re-smoothed or stamped, if the person knew what they were doing; but my purchase was for a brand new 'Benefit- Confessions of a Concealaholic set'. Other than being gipped on actual product, the brushes themselves looked/felt greasy, so those will be getting a good dousing of eye make-up remover and washed well before ANY use.. Also, upon opening my shrink-wrapped to a cardboard backing little box, i immediately flipped back the slightly-magnetic closure front cover, only to discover that it was ripped completely from the kit itself, along with the side boning, so i had no choice but to super glue it back together, or rip off the entire cover/mirror... YEAH, SUPER GLUE. AWESOME. because breaking out the super glue on something i JUST BOUGHT IS SO what i love to do!! partial conclusion- DO NOT SHOP HERE.

with this specific order, i also got the black smudge pot. it arrived fine, looks new and i have no complaints about it. but, for a non-discounted item +shipping costs, i am SURE they wouldn't skimp..

overall, i am unhappy with this specific order. i will use it, until it is gone but i will be SURE to restock it BEFORE i run out, at Sephora where i should and always should get my make-up and tools, because if you open up your box to a bunch of half-packed trays of make-up (which are very small to begin with, this is ONLY a sample-sizes kit! and depending on how often you plan to use the regime of cream concealer, eyelid primer, under-eye brightener, etc etc, it is probably only about a 3 month supply when FULL. so i got REALLY screwed...) you can just bring it right back, used or unused, and they will swap it for you and make it right.
SO now, i am stuck with a nearly-empty starter kit, that (between using it on myself every now and then, and using it for clients for different issues, it MIGHT last me two months. MIGHT. it IS a really great box to own, substantial-wise and the products are great.. but i would HIGHLY recommend buying from a reputable source, and NOT from here, especially.. i will barely be beginning to learn to perfect the look and this new product into my regime by the time it runs out! not to mention, sending BROKEN packaged items? what if this had been a present? i would have been MORTIFIED!! it is a good thing i noticed it, and that it COULD be glued, or this would be a MUCH less informative and a much more angry review.. which i think i should be pissed off, anyway. but i will just be sure NEVER TO BUY FROM HERE EVER AGAIN! and will probably file a complaint DIRECTLY with Amazon.com.
hope this review is helpful! good products, TERRIBLE SELLER, GO TO a store!!

Borghese Professional Select Cosmetic Brushes Set 10 Premium Brushes & Brush Leather Bag
Borghese Professional Select Cosmetic Brushes Set 10 Premium Brushes & Brush Leather Bag

4.0 out of 5 stars FANTASTIC brushes, FANTASTIC set!!, November 24, 2011
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
let me start off by saying, i am a freelance MUA, and have VERY discerning standards for ALL products that make it into my kit because i refuse to use anything less than the very best, on myself and my customers. so, when a fellow MUA friend excitedly and insistently recommended this brush set to me, i started to do some research on my own. I began to type 'Borghese' into Google, and instantly, articles from Vogue, Style, Cosmo and other high-end magazines popped up, along with high-end make-up blogs, reviewers, websites, etc. This was the first thing to catch my eye, that the brand and these brushes were highly-recommended by just as high-end outlets.
I waited for my friend to get her set first, and she didn't stop raving from the moment she opened her HUGE box of brushes (great leather pouch included) of these 10 synthetic and natural bristle brushes. So, i went ahead and ordered mine, and awaited the arrival, excitedly and impatiently. They took around a business week to arrive (a bit longer than anticipated, but.. USPS), but when they did, i couldn't wait to open the box. The outer box was really difficult to open for some reason, but once you get into it, an inner tray slides out easily, containing all the brushes and the case. The brushes themselves are just great, equal to high-end brand brushes like MAC or Prestige. They're a mix of both synthetic bristle brushes and natural hair brushes, have long, easy to grasp handles for excellent weight distribution. The brushes themselves, for the value, really could not be more high-quality! Amazing set for beginners, and even better for pros who want and need the variations of tools to be prepared with. I have 6 brush sets, and this one is easily one of my top two favorite ones (my other favorite is Too Faced Teddy Bear Hair set, which is a synthetic bristle but feels like silk on the skin, amazing!). I also like how this set comes with differently shaped brushes, and not just your standard flat brushes, that are more impractical for contouring into corners and crevices (ie; the round foundation brush has SO MANY uses!). Also, I have not experienced ANY shedding it so far. (TIP- after washing with baby shampoo/mild shampoo, dry your brushes handle-up, in a cup so that the water does not settle between the bristles and the metal ring, which will loosen the glue, CAUSING shedding and bristle-loss)
The ONLY con to this set; this is a 10-piece set, and the leather case, which is fantastic and folds up nicely into thirds and neatly can be stored in your kit or purse and takes up minimal room, only has 9 spaces for brushes.. the kabuki brush does not have a designated space (hence minus 1 *). BUT, i decided that keeping it in my purse and on my person at all times (making it MY own personal brush for touch-up's on the go.. a kabuki brush, translucent setting powder, oil-absorbing rice papers, a mini-palette, and lip-color is ALL you need in your own bag!) is an even better option :).
GET THIS SET, you are sure to love it as much as I am so far! ENJOY!!

also- after washing your brushes, to help keep their shape, dry them faster, and bristles down, also try a pack of this awesome little creation! (i suggest buying the bigger sizes as well, since these are larger brushes, even though they are made of stretchy mesh-like material)

2.0 out of 5 stars NOT MEANT FOR LUMIX GF3!!, October 20, 2011
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
i bought this case for my brand new GF3, because i thought it was beautiful, slightly vintage, and that it would be a perfect case for when i only wanted to bring my small, 20mm f/1.7 flat lens, not my stock 14-14mm 8x zoom lens. this case ONLY fits on the GF3, IF YOU COMPLETELY REMOVE YOUR LENSES. YOU CAN NOT HAVE ANY LENS ATTACHED TO THE BODY IN ORDER TO USE THIS CASE AS 'SHOWN'. this is EXTREMELY misleading because it defeats the ENTIRE PURPOSE of my purchase of a 'travel' case, and i will now have to carry my bag, with ALL my lenses and attachments, everywhere i go. i specifically purchased this to use as shown as advertised, FALSELY. maybe sellers should do more research into what they are actually selling, like the dimensions of lenses and length, BEFORE promising something will fit, when it clearly does not. for me, this was essentially a waste of the money i spent, and since there are no SMALLER lenses that this camera supports unless you use a different brand, so i really have no idea what the seller was thinking.. oh wait! i'll bet it had something to do with duping people for money.

2.0 out of 5 stars useless and a joke, don't waste your money on this kit., October 20, 2011
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
let me start off by saying, this mish-mosh grab-bag of a kit that is supposedly intended for the DMC-GF3 camera (which includes the 14-42mm stock lens in the box) had absolutely NO rational behind it when assembled. each filter, lens, and the filter set are all meant for COMPLETELY different lenses, and only ONE bower (step-up/attachment) ring is included, so that that the 52mm filters can be used on the 20mm f/1.7 aspherical Panasonic lens.
i have two lenses for my GF3, the stock included 14-42mm. this is what the two 'lenses', or lens attachments is what they really are, are intended to fit, and the only lens that I own that they DO fit. the telephoto lens does basically nothing, with the exception of slightly crisper capture at the longer lens length, and the additional 2x zoom. the .45x wide angle lens converts your view into a 180* radius, and COULD work as a fisheye with the 2x zoom filter but, the company was not thoughtful enough to make sure their parts works integrally. WHY would you do something like THAT? /sarcasm
the lens hood, cleaning cloths, and ESPECIALLY the cleaning 'kit', i could have done without, as the hood is useless anyway, but GF3 users know this (it protrudes too much at the bottom, leaving a shadow from the lip), and the fact that is it on a longer zoom lens does not rectify the issue. i guess the microfiber cloths are helpful to have in my bag, as smudges on glass can ruin your photo.. and the cleaning kit? well, the KIT comes with 3 q-tips, another teeny cloth, and the full bottle of said 'cleaning solution' (smelled like water) and since it was not individually wrapped within the flimsy, cardboard box (as is every item), it leaked, wetting EVERY box in my order and arrived about 3/4 empty.
overall, i would NOT recommend wasting your money on this kit. now i need to find a step-up/bower ring for my 14-42mm lens, AND separate close-up and coated filters! this is the most misleading Amazon item i've ever bought, considering there WAS no detail, no real product description, and no explanation to each piece's compatibility.. so now, there IS one. BUYER BEWARE!
