5.0 out of 5 stars This is just the best switcher....., March 12, 2012

I have bought several of these Philips Switchers the are so far above the others and are amazing...as they do it automatically... no remote, no getting out of bed and pushing bottons... just turn on the DVD Player, Vhs Recoder,I have 5 sony 400 DVD players (thats 2000 DVDs) hooked up, Blu Ray, Audio, whatever,etc.... Seeing how these days the new HD TVs have only two RCA type plugs if that and I already have high quality audio and visual componants that I'm use to and happy with... how does one plug all this into one or two TV inputs... Yeah with these, the quality is great, I've never had a problem with them,, The only thing Philips could improve on is their marketing as I use to see Philips everywhere and now don't .... I got my first one at a Target Store and now they don't carry them or at least not in my store... What more can I say except... Thanks Philips..

Great program wish who's ever in charge of modern day programing would take a hint and go back to entertaing shows insted of all of these horiable reality shows that have nothing to do with reality... It's a shame that the current generation is getting cheated out of real TV Shows and real entertainment just so some producers can save a dollar.... Keep turning the classic TV shows and films into DVDs and I will keep buying them...

This is just the best product... I don't know what happend to their marketing but a year or so ago Philips was everywhere... Maybe it's there Magnovox division getting more press, I really don't know...but glad Amazon has them on line.... Anyway I was looking for an old fashion push botton switcher as I got a new Flat Screen and the back had all these HDMI conectors but none of my components were HDMI..:)I saw one at a dept. store and it said Automatic, Ummm okay...;) It's great you have regular manual push bottons if you want to go that way and Auto.. The auto is great when I want to go from cable to DVD or Vhs or what ever just turn on the component and the film appears on the screen... I'm not sure how they do it if it's magic, or a trained hamster with extra sensory perception that lives inside the box or what, but it works... I own 4 of these now and it is just the best for no problem component switching.. it even has high quality conections for those worring about that... As a professional filmmaker, photographer, videographer, editor, etc... I have everything hooked up to Viewing on a Big Screen, transfering to different formats, editing on my computers etc. , from Batamax, reel to reel sound, VHS, Bluray, DVD,record players,CCD video survalance, audio cassette, etc... And these great little boxes let me hook up more than one at a time... I have an old top of the line Sony VFET (vertical feld effect transistors, it gives the sound of an old tube amp and is just so much better than digital) Audio Amp, I've had it forever and may need a newone one of these days think I'm going to get a few more Philips Auto Switchers for when I have to conect my phono, tape, tuner, reel to reel components to one of the new ones with out all the rca jacks...

In my opinion...

I got this DVD as it was the only place I could find an episode of Hawaiian Eye.. I remember it as a kid and haven't seen it since... It was great... Real entertainment and not these "reality shows" that have nothing to do with reality, that seem to reward many without redeaming qualities and ya wonder where our value system went.;) Yeah it seems like the networks over promote them to save money in production costs and we the consumer get cheeted out of real entertainment...Well here are some great shows that are not only entertaining, but a great look back in history,a nice medium of art neuvo, morals, even fashion inperation..

I wish Warner Bros (think they produced them, its been awhile) would wise up and release some of these great old shows they have in their archives ( Hawaiian Eye, 77 Sunset Strip, Surfside 6,etc..) What are they waiting for the film to get better with age ? Makes one wonder where the corperate desisions made these days come from these days and well then I think about Wall Street, most of our polititions, the economy,etc...and well one can guess... Think I missed that course in collage and glad I did..:) Thanks goodness CBS had the guts and the forsite to dust off Hawaii 50 (not only did they dust it off but but a great re-build it's nice to see we can still make thoses type of shows) and pair it with Tom Seleck's new show Blue Bloods..for us entertainment starved fans on the remote control side of the television... Thanks CBS and thanks to the producers of this DVD for those of us on this side of the screen who can't bare to watch another reality show and want to be entertained...

I knew Don and thought the movie would have more about his accomplishments in both his life and boating biz... I waited forever for this movie to be released and was disapointed.... The book his son Michael Aronow told Don's story in a much better light... With out all of the speculation, drama and opinion in the film...
